The Big Launch: OnePlus And Samsung Set For A Big Phone Week

Last Updated: Samsung and OnePlus have got their big events coming up this week, but there's more in the pipeline that will get people excited. July has already been a busy month for the smartphone market with brands like Nothing, Oppo and Tecno among others launching their new products in the space of 7 days. But the big ticket launches are still coming and you have got brands like Samsung and OnePlus offering their presence in the busy period and getting people excited for the new products. We're not talking about basic and regular devices, these are some of the popular models from both the brands, and one of them includes a foldable lineup. OnePlus Nord 5 Series OnePlus Nord 5 is launching in India and global markets this week, promising a host of new products from the brand added to its lineup. The launch event on Tuesday, July 8 will have a split focus with two markets in mind. The company is bringing a new OnePlus Pad model as well as the OnePlus Buds 4 but most of the emphasis will be around the Nord 5 and Nord CE 5 models, upgrading from the Nord 4 series launched in 2024. OnePlus Nord 5 is going to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset even though the 8s Gen 4 is already available in the market. The new model is also going to come with a large vapour cooling tech and support for 144 FPS on BGMI and COD Mobile games. Going by the launch teaser, the Nord 5 and CE 5 should get a dual rear camera system and the latter is confirmed to pack a mammoth 7,100mAh battery. OnePlus should also offer 80W charging speed for these devices, similar to the Nord 4 models and keep them priced aggressively within Rs 30,000 in the market. The Buds 4 is also getting some attention these days and the brand has teased some of the ANC features and even the design/fit of the Buds across its channels. It also gets AI translation with a tap on the buds along with roll over controls. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 launch week is finally here and the company will also unveil the new Galaxy Z Flip 7 model as well as the Galaxy Watch 8 series. But it seems the brand has another big product lined up for the big Unpacked event, and this could be the affordable version of the Flip device. Samsung has been in the foldable business for much longer than most brands, and it is high time we see a product that shows its evolution and brings a product that has the potential to go mainstream. According to a tipster, the FE Flip phone could be powered by the same Exynos chipset as the premium Galaxy S24 series. We are eager to see how aggressive the brand is ready to go with the FE Flip model, and whether it can deliver a product with a price tag that convinces people to buy and get more of them interested in the form factor. AI+ Budget Phones Amongst these biggest you an all-new AI+ brand unveiling its first smartphones in the budget range called Pulse and Nova 5G. The launch of these devices in India is on July 8 at 12:30 PM. These smartphones will be available through online channels. The upcoming device is built on nxtQ's NxtQuantum OS, which aims to offer a focused hardware and camera experience. The brand is making tall claims about its data being stored on MeitY-certified servers that are hosted on Google Cloud in India. These devices are expected to start under Rs. 5,000 which gives it an exciting highlight and one worth keeping an eye on. First Published: July 07, 2025, 08:15 IST

Samsung's Affordable Galaxy Z Flip FE Model Launching Next Week? Here's What We Know

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is launching next week and it seems the brand has a lot to unpack at the big event in New York. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is launching in less than a week from now and the company will also unveil the new Galaxy Z Flip 7 model as well as the Galaxy Watch 8 series. But it seems the brand has another big product lined up for the big Unpacked event, and this could be the affordable version of the Flip device. Yes, last minute leaks were spotted recently which showed the case for the Z Flip 7 FE model that were eventually taken down from the internet this week. Spigen seems to have been the culprit for these leaks and somehow listed the cases for the rumoured Flip device before taking it down. Even though the listing did not show the product, the web was quick to pick its trail which is now all over the search listings on Google. The leaks were accidental from Spigen but we have been hearing murmurs about the variant for quite some time. The Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9 will introduce the premium Fold 7 and Flip 7 models and it seems like the right platform to showcase something different. We're still not certain about the Flip 7 FE getting unveiled, but Samsung could give us a short teaser for its tri-fold device at the New York event next week. The tri-fold device has been publicly confirmed by the brand earlier this year. And now it is a matter of seeing the product in some shape or form. The details about this special unveiling comes via a tipster named Digital Chat Station who claims the Galaxy tri-fold device will be unveiled on the sidelines of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 launch event. It looks like Samsung is going to have a lot to unpack at the Galaxy event and we can't wait to see what all it has lined up. First Published: July 03, 2025, 10:29 IST

Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip FE Launch Could Be Delayed This Year: Here's When It Might Come

Last Updated: Samsung is going to have a busy 2025 with a launch spree which should include a trio of foldable devices along with its first tri-fold model in the market. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 series launch is likely to happen in the next few months, with most reports hinting at a July 2025 launch this year. The company is widely expected to bring its first FE version of Flip model to the market but it seems the launch has been delayed. According to reports the Galaxy Z Flip FE model is going to be Samsung's first real focus on the foldable segment with an affordable product but now it seems the company is shifting its strategy to align with its current lineup. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE Launch Delayed: But Why Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE launch is now pushed to Q4 2025 as per the report, which means we won't be seeing it announced along with the Z Fold and Flip 7 models. The good news is that we could see the affordable Flip model introduced with Samsung's first tri-fold device later this year. The Q4 timeline suggests Samsung could debut the new foldables around October which is a month after the iPhone 17 series rolls out from Apple. According to a tipster, the FE Flip phone could be powered by the same Exynos chipset as the premium Galaxy S24 series. Samsung has talked about exploring ways to reduce the entry barriers for foldables so that more customers consider buying them. And one big way to do that is by offering its products at a more accessible price point. We are eager to see how aggressive the brand is ready to go with the FE Flip model, and whether it can deliver a product with a price tag that convinces people to buy and get more of them interested in the form factor. One UI 7 update delays for its earlier Galaxy S flagship phones, with the 2024 models finally getting the new Android 15 version in India this week. First Published: April 24, 2025, 11:24 IST
