Unboxing: JBL's Latest Flip 7 and Charge 6 Offer Unmatched Audio Experience

JBLhas revamped its signature Flip 7 and Charge 6 portable speakers line with new and improved features. The new generation of speakers not only arrives in a range of bold colorways but also features innovative AI Sound Boost technology that analyzes music in real-time, optimized to deliver crisp audio quality without distortion for an elevated listening experience. Staying true to its portability legacy, the Flip 7's redesigned accessory system opens up new ways to carry the speaker. Inspired by the outdoors, it features two accessories: a finger loop and a carabiner that snaps into place to take the music wherever you are. However, it's the Flip 7's newly upgraded, powerful bass that's a highlight of this iteration of the series. As well as using the latest Bluetooth® 5.4 for improved connectivity, it also handles multi-speaker connection with Auracast™ and boasts up to 16 hours of music on Playtime Boost mode from a single charge. Externally, it features an IP68 waterproof and dustproof rating, as well as a drop-proof design from up to 1m, which provides added peace of mind. While the Charge 6 offers many of the Flip 7's features, this revamped speaker is now also equipped with a detachable strap that can be configured in a variety of ways — such as over the wrist or speaker-wide — inspired by the silhouette of a purse and designed for on-the-go activities making for the perfect wearable accessory. As well as the aforementioned AI Sound Boost technology and upgraded woofer providing deeper, undistorted bass no matter the volume, the introduction of Auracast™ brings multiple speakers together. With a monumental 28 hours of battery usage in Playtime Boost mode, it's also drop-proof and boasts IP68-certified waterproof and dustproof qualities. Both speakers arrive in seven color combinations: 'Black,' 'Blue,' 'White,' 'Red,' 'Camo,' 'Pink,' and 'Purple.' The JBLFlip 7andCharge 6retail for $149.95 USD and $199.95 USD, respectively, and are both available to purchase from the brand's website now.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 full design leaked, this is what it may look like

Samsung's highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event is right around the corner, slated for July 9, 2025, and as always, the leaks are coming thick and fast. Among the stars of the show will be the Galaxy Z Fold 7, and thanks to well-known tipster Evan Blass, we now have perhaps our clearest look yet at the sleek new Galaxy Z Fold 7 rendersBlass shared a fresh batch of renders via his Substack newsletter, showing off the Z Fold 7 in all its foldable glory. The images reveal the device from practically every angle and confirm that Samsung's next-gen foldable is set to be considerably slimmer than its predecessor. The renders showcase three-colour options: Jet Black, Blue Shadow, and a new Silver Shadow variant — a shade that hadn't surfaced in previous leaks. advertisement Interestingly, these colours match up with what appeared on an official staging site that surfaced earlier this week. That site hinted at a fourth option — Green Mint — which might end up being an online exclusive, although Blass hasn't provided visuals of that one just yet. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Launch dateMark your calendar: Samsung has officially confirmed that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 9, 2025. The South Korean tech giant is expected to lift the lid on its latest generation of foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip Unpacked 2025: What to expect?Beyond the standard Fold and Flip, the rumour mill has churned out whispers of a potential Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra making its debut — though we'll have to wait and see if that materialises. What's more certain is that the Z Fold 7 will be lighter and more pocket-friendly than ever. Leaks suggest the phone will weigh in at around 215 grams — 24 grams less than last year's model. Samsung also appears to be giving users a bit more screen to play with: expect a 6.5-inch cover display paired with a roomy 8.2-inch inner it's not just about smartphones. Samsung is widely tipped to introduce its latest wearables at the same event. Rumours point to the Galaxy Watch 8 series — including a Classic model — and a new Galaxy Watch Ultra for those wanting something a bit more Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 price leakIf you were hoping for a price freeze, brace yourself. A leak from Dutch site NieuweMobiel claims the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 briefly appeared on an Italian retailer's site, revealing some eye-watering prices. The Fold 7 is expected to start at EUR 2,227.71 (around Rs 2,23,000) for the 256GB version, climbing to EUR 2,309.03 (roughly Rs 2,31,100) for the 512GB model. Meanwhile, the Flip 7's 512GB variant is tipped to cost EUR 1,425.51 (about Rs 1,43,000).That's a noticeable jump compared to last year's launch pricing — the Z Fold 6 debuted at EUR 2,119 (around Rs 2,12,100) for its 512GB version, while the Flip 6 came in at EUR 1,319 (roughly Rs 1,32,000) for the same storage capacity. It's worth noting that these prices factor in Italy's 22 per cent VAT, so pricing may vary depending on where you are in Europe.- Ends

The Morning After: Samsung's big foldable Unpacked event takes place on July 9

The third Unpacked of 2025 (following installments in January and May) will be on July 9 at 10AM ET, kicking off in Brooklyn, New York. The company usually debuts its latest foldables in the summer, so we're expecting to see the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 here. However, there's an extra wrinkle (don't say wrinkle with foldables!): It's looking like the premium Galaxy Z Fold Ultra is joining the family. What exactly can you expect? We've written all about it. When it comes to foldables, one recent leak suggested Gemini Live will be a core part of the foldables' presentation — which would make sense with this form factor. You'd be able to chat with the foldables without having to unfurl them. Leaked renders suggest the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will have a slimmer profile than the prior model and even a navy blue option. Escape from the grey! If the renders are accurate, the cover display and inner display will be bigger too. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will also get a bigger screen, apparently. Then there's the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra. There are no specs teased yet, but the company insists this will have 'industry-leading hardware, cutting-edge performance and seamless AI integration optimized for the foldable format.' This doesn't appear to be the tri-fold design we've heard and seen in various places, however. Maybe that's a Fold 8 situation. Typically, Samsung will take the opportunity to update its accessories too, so there's a good chance we'll see the Galaxy Watch 8 and/or the Galaxy Buds. Roll on July 9 to see what appears. — Mat Smith Get Engadget's newsletter delivered direct to your inbox. Subscribe right here! Tesla quietly launched its robotaxi service over the weekend for a small group of very vocal test passengers. The Sunday rollout included only a small number of cars and heavy human supervision. The company's cautious rollout ultimately seems for the best — at least one robotaxi attempted to drive on the wrong side of the road. The ride video shared by Rob Maurer showed the Tesla's wheel start jerking back and forth, and the car briefly crosses to the wrong side of the road. (The in-car supervisor didn't appear to do anything.) Other early riders have shared multiple instances of robotaxis going over the speed limit. Continue reading. Apple has already walked back some of the proposed design revisions it announced during WWDC 2025. 9to5Mac noticed the most recent developer betas included a darker, blurrier level of transparency, making parts of iOS et al easier to read and less of a carcrash, visually. The other change reversed was the Finder app in macOS Tahoe. The previous developer beta flipped the colors in the icon, putting blue on the right and white on the left. Yeah, that's it. Aren't there many, many more things to complain and be worried about in June 2025? According to an image leaked on X and Game Sandwich, Xbox is reportedly teaming up with Meta to release an Xbox-branded Quest 3S headset in the coming days. The rumored specs show a very similar build to the base model Quest 3S with 128GB of storage but will reportedly be bundled with an Xbox wireless controller, a Meta Quest Elite strap and three months of Xbox Game Pass. Specs-wise, it seems largely the same VR headset, just with a moodier paint job. Given we've just seen the ASUS handheld collaboration, Xbox is having a busy hardware quarter.
