Lamine Yamal reveals Barcelona teammate's new nickname
Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has this weekend christened teammate Gavi with a new nickname. This comes owing to a striking new hairstyle adopted by the latter. Wide-man Lamine and midfielder Gavi are both enjoying their summer holidays at present, following the conclusion of a thoroughly successful season in 2024/25. Advertisement The two Spanish internationals played important roles in Hansi Flick's troops ultimately romping to a domestic treble, as well as coming within a whisker of a Champions League final berth. Afforded a month of rest ahead of their return to pre-season training next month, the duo late this week reunited to spend some time together. Valencia star the subject of €5m Eredivisie offer
A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit Valencia is the subject of serious interest on the part of Dutch giants Feyenoord. That's according to transfer journalist Nacho Sanchis, who points towards Yarek Gasiorowski as the player in question. Advertisement Youngster Yarek is for his part fresh off something of a hit-and-miss campaign with Valencia in 2024/25. All told, in La Liga, the 20-year-old racked up 15 appearances, including nine starts. Despite not yet establishing himself as first-choice at Mestalla, though, the Spanish youth international remains held in high regard across his home country. And as alluded to above, such admiration now appears to be spreading across the continent… As per a report from Nacho Sanchis: 'Valencia have received an offer for Yarek Gasiorowski from Feyenoord. A long-sidelined member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has on Wednesday hinted that he is closing on an imminent return to the pitch. The player in question? Marc Bernal. Bernal, for his part, was of course dealt a hammer blow all the way back in August of last year. Advertisement After establishing himself as a key figure in the engine room setup of new boss Hansi Flick at just 17 years of age, Bernal picked up a knee problem late in a 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano. As much was subsequently confirmed to be an ACL tear, ruling the starlet out for the long-term. Updates on his recovery have since been few and far between, amid hopes of Bernal being back fully fit and firing for the beginning of next season.
