Long-term Barcelona injury absentee drops return hint
The player in question? Marc Bernal.
Bernal, for his part, was of course dealt a hammer blow all the way back in August of last year.

After establishing himself as a key figure in the engine room setup of new boss Hansi Flick at just 17 years of age, Bernal picked up a knee problem late in a 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano.
As much was subsequently confirmed to be an ACL tear, ruling the starlet out for the long-term.
Updates on his recovery have since been few and far between, amid hopes of Bernal being back fully fit and firing for the beginning of next season.
All of a Barcelona persuasion will therefore no doubt be intrigued to learn of the player himself providing an insight into his wellbeing at present.
Taking to his official Instagram account on Wednesday, Bernal unveiled a photo of himself on the training pitch, accompanied by the caption:

Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed explains recent Instagram post discussing lofty 2025 goals
Texas A&M's 2025 season won't just hinge on starting quarterback Marcel Reed's performance. Still, the redshirt sophomore must improve as a pocket passer for the Aggie offense to reach its full potential under OC Collin Klein. Still, the Tennessee native deserves grace after being thrown in the fire as the starter last season amid Conner Weigman's injury issues. With Weigman now at Houston, it has been Reed's job since the start of the offseason. From what we've seen and heard over the past six months, Marcel has put in the reps with various QB coaches to improve his release, accuracy, and touch before entering fall camp. After the Maroon & White spring game, the lack of blocking up front due to the O-line holdouts did not provide Reed a fair shot. Still, he did connect on several solid passes to new wide receivers KC Concepcion and Mario Craver and looked much more confident in the pocket. Reed does not need to play at an "elite" level for the Aggies to reach their goals due to the depth at running back and veteran offensive line, but that won't stop the former four-star prospect from chasing after his lofty goals. After signing an NIL deal with ENG Aviation, a private jet company dedicated to transporting life-saving organ transplants, Reed caught up with Texas-based journalist Chancellor Johnson, who asked the Aggie signal caller about his recent Instagram post where he posted a photo of himself in his jersey with the description "C-stat (arrow), New York (arrow), Miami," which may have not been obious to all who read it. 'C-Stat (A&M), New York (Heisman), Miami (CFB championship) y'all check the locations, I put them there for a reason." Most quarterbacks at the Power Four level have Heisman and National Championship hopes, which is what makes every game competitive, and why we all love college football. Reed isn't the last QB to speak in this similar vein, and who knows? Perhaps the upgraded wide receiver room, increased running back depth, and a full offseason as the starter will propel Marcel Reed into elite territory in 2025.
