27 summer heatwave fashion buys that will keep you cool while the weather is hot, from £16
Daily Mail journalists select and curate the products that feature on our site. If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission - learn more As the heatwaves continue, you may be wondering how to navigate summer without resorting to walking down the local high street in your swimmers. Whether you are staying in the UK or wiggling off to sunnier destinations, these looks have you covered from dawn to dusk. Simply switch up your accessories for strappy heels and gold jewellery and they'll scream holiday evening glamour. Linen is a longstanding favourite thanks to its breathability and endlessly chic vibe – think off-duty Parisienne sauntering around the city. It also washes amazingly, which, let's face it, is a necessity in these temperatures. (When drying your linen pieces, make sure to hang them out immediately to stretch them out, or have the hand-steamer at the ready.) Of course, linen comes with a word of warning: it will crease. However, this is an accepted part of the aesthetic and doesn't prevent it looking effortless and put-together. Linen wasn't the only hero trend of S/S 25: the runways were also big on crochet, in the form of dresses, skirts, tops, bags and swimwear. With labels such as Gabriela Hearst, Acne Studios, Isabel Marant and Ralph Lauren showing looks inspired by the traditional fishnet design, it was only a matter of time until the high street put a modern (and cheaper) spin on the trend. To really make the most of their gorgeous neutral tones, team these looks with leather, woven; and chunky accessories. Hair: Jamie McCormick using Hair by Sam McKnight. Make-up: Jose Bass using Chanel Les Beiges Golden Hour collection and No 1 de Chanel Body Serum-In-Mist. Model: Anissa at The Hive

Succession star Annabelle Dexter-Jones ties the knot five months after engagement to chef Daniel Humm
Succession star Annabelle Dexter-Jones has tied the knot. The 38-year-old actress married 48-year-old Swiss chef Daniel Humm last weekend, with Humm taking to Instagram on Tuesday to share the news. 'I don't know where to even begin but this past weekend I got to marry my soulmate,' he began a caption as he shared a photo of his now-wife in a white dress by Gabriela Hearst. The note to his one million followers continued, 'my best friend @gabrielahearst and her incredible team created this poetic dress that shares the same beauty of Annabelle, a beauty that seems to be from a different time.' Their engagement was announced in February via social media as Humm wrote online: 'When you know, you know. With you it's been so obvious @princesssummerfall.' Shortly before their nuptials, the gushing fiancé shared a photo kissing his bride-to-be and wrote, 'Next time we'll kiss we'll be married.' The wedding was officiated by Francesco Clemente and literary icon Fran Lebowitz was present as a witness. Annabelle and Daniel were initially linked in September when they were spotted sharing PDA at the U.S. Open. Humm is a Michelin-starred chef who presides over the fine dining Big Apple establishment Eleven Madison Park. He previously dated actress Demi Moore, and he was married once before to Geneen Wright, with whom he shares daughters Vivienne and Colette. The culinary extraordinaire also shares daughter Justine with ex-girlfriend Elaine Mathieu. In June he shared an image of his daughters with Annabelle on a beach, writing, 'Life never really ever made sense before YOU @princesssummerfall ! Thank you so much for the endless love you share with me and my daughters. Justine, Vivienne and Colette. Love you very BIG.' Justine took to the comments to say, 'I'm super happy for you - love you guys.' Humm wrote in his post revealing the engagement, 'Never did I imagine someone so special would exist, and you have shown me what true love is. Together, we will be on this journey forever on. Love you.' Dexter-Jones, who portrayed media heiress Naomi Pierce on the HBO hit series, was previously linked to artist Dan Colen, 46. The entertainer, who has also appeared on American Horror Story, was also formerly in a relationship with André Saraiva, 54, a prominent artist and businessman. She is the daughter of jewelry designer Ann Dexter-Jones and Foreigner musician Mick Jones. Annabelle is half-siblings, via her mother, with music producer Mark Ronson, DJ Samantha Ronson and fashion designer Charlotte Ronson.

Gabriela Hearst Resort 2026 Collection
Gabriela Hearst is always seeking. She's studied Druids, ancient mythology, and groundbreaking women across time. Lately, she's turned to the Tarot, pulling a card each morning and writing down the results. The Lovers card in the Marseille deck gave this collection its color palette: pink, green, and blue, instead of the black, white, gold, and red she typically favors. It also gave her a template for this photo shoot; in the Marseille deck, there are three figures on the Lovers card rather than the usual pair: two women and a man. Hearst did some rearranging, she's got one woman and two men in these pictures, and more power to her. Power women are Hearst's clientele—she reports that tailoring is 24% of her sales. To better cater to these customers, she's added a bespoke service at her Madison Avenue boutique; presumably, if it's successful, it could be rolled out across her store network. She's cut a pre-fall pantsuit in cotton, a material she typically avoids because of the extraordinary amounts of water it requires to grow/ This cotton is grown on a regenerative farm in Italy; 'it gives this fresh, sharp look to the suiting,' she said. Other suit jackets were swaddled under bomber jackets, soft power being the look she was going for. As ever, Hearst's materials are remarkable, whether its the floral silk jacquard of a romantic dress, lifted from a drawing of her daughter's; the fine cashmere knitted with beads of a sweater and matching midi skirt; or the plongé leather of an M-65 field jacket. New this season is a double-face cashmere coat in black that reverses to camel, which bumps up its functionalty (she also showed it in a burgundy and pink version). Another novelty: 100% recycled denim used for jackets and jeans with wool, enamel, and leather buttons that you can twist off so you can throw the pieces in the washing machine to clean.
