Woman screams 'I'm going to die' as she dangles above 100ft drop on ferris wheel

Things took a traumatic turn at a carnival in Mandirituba, southern Brazil, when a confused woman 'thought the ride had finished' and attempted to leave the carriage in mid-air This is the nailbiting moment a terrified woman clings on for dear life screaming for help as she dangles from a ferris wheel facing a 100ft drop. ‌ Chilling video footage from a carnival in Mandirituba, southern Brazil, shows her in grave dangers after her legs and most of her body slipped through the safety gate. Gripping onto the carriage's bars, she knows one wrong move could see her plunge to her death. ‌ Phone footage of the drama recorded by horrified onlookers shows the big wheel as it inches around an entire rotation before carrying the woman to the ground. As her arms begin to tire having held firm, she can be heard calling: "Help, I'm going to die! I'm going to fall!" ‌ It later emerged that the woman, who has not been named, had opened the cabin's safety barrier and tried to get out believing the ride had ended. But just as she stepped forward, the ride lurched forward again leaving her clinging to the railings to stop herself falling, NewsX report. In a statement, Mandirituba City Hall said "The technical team immediately identified the situation and operated the equipment so that the cabin slowly lowered to the ground, allowing the passenger to be safely removed." Despite the terrifying experience, the woman declined medical attention and walked away unhurt but visibly shaken. ‌ It is not the only shocking fairground incident this summer. The waltzers ride at the Galactic Carnival Festival in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, left children 'shaken up' after it suddenly appeared to malfunction as they went 'flying' with thrill-seekers inside. Dad Kevin McNulty said after horror in late May that he was in the car on the ride behind his three children aged 13, 12 and 7 when it it suddenly "came completely off" and went "flying" into the seat he was in. It was like "something you see in the movies', Kevin told Edinburgh Live. He said his children were shaken but 'not too bad' considering what happened. Kevin said: "Last night we were at these shows at Westerhailes Plaza, my three kids were on the Waltzers with myself and Brooke in car behind. Then the unthinkable happened. Going FULL PELT (not slowing down) their car came completely off and then went flying into our car. 'It then smashed about the place crashing into the side off the track, thankfully there was a heavy large speaker that they collided with or they would have been through the whole thing and then the ending would have been a completely different story, a thought I can't stop thinking about. "The shows continued to go (not the Waltzers) but place should have been shut down for a full inspection. It was like something you see in the movies and my kids are very very lucky that they managed to get out of this still walking."

Girl, two, fatally electrocuted while bouncing on funfair trampoline

The nightmare unfolded as the little girl and three older children aged 8, 11 and 12 accidentally touched an electrified metal fence surrounding a giant fairground trampoline A two-year-old was killed and other children injured after they were electrocuted at a funfair. The nightmare unfolded as the little girl and three older children touched a metal fence that was surrounding a giant fairground trampoline. ‌ Paramedics fought desperately to resuscitate the two-year-old for half an hour but she was tragically declared dead in the early hours of June 15, after the children touched the fence around midnight. ‌ It is understood that the kids were playing on the trampoline at the Spanish attraction when they touched a metal mesh fence around it which had an electric current running through it. Horrified witnesses described seeing the girl, who has not been named, unconscious and bleeding from her nose following the appalling accident. Three other children, an eight-year-old girl and two boys aged 11 and 12, were also taken to hospital after suffering electric shocks from the fence. A 29-year-old woman who witnessed the harrowing scenes play out had to be treated for an anxiety attack, local media reported. The fairground was sealed off by Spain's Spain's Civil Guard police as they launched an investigation into negligence and involuntary manslaughter. The probe will look into whether the attraction was safe to use or was connected to the electrical network in a dangerous manner. Three days of mourning were declared by Murcia City Council and officials expressed condolences. The fairground is a temporary setup to celebrate summer festivities in the town, which is home to around 6,000 people. Concern has spread nationwide following the harrowing incident, with widespread fears around the safety of temporary fairground rides across Spain, especially during festival season. ‌ As investigations continue locals are calling for tighter rules and more inspections around the electrical supplies at the events. Meanwhile a fairground ride went 'flying' with children inside at the Galactic Carnival Festival in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, after it suddenly appeared to malfunction. The waltzers ride suddenly "came completely off" and went "flying" according to dad Kevin McNulty who was in the car on the ride behind his three children aged 13, 12 and 7 when the horror incident occurred last month. 'My three kids were on the Waltzers with myself and Brooke in car behind,' he said. 'Then the unthinkable happened. Going FULL PELT (not slowing down) their car came completely off and then went flying into our car. 'It then smashed about the place crashing into the side off the track, thankfully there was a heavy large speaker that they collided with or they would have been through the whole thing and then the ending would have been a completely different story'.

'I watched my kids go flying in fairground horror as ride came off the track'

The heart-stopping moment a fairground ride car 'smashed about before coming off the track' at a festival in Edinburgh was captured in footage - children on the ride were 'shaken' A terrifying moment unfolded at the Galactic Carnival Festival in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, when a waltzer ride malfunctioned and went "flying" with children still inside. The frightening incident, which was caught on video, left children "shaken up" after the ride appeared to suddenly derail. Kevin McNulty, a father of three, was on the ride behind his children - aged 13, 12, and seven - when the ride unexpectedly came off and flew toward his seat. Kevin, who was also with his partner, Brooke, described the moment as something "you'd see in the movies." The incident took place around 7pm on Sunday night. ‌ While his children were understandably shaken, Kevin said they were "not too bad" considering the severity of what happened. ‌ Kevin told EdinburghLive: "Last night we were at these shows at Westerhailes Plaza, my three kids were on the Waltzers with myself and Brooke in car behind. Then the unthinkable happened. Going FULL PELT (not slowing down) their car came completely off and then went flying into our car. 'It then smashed about the place crashing into the side off the track, thankfully there was a heavy large speaker that they collided with or they would have been through the whole thing and then the ending would have been a completely different story (a thought I can't stop thinking about). "The shows continued to go (not the Waltzers) but place should have been shut down for a full inspection. It was like something you see in the movies and my kids are very very lucky that they managed to get out of this still walking." Kevin and his family claim they were then offered a refund before he took the children to A&E. ‌ He continued: "They said they would take our wristbands off and said, 'do you want a refund?' I thought, 'Yeah, of course.' "We just wanted out. We didn't want to be there after what happened." It comes after an incident in India in March left two students injured when a funfair ride malfunctioned in mid-air. The horror moment at the MGM Amusement Park in Chennai saw a swinging boat ride careen several feet into the air when a large metal rod suddenly detached and landed on the two riders. ‌ The college students were on a trip to the park when disaster struck. The second victim was also injured but was later described as being in stable condition. After the accident, Kanathur police registered a case against the amusement park, while three staff members linked to the ride's operation were arrested. Safety inspections on all the other rides at the park were carried out, authorities said, while the boat swing ride was shut down. A similar incident in India in December last year left a 13-year-old girl dangling 60 feet in the area after she fell out of a Ferris wheel pod. She continued to hold one of the bars tightly while dangling from the rotating structure. Once the ride reached its lowest point, a worker was able to walk over to the girl and help her off.

The moment funfair ride comes off the track with children on board

A dad-of-three said his kids are 'very lucky' to have walked out of the Waltzers funfair ride after it appeared to malfunction at the Galactic Carnival Festival in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, last night. Kevin McNulty said he was on the ride with his three children and partner when the 'unthinkable happened.' The car came 'completely off' when the ride was going at 'full pelt' as the kids were enjoying the day out in one car and Kevin and his partner rode in another behind them. On footage captured by the dad-of-three, fairgoers can be first heard laughing and whooping in excitement as the ride spins around. However, the sounds turn into terrified screams when some of the cars crash off the spinning platform and onto the side. A panicked child can be heard yelling 'oh my God, oh my God,' with crying in the background. Kevin wrote on social media how the 'car came completely off and then went flying into our car and then smashed about the place crashing into the side off the track.' He said hurtling cars were 'thankfully' blocked by heavy large speaker 'that they collided with or they would have been through the whole thing and then the ending would have been a completely different story.' Kevin said he 'can't stop thinking about' what could have happened if the equipment had not been there. Pictures he took appear to show nuts and bolts on the floor near the ride in the immediate aftermath of the accident. Kevin claimed that when a male manager arrived, he told the workers to 'get the bolts off the ground before they get pictures,' accusing him of not giving 'a single care' about his children. He said his children are 'very lucky that they managed to get out of this still walking.' Other rides then continued, but the Waltzers was stopped, he said. However, he said he thinks the fair 'should have been shut down for a full inspection.' More Trending Hundreds of people commented after Kevin shared the experience on social media. One person said: 'Horrendous and could have so easily been a different outcome! Shocking.' Another said: 'Thats horrendous hope they are all ok.'
