She said: 'Everyone does cream - I wanted something different. Sweet, savoury, and a little bit weird… but it works! 'I brought it as a bit of a laugh, but honestly, people loved it. I think I've started something.' Reactions ranged from horrified to curious, with some even asking for a taste. One fellow tennis fan said: "I had to double take when I saw it, but I think it's pretty gross. 'Strawberries and cream are a match made in heaven - this dip should be reserved for pizza, and only pizza.' But Jennifer Holmes, from London disagreed, saying: "I'm all for the sweet and savoury mix - someone has to start the trend, take peanut butter and jelly for example, that started with confusion but then went on to take the world by storm." Wimbledon is reported to get through more than 1.9 million strawberries every year, as fans flock from around the globe for the beloved snack. This equates to a staggering 200,000 portions enjoyed each year during the Championships. They're drizzled in more than 7,000 litres of cream, although that number may drop slightly, if the bizarre Garlic & Herb Dip trend catches on. Wimbledon's Berry Delight The price for a portion of strawberries and cream remained the same for a decade and a half, however, this year Wimbledon has officially hiked up its prices. The iconic item has seen a 20p increase in price, going from £2.50 to £2.70. A Wimbledon spokesperson said: "We feel that this modest increase still ensures that our world-famous strawberries are available at a very reasonable price." Another thing that has changed in recent years, is a plant-based cream for vegans, made available at certain outlets around the facility. A spokesperson for Domino's, said: 'When this popped up on our Instagram, it was the first time we've seen someone enjoying our dip with strawberries! 'How people enjoy our Garlic & Herb Dip is up to them - after all, lots of strange combinations were only strange until someone tried them. 'Perhaps next year we'll see raspberries dipped into BBQ Sauce, or bananas drizzled with Honey and Mustard. 'Brits are renowned for their sense of individualism, and there's nothing more British than Wimbledon, so keep your eyes peeled.'

Couple who eat Domino's on every anniversary serve slices at wedding

Olivia, 32, and Clarke, 36, had the pizza chain on their third date where they fell in love and order the same dishes every year for their anniversary meal. A couple with a deep love for Domino's pizza celebrated their wedding by serving up slices of their favourite food on their special day. Olivia, 32, and her now husband, Clarke, 36, fell head over heels in love while sharing a Domino's Veggie Supreme and Pepperoni Passion with stuffed crust on their third date. The pair, who have been together for five years, commemorate their anniversary each year by ordering the same dish. It was hardly a shock then when the pizza-adoring duo decided to include their beloved dish in their wedding celebrations at Tullyveery House in Northern Ireland, earlier this week. ‌ ‌ Olivia, from south London, reached out to her local Domino's branch and they certainly delivered. The team even threw in a complimentary 60-litre keg of the couple's preferred dip: Garlic & Herb. "We ordered Domino's on our third date - a Veggie Supreme with extra sweetcorn, pineapple and a BBQ base, and a Pepperoni Passion with stuffed crust – and it quickly became our thing," said Olivia. "I contacted the Domino's Downpatrick store, in the hope they could step in. They sent us the giant Garlic and Herb dip keg to conquer those late night cravings, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made!" One of Olivia's bridesmaids, Nic, posted a video of the pizza-themed wedding on TikTok, leaving viewers both amazed and slightly peckish. The wedding guests were utterly astounded. Bridesmaid Nic said: "We knew they would have some fun and quirky touches in their wedding – but we could never have imagined this!" ‌ The sauce was showcased near the dance floor, allowing guests to dip their slices whilst showing off their moves. Clarke, who is from County Down, said: "Everyone has been absolutely loving it – we can't stop laughing at the TikTok comments." "Huge thanks to Domino's for once again being a part of our love story and making our wedding one to remember!" he added. The video has now amassed over 533k views and 22K likes. One user commented "That is absolutely awesome take it my invite was lost in the mail" while another said "I want this but like for my house lol." Domino's official TikTok account cheekily added: "Thanks for the invite". According to Hitched, the average UK wedding now exceeds £20,000 and many couples are seeking ways to maximise their budget. Late-night nibbles have become a necessity with 'stomach-lining' snacks such as chips, fried chicken, cheese toasties and sliders. Domino's spokesperson Izzy Gardener stated: "Our famous Garlic & Herb Dip has been a staple at celebrations big and small, but this might be the biggest effort yet – talk about dipping your big day in joy!"
