Chelsea Are Keeping A Keen Eye On This Manchester United Winger: Good Option For Maresca?
In a recent report, ESPN's James Olley claimed that Chelsea are keeping a keen eye on Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho. It has been revealed that the Blues are monitoring the situation of the Argentine attacker as they look to recruit him this summer. Garnacho's Impressive Form In English Football Garnacho had a decent campaign at Old Trafford recently but struggled to find consistency at times for Man United in the final third. The 21-year-old found the back of the net 11 times and earned ten assists in 58 matches for the Red Devils last season in multiple competitions. The Argentine talent was a real menace in the opponent's half as he averaged 3.44 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He kept 34.5% of his attempts on target. Garnacho was tidy when interchanging possession with his teammates in the final third after completing 78.9% of his attempted passes in the English top flight (stats via Garnacho's current contract at the Mancunian club will run out in the summer of 2028. Therefore, it won't be easy for Chelsea to get a deal done for him this off-season. (Photo by) Is Garnacho A Good Option For Chelsea Boss Enzo Maresca? Garnacho is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few dangerous runs with it in the final third. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and has got the eye to play some killer passes in the opponent's half. The Argentina international is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also perform as a right-winger or as a centre-forward if required. He is already quite familiar with Premier League football and won't take any time to adjust to life at Chelsea. Garnacho would add more pace and goals to Enzo Maresca's frontline. He is good enough to serve as a useful rotational piece in the West London club's match-day squad. At 21, Garnacho has the potential to be a future star in the Premier League. Therefore, it makes sense for the Blues to get him on board this summer. He has what it takes to help Chelsea compete across all fronts over the next decade which makes him a decent option for the London giants to consider this off-season.

Manchester United Slash Garnacho Price To £40M Amid Transfer Interest: Report
Last Updated: Man United have now reduced Garnacho's asking price from £70 to £40 million. The decision is aimed at raising funds to strengthen Ruben Amorim's squad for the 2025/26 season. Alejandro Garnacho is one of five Manchester United players reportedly keen to leave Old Trafford this summer. Earlier reports claimed that Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia had all informed the club about their desire to explore moves away. Rashford has already secured a high-profile loan switch to Barcelona, leaving Garnacho as the next big name potentially heading for the exit door. The 21-year-old winger has attracted interest from Premier League giants Chelsea and Serie A side Napoli. Asking Price Cut to Speed Up Transfer According to ESPN, Manchester United have now reduced Garnacho's asking price from £70 million to £40 million. The decision is reportedly aimed at raising funds to strengthen Ruben Amorim's squad for the 2025/26 season. The reduced valuation has alerted several European clubs. Bayern Munich, the German Bundesliga champions, have previously enquired about what it would take to sign Garnacho and could revive their interest. Bayern's top priority remains Liverpool winger Luis Diaz, which means Garnacho could become an alternative target. Despite Bayern's interest, Garnacho is understood to prefer staying in the Premier League, with Chelsea seen as the favourites if a domestic move happens. The transfer rumours have sparked plenty of fan reaction online. Many United fans believe selling Garnacho to Bayern could indirectly impact Liverpool's pursuit of Newcastle striker Alexander Isak. One fan wrote: 'Sell him to Bayern, Diaz won't move, Liverpool can't fund Isak. Perfect power move." Another joked: 'If Garnacho goes, Diaz stays, and that means no Isak for them." Future Still Uncertain For now, Garnacho remains a Manchester United player. But with his price slashed and several clubs interested, his future could be decided in the coming weeks, making him one of the transfer window's most-watched names. Ruben Amroim warns Chelsea over Alejandro Garnacho transfer
Ruben Amroim has told Alejandro Garnacho that he will remain at Old Trafford if Chelsea do not meet Manchester United's asking price this summer. Amorim made it clear to Garnacho that he has no future at United after he was left out of the squad for their final Premier League game last season and benched for the Europa League final against Spurs in May. Garnacho hit out at Amorim after he was dropped for the Europa League final defeat to Spurs in Bilbao and indicated that his future at United is in doubt. The Argentina international had attracted interest from both Chelsea and Napoli in the January transfer window but were unwilling to meet United's £70 million asking price. Chelsea have retained their interest this summer and reports this week have claimed that United have now dropped Garnacho's valuation to £40m. Garnacho, who is keen to remain in the Premier League and join a Champions League club, has been omitted from United's pre-season tour squad this month. However, Amorim is adamant that Garnacho will be reintegrated back into United's first team if he fails to secure a move away before the end of the summer transfer window. Asked if United are concerned by the possibility of reducing the value of their unwanted players such as Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Antony by leaving them out of their pre-season tour of the United States, Amorim said on Friday: 'I think that is not the case. 'There are different reasons for the players. Some players have to find a new place to have more space in the team, other players clearly show that they want a new challenge and they want new teams. 'So we are just allowing these players time to think and to decide. 'If they reach a point where they have to join the team they will join the team because they are our players. More Trending 'I know for a fact Omar [Berrada] and Jason [Wilcox] and the club have a number for these players. If they don't reach that they will be Manchester United players, no doubts about that. 'I understand the club are maybe waiting for the last minute but they can have a surprise and I am ready, I am ready to receive the players. 'They have more competition, if they want to play in the World Cup they need to play so I'm really happy with that because I will have more options. 'If they have to fight each other to play for me that is perfect.' For more stories like this, check our sport page. Follow Metro Sport for the latest news on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Bayern Munich make approach sign Man Utd star as Luis Diaz alternative
Bayern Munich have joined the race to sign Manchester United outcast Alejandro Garnacho. The Argentina international is among the stars United are desperate to offload this summer, with Marcus Rashford joining Barcelona on a season-long loan this week. Chelsea and Aston Villa are interested in signing the 21-year-old, whose preference is to remain in the Premier League with Bayer Leverkusen and Napoli also credited with interest. But one of Euripe's elite clubs has now entered the fray. ESPN report Bayern have enquired into a move for Garnacho with the German champions eager to bring in another wide option this summer. United are prepared to listen to any realistic offers for the former Atletico Madrid youngster, having dropped their asking price from £70m to £40m. While Garnacho had hoped to stay in England, interest from Bayern could yet change his mind. Any move will surely hinge on Bayern's interest in signing Luis Diaz from Liverpool, however. Vincent Kompany side saw an opening bid of £56m rejected by the Reds last week but have returned with an improved offer of £59m. Liverpool have insisted throughout the summer that Diaz is not for sale despite the Colombia international being interested in exploring a move away from Merseyside. That could change however given developments over Alexander Isak, with the Sweden international now eager to leave St James' Park. Despite signing Hugo Ekitike this week, Liverpool could test Newcastle's resolve with a British record offer. Garnacho was dropped from the United squad last December but worked his way back into contention with Ruben Amorim praising his determination to adapt to his new system at Old Trafford. More Trending The winger scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists last term but was left out of the United starting XI against Tottenham at the end of May with Mason Mount selected ahead of him. 'Until we reached the final, I played every round. And I played 20 minutes today – I don't know,' Garnacho said. 'I'm going to try to enjoy the summer and see what happens next.' Amorim aimed a dig of his own back at the player, reminding him of the big chances he was guilty of missing earlier in the competition. 'Some players come in, like Mason Mount against Bilbao [in the Europa League semifinal] and changed the game. Who missed the big opportunity in the first half against Bilbao? Yeah [Garnacho].'
