Bedoun Caught Impersonating Cop; Found with Guns and Narcotics
KUWAIT CITY, June 25: Officers from the West Abdullah Al-Mubarak Police Station have referred a Bedoun (stateless individual) to the General Department of Criminal Investigation on suspicion of involvement in a string of robberies by impersonating a security officer. The arrest followed a routine patrol in the West Abdullah Al-Mubarak area, where police noticed a vehicle whose driver appeared visibly anxious upon spotting the patrol. When officers attempted to approach, the suspect fled at high speed, prompting a pursuit. Backup was called, and the vehicle was eventually cornered and brought to a stop. Upon inspection, authorities discovered a cache of suspicious items inside the car, including a Kalashnikov rifle, a pistol, two walkie-talkies, four mobile phones, a bag containing the crystal meth drugs, a strip of stimulant pills, drug paraphernalia, and a security badge linked to the Public Security Sector. Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect, born in 1988, is a Bedoun. Given the presence of weapons and official-looking equipment, authorities believe he may have committed robberies by posing as a detective. The suspect will also be referred to the General Department for Drug Control for further questioning regarding possession of narcotics, before being handed over to the Public Prosecution once investigations are complete.
