Texas A&M Coach Jamie Morrison leads Team USA to Gold at U19 NORCECA

Coach Morrison and the United States win the U19 Pan-American Cup ‼️🥇This marks Coach Morrison's fourth straight international title with the U19's 🤯🥇🥇🥇🥇They swept Mexico in the final for the win 👍#GigEm // #AggieVB Texas A&M volleyball coach Jamie Morrison is bringing home some gold after leading the United States Women's U19 National Team to a title at the 2025 North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation Pan American Cup (NORCECA). Morrison has long been a mainstay on the international volleyball stage, having been part of three Olympic medal-winning teams, earning gold with the men's team in 2008, silver with the women's team in 2012, and bronze with the women's team in 2016. In the U19 Pan American bracket, he's become a consistent medal winner over the past three summers. When the lights dimmed at Queens College in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, Morrison secured his fourth straight title. Team USA dropped just one set across 16 matches. Mexico, which the team had swept earlier in the tournament, put up a valiant effort in the final. Still, Morrison's squad completed its fourth sweep of the tournament with a 3-0 win over Mexico (25-21, 25-22, 25-21). Under Morrison's leadership, Texas A&M volleyball has taken a significant leap, reaching the Sweet 16 in just his second season. The program also recently secured a commitment from the top setter in the country, setting the stage for a strong 2025 campaign. We wish the Aggies the best this upcoming season. Texas A&M pole vaulter crowned NCAA Champion in dramatic finish

Texas A&M pole vaulter crowned NCAA Champion in dramatic finish SASHA IS THE POLE VAULT NATIONAL CHAMPION ‼️ HE BROKE HIS OWN SCHOOL RECORD WITH A CLEARANCE OF 5.78M/18-11.5 🤯#GigEm // #AggieTF — Texas A&M Track & Field/Cross Country (@aggietfxc) June 12, 2025 The NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships are in full swing, with several field events wrapping up after Day One at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Texas A&M junior pole vaulter Aleksandr Solovev got things rolling in thrilling fashion, capturing the national title for the first time since 1980. It wasn't easy. The competition came down to his final attempt at 18-11.5 (5.78m), where he edged Kansas junior Ashton Barkdull by just two inches. Solovev saved his best for last. His championship-winning jump was not only his top mark of the season but also broke his own program record. This leap ranks as the fourth-highest winning mark in NCAA championship history, earning the Aggies 10 points on opening day and placing them in a tie for sixth. With momentum on their side, Coach Pat Henry believes his team has a real shot at finishing in the top ten when the meet concludes. Texas A&M is the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA softball tournament for the first time

Texas A&M is the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA softball tournament for the first time We're Hosting! 📍🥎 The overall No. 1 seeded Aggies will take on Saint Francis on Friday at 2:30 PM CT 👍#GigEm — Texas A&M Softball (@AggieSoftball) May 11, 2025 No. 1 Texas A&M (45-9, 16-7 SEC) ended the week with a run-rule blowout 14-2 win over the Texas Longhorns on Friday night during the SEC Tournament semifinal round, just a day after run-ruling South Carolina on Thursday evening. Riding high with plenty of momentum, the Aggies were headed to the SEC Championship game slated for Saturday afternoon. However, after making it to the Championship round against the Oklahoma Sooners, inclement weather in Athens, Georgia led to SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey's decision to abruptly cancel the game, a blow to both fan bases. This was certainly a disappointment for the Aggies, who deserved a shot to win their first conference title in program history. Alas, this was just one step towards a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. On Sunday night, Texas A&M, who finished the regular season ranked No. 1 with 45 wins, including 16 in conference play, all but earned the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, as selection Sunday agreed with the Aggie fan base that these young women, led by head coach Trichia Ford, deserves to be the top seed. To no surprise, Texas A&M is your No. 1 overall team in the NCAA Tournament and will host Saint Francis (26-24) in the Regional Round in Bryan-College Station, starting on Friday, May 16. Game 1 is set for 3:30 p.m. ET., as the Aggies will begin their journey to earn their third National Championship in program history. Here is the Bryan-College Station Regional bracket: No. 1 Texas A&M vs. No. 4 Saint Francis No. 2 Marist (47-7-1) vs. No. 2 Liberty (47-12) Texas A&M vs. Saint Francis on Friday will air on the SEC Network, while Marist vs. Liberty with be available to stream on ESPN+ on Friday, at 1:00 p.m. ET. New Texas A&M HC Bucky McMillan will bring a familiar face to 2025 coaching staff

New Texas A&M HC Bucky McMillan will bring a familiar face to 2025 coaching staff Welcome back to Aggieland, Mitch Cole 👍 Cole served on Billy Kennedy's Texas A&M staff for five seasons from 2011-16 and now joins new head coach, Bucky McMillan! 📰 — Texas A&M Basketball (@aggiembk) April 5, 2025 New Texas A&M basketball head coach Bucky McMillan is beginning to fill out his 2025 coaching staff after being officially hired on Saturday afternoon after five seasons at Samford. After the news was revealed on Friday night, one name that Aggie fans are highly familiar with is accomplished assistant Mitch Cole. Before arrived at Samford to join McMillan's staff at the start of the 2021 season, Cole's college basketball journey included five seasons (2011-2016) at Texas A&M under former head coach Billy Kennedy, helping guide the Aggies to the Sweet 16 during the 2015-2016 season with a roster that included current NBA All-Defensive First Team guard Alex Caruso, who now stars with Oklahoma City. Before joining Kennedy's staff, Cole was a standout Divison III head coach at Birmingham-Southern, winning the NCAA Division III Provisional Tournament championship during his final 2011 season. After a three-year head coaching sting at Berry University, Cole returned to Divison 1 to help McMillan build what would become one of the best teams in the Southern Conference. This is an excellent hire that provides familiarity with and proper execution of McMillan's game plan. This is new regarding several Samford players who have entered the transfer portal, and knowing Cole's excellent recruiting background, the next month should result in more good news for Texas A&M's new basketball era. Aggie fans react to Texas A&M's 12-6 Game 3 win over Elon after sweeping the series

No. 1 Texas A&M (3-0) finished off the 2025 season-opening series vs. Elon, sweeping the Phoenix in Game 3 12-6 after eight innings due to SEC rules for Sunday games. For first-year head coach Michael Earley, getting the season off to an undefeated start is key to evaluating the roster during the rest of nonconference play. Leading the way at the plate, junior outfielder Jace LaViolette hit his third home run of the weekend, giving the Aggies an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Offensively, Texas A&M's improvement on Saturday continued on Sunday, as short-stop Kaeden Kent his third career grand slam, while catcher Jacob Galloway hit his first homer as an Aggie. On the mound, Texas A&M's starting pitcher has been stellar outside of Justin Lamkin's shaky start on Saturday, and in his first career start with the program, Myles Patton shined, allowing four hits and one run with eight strikeouts in five innings. Out of the Bullpen, Ty Baker struggled in his first outing, allowing three runs off three hits, while Blayne Lyne, Peyton Smith, and Brad Rudis finished the game. All in all, going 3-0 to open the season was the goal leading into the first full week of nonconference play.
