Djurgarden boss on Celtic-linked Keita Kosugi speculation
Celtic was reportedly interested in the Japanese defender at the end of last month. With Greg Taylor on the brink of joining Greek team PAOK, Brendan Rodgers needs back-up for the returning Kieran Tierney, and Kosugi could be a potential option. Jani Honkavaara, the manager of the Swedish top-flight side, said [Sportbladet via RecordSport]: "There have been rumours all along. "I hope we can spend some money too." The 19-year-old helped Djurgården reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Conference League last season, where they were ultimately defeated by Chelsea. He has established himself as a regular with Djurgarden, who currently sit ninth in the Allsvenskan, 12 games into the 2025 campaign. Kosugi's move to Sweden was just over a year ago.

Greek side PAOK looked to be among the frontrunners for his signature. But media there claimed earlier this week that talks with the ex-Kilmarnock ace had frozen. And that could now open the door for Copenhagen, who can offer Taylor the prospect of a potential quickfire return to Champions League football. Kenny spent six months on loan at the Hoops during the 2021 season and it was an unsuccessful spell, with Rangers running away with the title and the Englishman failing to impress. Overall, he made 16 appearances in the green and white during what was a massively underwhelming campaign, the only time since 2010 the club haven't finished top of the league. This was despite Kenny have previously had a productive loan with Schalke and it was a return to Germany that helped kickstart his career again. But, with his contract at an end, he will now head to Greece for a new adventure. The 28-year-old could be joined by former Hoops teammate Greg Taylor. The left-back is still weighing up PAOK's offer. He was believed to be close to joining them last week but Danish giants Copenhagen are reportedly trying to hijack that move.
