'Canada Not Your Playground': Kapil Sharma Threatened by Kahlistani Terrorist After Attack on Cafe
Kapil Sharma, one of India's most popular comedians, is facing a terrifying situation. His newly opened Kap's Cafe in Surrey, Canada was attacked just days ago. Now, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the founder of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has issued a direct threat video. Pannun accused Kapil of pushing a 'Hindutva agenda' under the guise of business and warned, 'Canada is not your playground… take your blood money back to Hindustan.' The threat comes after shots were fired at the cafe on July 10. No injuries were reported. This incident ties together Khalistani terror outfits, Babbar Khalsa, and the rising concern over India-Canada tensions post Operation Sindoor. #kapilsharma #pannun #khalistan #khalistanthreat #sfj #khalistanicanada #hindutva #babbarkhalsa #cafeshooting #toi #toibharat #bharat #trending #breakingnews #indianews Read More

'Take Your Blood Money Back...': Pannun Threatens Kapil Sharma After Canada Cafe Attack
Last Updated: Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun issued a threat to Kapil Sharma, accusing him of promoting Hindutva on the pretext of doing business in Canada. Comedian Kapil Sharma's cafe in Canada's British Columbia recently came under attack in what authorities believe was a targeted strike linked to the banned Khalistani terrorist outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). Days after the attack, pro-Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun issued a fresh threat to the comedian. The cafe – named Kap's Cafe – had just celebrated a soft opening, drawing attention for its elegant pink-and-white interior, floral accents and a menu of artisan coffee and desserts. However, shots were fired on the property late Sunday night , although no injuries were reported. In a video message, Pannun – the leader of Khalistani outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) – accused Kapil Sharma of promoting Hindutva on the pretext of doing business in Canada, and the country will not allow such ideas to take shape on its soil. 'Canada is not your playground. Take your blood money back to Hindustan. Canada will not allow violent Hindutva ideology to take root on Canadian soil under the guise of business," he said in his message to Sharma. Pannun also asked if Kap's Cafe was 'just a comedy venue or part of a larger conspiracy to export Hindutva". Notably, the SFJ — banned in India — had released a threatening video warning Kapil Sharma to 'take Hindutva money back to India." Harjit Singh Laddi, a BKI operative designated as a terrorist by India, claimed responsibility for the attack on Kapil Sharma's cafe in a video message. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a Rs 10 lakh reward for information leading to Laddi's arrest, underscoring the gravity of his suspected involvement in cross-border extremist activities. Despite the setback, Kap's Cafe has vowed to remain open and continue its mission of serving as a safe, joyful space for the community. 'We opened Kap's Caffe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up," it said in an Instagram post. This attack follows a growing trend where Khalistani-linked gangs abroad are targeting Indian-origin businesses and figures, especially those who are publicly pro-India or high-profile. These groups have been known to use violence, threats, and extortion as tools to assert ideological dominance and push separatist narratives. view comments First Published: July 12, 2025, 14:28 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Ambedkar's statue ‘vandalised' in Hoshiarpur; SFJ's Pannun booked
A first information report (FIR) was registered against unknown persons after a statue of Dr BR Ambedkar was allegedly found vandalised on Tuesday. The statue was installed on top of a private building in Noorpur Jattan village in Garhshankar sub-division. Pro-Khalistan leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun of the banned outfit 'Sikhs For Justice' (SFJ) has claimed responsibility for the statue vandalism on social media. Village sarpanch Shingara Ram denied any such incident, stating that marks on the statue's hands were old, but Bahujan Samaj Party and Ambedkar Sena of India leaders took a serious note of it and demanded strict action against the accused. BSP leaders have even threatened to start an agitation if the culprits are not arrested within a week. The FIR has been lodged on the complaint of Ambedkar Sena general secretary Kulwant Singh Bhuno who said that he came to know about the vandalism through a video which is circulating on social media. The video shows a hand cutter being used to damage the statue's hand but the sarpanch said that there was no electricity connection in the vicinity. He said he had spoken to the NRI son of the deceased land owner at whose building the statue was installed and he had confirmed that the damage was old. The sarpanch said the panchayat was planning to shift the statue to a Valmiki Temple in Mahilpur. Meanwhile, Hoshiarpur superintendent of police (investigation) Dr Mukesh Kumar said an FIR under sections 298 (injuring or defiling a place of worship) and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered at Mahilpur Police Station against Pannun and some unidentified persons. Garhshankar deputy superintendent of police Jaspreet Singh said that the statue had been cordoned off and the police were examining the video. Garhshankar MLA Jai Kishan Singh Rori also visited the site and condemned the incident. BSP state president Avtar Singh Karimpuri has demanded an inquiry into the matter and said if the culprits were not arrested within a week, his party would hold a protest in Garhshankar.

Bar on visitors at city airport to continue amid heightened vigil
1 2 Bhubaneswar: With the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) extending the red alert at Biju Patnaik International Airport here for seven more days following the recent tensions between India and Pakistan, common visitors will not be allowed to enter the BPIA. Additionally, the activation of BPIA's anti-hijacking cell will remain in force, and a high alert status will be maintained. Earlier, BPIA authorities conducted a comprehensive review of navigational assets to ensure operational security. "Until further notice, the airport will be out of bounds for common visitors in view of the recent tensions. Secondary ladder point check (SLPC) will be in place for some more days. The second layer of security check is carried out in emergency situations and on special occasions," said airport director Prasanna Pradhan. Sources said the last time the airport authorities activated SLPC was following a threat mail from Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. Airport officials said that minutes before passengers board a flight, their bags will be scanned, and they may be frisked, which is not done usually. Normally, after the primary security check by CISF personnel before proceeding to the departure lounge, no further checking is done. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade Bitcoin & Ethereum – No Wallet Needed!
