'Take Your Blood Money Back...': Pannun Threatens Kapil Sharma After Canada Cafe Attack
Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun issued a threat to Kapil Sharma, accusing him of promoting Hindutva on the pretext of doing business in Canada.
Comedian Kapil Sharma's cafe in Canada's British Columbia recently came under attack in what authorities believe was a targeted strike linked to the banned Khalistani terrorist outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). Days after the attack, pro-Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun issued a fresh threat to the comedian.
The cafe – named Kap's Cafe – had just celebrated a soft opening, drawing attention for its elegant pink-and-white interior, floral accents and a menu of artisan coffee and desserts. However, shots were fired on the property late Sunday night , although no injuries were reported.
In a video message, Pannun – the leader of Khalistani outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) – accused Kapil Sharma of promoting Hindutva on the pretext of doing business in Canada, and the country will not allow such ideas to take shape on its soil.
'Canada is not your playground. Take your blood money back to Hindustan. Canada will not allow violent Hindutva ideology to take root on Canadian soil under the guise of business," he said in his message to Sharma.
Pannun also asked if Kap's Cafe was 'just a comedy venue or part of a larger conspiracy to export Hindutva". Notably, the SFJ — banned in India — had released a threatening video warning Kapil Sharma to 'take Hindutva money back to India."
Harjit Singh Laddi, a BKI operative designated as a terrorist by India, claimed responsibility for the attack on Kapil Sharma's cafe in a video message. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a Rs 10 lakh reward for information leading to Laddi's arrest, underscoring the gravity of his suspected involvement in cross-border extremist activities.
Despite the setback, Kap's Cafe has vowed to remain open and continue its mission of serving as a safe, joyful space for the community. 'We opened Kap's Caffe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up," it said in an Instagram post.
This attack follows a growing trend where Khalistani-linked gangs abroad are targeting Indian-origin businesses and figures, especially those who are publicly pro-India or high-profile. These groups have been known to use violence, threats, and extortion as tools to assert ideological dominance and push separatist narratives.

Cops search for inmate who fled Kalamba open jail in Karnataka & Goa
Kolhapur: Police have been unable to locate Suresh Chothe, a 38-year-old resident of Gadhinglaj's Chothewadi, who escaped from the car washing centre operated by the open prison of Kalamba Central Jail on Thursday afternoon. Despite 48 hours of search efforts, the vehicle he used in his escape remains untraced. Police suspect that accomplices assisted in Chothe's getaway. The local crime investigation branch detained Chothe's cousin for providing him with Rs 13,000 upon his arrival in Gadhinglaj on Thursday. The Juna Rajwada police said a search is underway in the border area and Karnataka. They believe Chothe may have altered the car's number plate, suggesting the involvement of accomplices. Juna Rajwada inspector Sanjeev Zade said, "Inquiries are underway with his (Chothe's) relatives and friends. Teams have been deployed in parts of Gadhinglaj in Kolhapur as well as in Karnataka and Goa states to trace Chothe." Meanwhile, authorities at the Kalamba prison confirmed that Chothe was transferred to an open prison due to his good behaviour. It is believed he may have increased his contact with people while working at the car washing centre, leading to a possible conspiracy to escape using the car washing as an excuse.

ACB raids 7 locations linked to Sirohi transport inspector
1 2 3 Jaipur: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Saturday conducted raids at seven locations linked to Sujanaram Choudhary, a transport inspector stationed at the Sirohi district transport office, in a case alleging assets disproportionate to his known sources of income. ACB teams initiated simultaneous searches early morning in Mount Abu, Bhinmal (Jalore), Sirohi, and Jodhpur. ACB officials said a confidential complaint had been received alleging that Choudhary had been accepting bribes for vehicle registration, issuing licences, and other transport services such as inspections and border clearance. The illicit funds were reportedly used to purchase properties worth crores of rupees in his and his family members' names. Following verification by the bureau's intelligence wing, investigators discovered that Choudhary had acquired residential and commercial properties in Mount Abu, Bhinmal, Sirohi, and Jodhpur significantly exceeding his legitimate income. A case was registered estimating assets worth approximately Rs 2.5 crore, which is 201% more than his lawful earnings. During the operation, officials confirmed ownership of at least 14 residential and commercial properties. Notably, an 8,000-square-foot mansion was found, featuring high-end interiors, 21 air conditioners, luxury furniture, expensive refrigerators and televisions, and other premium fittings. Experts are currently assessing its market value. Another lavish house in Jodhpur's posh Ashapurna City, Pal Village area, was also discovered with similar luxury interiors and is being valued by experts. Additionally, officials confirmed the presence of another house and a shop in Jodhpur. The bureau also uncovered that Choudhary had recently purchased another costly bungalow in Mount Abu, where illegal construction was underway. The municipal administration was informed and unauthorised construction materials were seized from the site. Further searches revealed that Choudhary owned multiple plots in Bhinmal, Jalore, and Mount Abu. Evidence of additional investments in the names of his family members has also emerged.
