NRL and NRLW stars Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Jaime Chapman reportedly call time on relationship

It appears a rugby league power couple have called it quits, with Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Jaime Chapman's romance reportedly over after just six months. NRL star Tabuai-Fidow and NRLW powerhouse Chapman delighted Aussie sport fans after going public with their relationship last December, becoming one of the most high-profile celebrity duos in the game. But now there are telling signs that it is all but over between the pair. A quick look at their social media accounts shows some very sad signs. The posts on Chapman's Instagram page, which was once loaded with photos of her and the Dolphin's fullback, have now been deleted. The only posts remaining are of Chapman herself and with teammates, friends and family. In the most telling sign, the Aussie representative no longer follows Tabuai-Fidow. Meanwhile the Dolphins fullback's Instagram still includes two posts with Chapman, but the vast majority have also been wiped. One of the posts that remains is a post from January of the pair holding hands with the caption 'My Love' with a red heart emoji. Tabuai-Fidow still follows Chapman. The Dolphins fullback, also known as 'The Hammer,' has grown in popularity following his move to Redcliffe from the Cowboys in 2023, becoming a key player for the club and guaranteed origin starter. Chapman, who joined the NRLW competition 2021 with the Dragons, later moved to the Broncos and gained a reputations as one of the best players in the league before a move to the Gold Coast Titans. Chapman is also a rep footy mainstay with appearances for the Jillaroos and dominant performances for the NSW Blues women's team this year. Chapman said she would support Tabuai-Fidow across the border when he plays for the Maroons, but it appears she won't be in the stadium when the winger runs out in a do-or-die decider at Accor Stadium in Game 3 next Wednesday. The split would add to an already chaotic year for Chapman who has battled through injury, but also a nightmare AI deepfake scandal. The Gold Coast Titans winger hit out after seeing doctored images of herself swirling around cyberspace, telling her 86,000 Instagram followers it was not the first time images she has shared on social media have been distorted through deepfake AI programs. Her Instagram post showed a high rise photo of a beach and an inset image, believed to be the fake AI image, of herself posing for a mirror selfie in a golden bikini. 'Have a good day to everyone except those who make fake ai photos of other people,' she posted. She also wrote: 'Next time think of how damaging this can be to someone and their loved ones. 'This has happened a few times now and it needs to stop.' Chapman's season is set to start with Round 1 of the NRLW season kicking off this week while Tabuai-Fidow will be in Maroons camp preparing for the State of Origin decider.

Woman reveals the moment a kick from one of the NRL's biggest stars accidentally left her with a bloodied nose

A woman has revealed footage of the dramatic moment she was accidentally struck in the face by a ball kicked by NRL star Latrell Mitchell over the weekend. The incident occurred during South Sydney's match against the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday, which saw the Fins storm home to win 50-28. Mackensie Woollett, 20, was barracking in the crowd with her friends and decided to take out her phone and film the fullback kicking for touch. Unfortunately for the footy fan, the ball struck her square in the face, leaving her very 'embarrassed' with a bloodied nose. The video clip was later posted to social media with the caption: 'POV: You're getting a video of the game, and about to cop a falcon.' Ms Woollett explained in the comments that she wasn't badly hurt during the incident. 'Guys I am okay,' she posted. 'Bit of blood but all was okay. Latrell gave me his kicking tee and apologised. This is so embarrassing. I can catch I promise.' One cheeky fan responded that it would help if she caught the ball with her hands instead of her face. Ms Woollett replied: 'I was looking through my camera like omg the quality is so good - such a good video and I didn't see the ball through the phone and next thing I'm p**sing out blood'. The fan's painful injury came as Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow delivered a fullback masterclass with a four-try haul in the big win. The No.1 ran amok in his 100th NRL game as the Dolphins reached 50 points for the third time in four games and consigned the Rabbitohs to a fifth straight loss. Halfback Isaiya Katoa had four try assists, while Tabuai-Fidow's display was timely on the day incumbent Queensland fullback Kalyn Ponga was ruled out of next Wednesday's State of Origin decider with a foot injury. Tabuai-Fidow played wing in the Maroons' series-levelling victory but, after 11 tries in nine Origin games on the flanks, has done all he can to show coach Billy Slater he's ready to wear the No.1. 'I know he'd do a great job,' Dolphins coach Kristian Woolf said of his man potentially wearing the Queensland No.1. 'But that wouldn''t have been his motivation tonight; he's just such a genuine guy I think he wasn't really happy with himself last week (in a loss to Newcastle). 'I could tell he wanted to make amends for that. Playing 100 games, coming off a loss, playing in front of his family - that's what he'd be concerned about.'

NRL fans all say same thing as Reece Walsh suffers massive State of Origin blow

Reece Walsh suffered a Hammer blow on Saturday night as Hamiso-Tabuai Fidow scored four tries for the Dolphins and declared he wants to wear the No.1 jersey for Queensland in State of Origin 3. Maroons coach Billy Slater faces a tricky decision for the decider, with Kalyn Ponga ruled out with a foot injury. Walsh was Queensland fullback in 2023 and 2024, but many have called for Tabuai-Fidow to be given the nod to replace Ponga. Slater has the option of shifting Tabuai-Fidow to the back and bringing in a new winger - most likely Murray Taulagi from the Cowboys. In his final audition for the Origin role on Saturday, Walsh would have impressed Slater with a try assist, four tackle-breaks and 126 running metres in the Broncos' win over the Warriors. But Tabuai-Fidow blew him out of the water with a stunning four-try masterpiece as the Dolphins thrashed South Sydney. The Hammer had a whopping 22 runs for 263 metres, breaking seven tackles and crossing the line four times. Many believe he's Queensland's best fullback option (even when Ponga is fit) and he made himself the No.1 option with his performance on Saturday night. Tabuai-Fidow has scored 11 tries in nine games for Queensland, but has only ever played centre or wing in State of Origin. He was brilliant in Game 1 of last year's series when he moved to fullback after Walsh was concussed. Speaking after Saturday night's game, the Hammer declared he wants the No.1 jersey for Origin 3. "To have that No.1 on my back, would be super special for me," he said. "You think about the players that have worn that No.1 jersey (before me) and given it all. It's a bit of chop and change (after playing centre and wing already this series) but I'm comfortable with it. It's my preferred (position) and a good opportunity for me after playing fullback at club-land week in, week out." Walsh is hoping to add to his five State of Origin appearances for Queensland, and got the backing of his Broncos teammates and coach on Saturday. The 22-year-old is still sporting some heavy strapping on his knee after a six-week layoff recently, but Pat Carrigan reckons he's all good. "His knee looked good, he's done the work, ready to go and there's an opportunity," Carrigan said. "He's growing. He's still only 22 or whatever but he's playing tough for us and we're really appreciating what he's doing. He does what he does and they try to nail him every week so I know he'll be up for it." Broncos and NSW player Payne Haas said: "One hundred per cent (Walsh should be picked). He can do a job for them and he should be there." RELATED: Cobbo twist as Dolphins player makes immediate move to Roosters Stunning development for Billy Slater and family before Origin 3 While Brisbane captain Adam Reynolds declared: "I'm a Blue next Wednesday but I'd love to see him in that arena. He belongs in that arena. It certainly would give the Blues a few headaches and things to think about." On social media, fans weren't as convinced about Walsh. The general consensus is Tabuai-Fidow might get the nod, and a poll of over 12,000 Yahoo readers has the Hammer as the overwhelming preferred option. Just as Walsh got the jersey, Hammer just snatched it off him.
