JJ Hospital's special facility work delayed
Mumbai: Medical education minister Hasan Mushriff admitted that work on the construction of a new super speciality facility at JJ Hospital campus was delayed and the contractor had been penalised for not completing the work during the stipulated time.
"Currently, the work is being completed urgently in coordination with the contractor and the Public Works Department," Mushriff said. The new building of the hospital will accommodate another 1,200 beds in addition to the existing 1,200 ones and the project cost is around Rs 700 crore. — Chaitanya Marpakwar
