During the visit, the officials inspected fire force teams assigned to safeguard these venues, checking on their preparedness, adherence to safety protocols and fire prevention measures. Al-Roumi praised the significant efforts of firefighters and their cooperation with security and volunteer agencies, stressing the importance of coordination among all relevant authorities to ensure a safe and secure environment. The tour included participation from senior leadership of the Kuwait Fire Force as well as officials from the ministry of interior and Kuwait National Guard. Discussions emphasized the need for joint coordination and field readiness to maintain the highest levels of safety for attendees of the mourning gatherings. Lt Gen Al-Rifai also inspected the 'Salem' task force of the National Guard, which is responsible for securing the outer perimeter of mourning venues during Muharram in cooperation with the ministry of interior. According to a statement from the National Guard, Al-Rifai conveyed greetings and appreciation from the Chief of the National Guard Sheikh Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah and Deputy Chief Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah, recognizing the unit's vital role in supporting their counterparts in the interior ministry. KUWAIT: Lieutenant General Hashem Al-Rifai, Undersecretary of the Kuwait National Guard, conducted a field inspection on Wednesday of key logistical and medical facilities, underscoring the guard's state of readiness amid heightened regional tensions stemming from the ongoing war between the Zionist entity and Iran. Al-Rifai was accompanied by Assistant Undersecretary for Operations and Training, Major General Dr Faleh Shujaa, during the visit to Tahrir Camp, where they were received by Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Support, Major General Engineer Issam Nayef, along with senior officers and commanders. In a statement issued by the National Guard, Al-Rifai inspected the Medical Services Directorate, including the specialty clinics complex, medical warehouses, and the central pharmacy, as well as the Logistics and Transport Branch, where he reviewed the National Guard's strategic stockpiles of essential supplies. During the tour, the delegation reviewed the 'Smart Ambulance' system, where medical teams demonstrated the vehicle's advanced diagnostic tools and real-time data logging capabilities. The system enables ambulance teams to record patient information instantly using smart devices, aimed at improving emergency response speed and accuracy. Al-Rifai praised the innovation as a strategic step forward: 'The Smart Ambulance system is a strategic initiative and the result of ongoing efforts to integrate advanced technology and innovation in protecting the personnel of the National Guard and ensuring their safety.' He also commended the guard's high level of preparedness and its critical role in defense, national security, and inter-agency support. Al-Rifai concluded by affirming the unwavering support of the National Guard leadership, represented by His Highness Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Chief of the National Guard, and His Highness Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the National Guard. KUWAIT: The Kuwait National Guard on Tuesday celebrated the graduation of a new class of officer cadets, including medical officers, medical support officers, biomedical engineering officers, field officers holding university degrees, graduates of King Khalid Military College, and warrant officer cadets promoted to second lieutenant. Lieutenant General Hashem Al-Rifai hands one of the graduating cadets a plaque. In a press statement, the National Guard said the ceremony took place at the Martyrs' Hall in Al-Sumoud Camp, under the patronage of the Chief of the National Guard, Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and in the presence of National Guard Undersecretary, Lieutenant General Hashem Al-Rifai. During the ceremony, the newly commissioned officers took an oath to defend the homeland and to sacrifice everything in its service.
