Hennessey Demon 1700: Twin-Turbo, 1,700 HP, 7.9s Quarter-Mile

The Dodge Demon 170 is already one of the most ludicrous muscle cars ever made. With 1,025 hp sent to the rear wheels through a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 Hemi, it rockets through the quarter-mile in just 8.91 seconds — quicker than most hypercars. That should have been the end of the story. But Hennessey, the Texas tuner known for modified Mustangs, Camaros, and the Venom F5, has done something unimaginable. It's called the Hennessey Demon 1700. Twin-Turbocharged Sacrilege For The Benefit Of Power Source: Hennessey Performance Muscle cars are supposed to have humongous, gas-guzzling naturally aspirated V8 engines, with a high-performance oddball flaunting a supercharger. However, Hennessey just broke the unspoken rule. They ditched the Demon's supercharger in favor of a set of turbochargers, much like Chevy did with the ZR1. Usually, this would result in outrage. A turbocharged muscle car? A modern Dodge muscle car without a whine? That's like microwaving a steak. But when your name is Hennessey, you can get away with pretty much anything. After bumping its displacement from 6.2 to 7.2 liters and adding two turbochargers, the V8 generates a staggering 1,700 hp and about 1,400 lb-ft of torque on E85, as you can see on the video below. Down The Quarter-Mile Source: Hennessey Performance When you mash the accelerator pedal in the standard 1,025-hp Demon 170 from a standstill, you're met with clouds of smoke, the smell of rubber, and a 0 to 60 mph time of 1.66 seconds. The quarter-mile is said to arrive in a brisk 8.91 seconds, but Hennessey claims the 1,700-hp Demon 170 will do it in 7.9 seconds, making it the fastest car down the drag strip in the world. That title is currently held by the McMurtry Speirling, with the electric fan car clocking a time of 7.97 seconds. The Future Of The Hennessey Twin-Turbo V8 Source: Hennessey Performance During this dyno test, Ram's CEO, Tim Kuniskis, can be spotted in sheer disbelief. While this doesn't necessarily confirm anything, it gives petrolheads hope that this monstrous V8 might stumble its way into a RAM truck, or perhaps even save the brand-new Dodge Charger from remaining a laughing stock. One thing is certain, though: there's more than enough reason to celebrate Hennessey's Frankenstein creation, and we're on the edge of our seats waiting to see what's coming next. Hennessey's 1,000-hp Escalade-V Is Big, Loud, and Back for 2025

From 682 to 1,005 Horsepower: Hennessey Unleashes the H1000 Cadillac has given the Escalade a mid-cycle refresh this year, endowing the fifth-generation model and flagship SUV with a new face at the top of the luxury marque's range. The facelifted models include the V-Series variant, the Escalade-V, which comes with GM's already potent 6.2-liter supercharged V8, combining outstanding power output with premium comfort. But if 682 horsepower isn't enough, Hennessey Performance has brought back the wilder version of its high-horsepower Cadillac Escalade-V. Building on the foundation of its previous Escalade-V tune, the Texas-based tuner has unleashed a refreshed package for the 2025 model year, giving GM's flagship SUV a monstrous 1,005 horsepower and 882 lb-ft of torque. Source: Hennessey Supercharged Mods, Ported Heads, and Red Valve Covers Dubbed the H1000, this second-generation upgrade jacks up the power and transforms the Escalade-V into a proper hyper-luxury missile, with the 6.2-liter V8 as the starting point. But thanks to a raft of upgrades – including a high-flow supercharger system, ported cylinder heads, a custom camshaft, and a complete fuel and induction system overhaul – Hennessey has pushed the big SUV firmly into four-digit territory. The list of hardware mods reads like a drag-strip cheat sheet: upgraded throttle body, upper and lower pulleys for more boost, high-flow catalytic converters, long-tube headers, an oversized heat exchanger, and anodized red valvetrain covers for some under-hood flair. Even lifters, push rods, valve springs, and valves have been replaced to handle the increased stress. As with all Hennessey creations, every upgrade is backed by professional installation, HPE engine calibration, and up to 500 miles of road testing per vehicle. The Most Unhinged Full-Size Luxury SUV On Sale Today Performance development is handled entirely in-house at Hennessey's Sealy, Texas facility, including dyno tuning and real-world evaluation at the Pennzoil Proving Ground. Every Escalade-V that leaves Hennessey's shop is put through its paces and gets a serial-numbered engine bay plaque, a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty, and the necessary badging Despite the outrageous performance, Hennessey insists the full suite of factory drive modes remains intact, keeping the Escalade-V as usable as it is fast. That means you can still float through town in plush comfort, or demolish unsuspecting sports cars at highway speeds. Pricing hasn't been disclosed, but it never is cheap when it comes to more oomph from the American tuner. This isn't Hennessey's first Escalade-V rodeo, but the 2025 facelift gives the tuner a fresh canvas and new opportunities to push the envelope. And with over 1,000 horsepower on tap, this might just be the most unhinged full-size luxury SUV on sale today. Source: Hennessey About the Author Jacob Oliva View Profile

Unleashing a Legend: 2013 Camaro ZL1 Hennessey 750 Convertible Roars With Rare Power and Drop-Top Style

⚡️ Read the full article on Motorious A rare and barely driven 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Convertible modified by renowned tuner Hennessey Performance is turning heads on the collector market with just 7,436 miles on the odometer—and a staggering 708 horsepower under the hood. Starting life as a factory ZL1 with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8, this Victory Red convertible was transformed into an HPE750 by the Texas-based performance powerhouse, Hennessey. The upgrade, which reportedly cost around $25,000, brought extensive modifications including a new camshaft, ported heads, custom pulleys, and an upgraded heat exchanger. The result is a dyno-verified output of 708 hp—up from the factory-rated 580 hp. Performance isn't the only standout. This Camaro wears aggressive styling cues, from carbon fiber hood vents to blacked-out trim, custom badging, and staggered 20-inch wheels wrapped in sticky rubber. The cabin complements the bold exterior with Alcantara-trimmed sport seats featuring red stitching and Hennessey embroidery, along with a touchscreen infotainment system and retro-inspired auxiliary gauges. Shifting duties are handled by a TR6060 six-speed manual transmission, sending power to a 3.73-geared limited-slip rear end. Beneath the surface, a strut tower brace, stainless headers, and upgraded exhaust system refine both handling and soundtrack. Braking is managed by Brembo-supplied power discs at all four corners. Originally built for straight-line muscle, this version shows that open-air performance and track-capable dynamics can coexist. Despite its ferocity, the car remains in near-showroom condition, making it a standout example of modern American muscle. With the ZL1 Hennessey 750 Convertible, Chevrolet and Hennessey prove that even in a world leaning toward electric performance, there's still plenty of thunder left in the old-school V8—and room for the wind in your hair while you're at it. Hennessey Reveals The Super Venom Mustang

Read the full story on Backfire News Texas tuning shop Hennessey has a reputation for pushing the envelope, and the newly revealed Super Venom Mustang follows that tradition faithfully. As the company says, this 'ultimate Hennessey Mustang' gives the best in power, aerodynamics, even looks for a vehicle which will impress many. Prominently featured on the car is a completely new, bespoke VenomAero kit made of carbon fiber. Not only do the components improve handling at speed, they're designed to enhance cooling. Among the additions is a duck bill integrated into the rear deck lid and a tall fixed rear wing, which might seem excessive to some. While the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 has been played with successfully by many, it's still impressive to see Hennessey has boosted the one for the Super Venom from 500-bhp to 850-bhp, a 70 percent increase in power. Torque has been dialed up 55 percent to 650 lb.-ft. at 4,900 rpm. According to Hennessey, the Super Venom can do 0 to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds, blowing away the Dark Horse, which does it in 3.7 seconds. It's also a ten-second car, running the quarter mile in 10.9 seconds at 133 mph versus the Dark Horse logging 12 seconds at 118.4 mph. With those performance specs, the Super Venom should really move. But if you want one, you'll have to be similarly fast. Hennessey says it's only make 91 units total. That number wasn't just pulled out of thin air but instead represents the company's founding in 1991. If you want one, you have to order a Super Venom through an authorized Hennessey Ford dealer. We don't expect these to last long, even with GT models priced at $149,950 and Dark Horse models going for $163,950. Buyers can add one of three bespoke liveries to their Super Venom in black, silver, or red. Founder and CEO of Hennessey Performance, John Hennessey, expressed excitement about this latest model. 'Over the years we have only branded our most potent cars with our 'Venom' trademark: Venom Vipers, Venom GT and most recently our Venom F5. We are excited to unveil our SUPER VENOM Mustang as it offers supercar performance and can now be ordered directly from Ford dealers with a full warranty! Further, we are excited to commemorate our company's founding in 1991 by offering only 91 units and a unique '91 Icon' livery.' Images via Hennessey Performance
