India Process Expo & Conference and Eco Sustain Expo, in Hyderabad from from August 22–24
Hyderabad, July 15 (UNI) Hitex, Hyderabad's premier exhibition centre, hosted two insightful panel discussions on Bio-Energy and Industrial Waste Management here today as a curtain-raiser to two major industrial expos scheduled next month. These panel discussions were held in anticipation of the India Process Expo & Conference (IPEC) and the Eco Sustain Expo, both set to take place at Hitex here from August 22–24. Speaking after unveiling a poster highlighting these upcoming expos here, , Mr. TG Srikanth, Business Head, Hitex, said, "The India Process Expo & Conference and Eco Sustain Expo provide an excellent platform to showcase innovations in manufacturing and sustainable technologies. These events encourage knowledge exchange, collaboration, and business growth for industries and solution providers alike." The Eco Sustain Expo is dedicated to promoting sustainable manufacturing practices and eco-friendly technologies, aligning with the global shift towards greener industry standards. The two panel discussions — 'Energising Change: New Wave in Bio-Energy', and 'Industrial Issues and Solutions: Managing Waste' — were moderated by Mr. Srinivas Kasulla, Director, Arka Brenstech. Mr. Kasulla emphasised the rising importance of bioenergy, stating, "Bioenergy is gaining global momentum due to its potential to reduce fossil fuel dependence and mitigate climate change. We are seeing increasing investments in biomass power, biogas, and advanced biofuels, particularly in the transport sector." He also highlighted emerging trends such as Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS), a technology with the potential to deliver net-negative emissions. In the session on industrial waste management, panellists discussed pressing challenges including high waste volume, hazardous material handling, infrastructure gaps, and regulatory bottlenecks. However, they also pointed out significant opportunities in areas like waste-to-energy, smart recycling, AI-driven waste tracking, and circular economy models that can turn waste into wealth. Gaddar Film Jury award to Jendaguda resident
Asifabad: TheTelangana Gaddar Film Award has been awarded to senior journalist Masade Lakshmi Narayana, a resident of Jendaguda in Kumrambheem Asifabad district. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka received the jury award from Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy at the award presentation ceremony held at Hitex in Hyderabad recently. Narayana, the eldest son of Masade Bapu and Lakshmi, has been working as a journalist in Hyderabad for more than twenty years. Lakshmi Narayana, who started his career as a Hyderabad reporter in Andhra Bhoomi, later worked in 'Zee' News Hyderabad and Delhi. From the level of reporter, he rose to the level of input editor. He worked in all fields of media like crime, general, political, cinema. He served as the General Secretary of the Film Critics Association. He also served as the founder president of the Telangana Film Journalists Association. He won the election as a director of The Journalist Cooperative Housing Society, which was started in 1960 for the welfare of journalists working in Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion, Lakshmi Narayana thanked Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman Dil Raju, and 2024 Jury Chairman Jayasudha for the award.

Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2025: Allu Arjun, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Nag Ashwin and more honoured
The winners of the inaugural edition of the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards were presented with the trophies at a star-studded ceremony at Hitex in Hyderabad on Saturday (June 14). Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy felicitated the event, which was also attended by the state's deputy chief minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, cinematography minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and Film Development Corporation chairman Dil Raju. Gaddar Foundation chairman and Gaddar's son Suryakiran and TGFDC MD S Harish were also present at the event. The chief guests presented the winners with a cash prize of ₹5 lakhs and a citation. The evening saw Reddy and Vikramarka present the Paidi Jairaj Film Award (Indian Film Personality) to veteran director Mani Ratnam. Meanwhile, superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna received the NTR National Film Award, while director Sukumar received the BN Reddy Film Award. The Kantha Rao Film Award was presented to actor Vijay Devarakonda, and film writer Yandamuri Veerendranath was awarded the Raghupathi Venkaiah Film Award. Veteran actor and jury chairman M Muralimohan and members of the jury, including jury head, veteran actor Jayasudha, were felicitated as well. The designer of the TGFA, Ramavath Nagula Naik, and film critic Ponnam Ravichandra were also honoured. As a major highlight of the evening, Pushpa star Allu Arjun received the Best Leading Actor award from Chief Minister Reddy, to thunderous applause from the audience. Meanwhile, Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, won the Best Feature Film award. The second and third best feature film awards were bagged by Pottel, directed by Sahit Mothkuri, and Lucky Baskhar, directed by Venky Atluri. Ashwin also took home the Best Director award for Kalki 2898 AD, while Nivetha Thomas was awarded Best Leading Actress for her role in 35 Chinna Katha Kadu. Notably, the Telangana government revived the Telugu film awards this year in honour of revolutionary balladeer Gaddar. The Gaddar Telangana Film Awards marked the first time a ceremony was held in the state to felicitate the film industry since its formation in 2014. Gaddar Film Awards ceremony set to take place today at Hitex
