The film will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, opening it up to a broader South Indian audience. A story of siblings, survival, and skill 'Thammudu' follows Jai, played by Nithiin , a gifted archer separated from his sister Jhansi in childhood. Years later, Jhansi, now a principled government officer, refuses to sign a falsified report about a chemical factory explosion in Vizag. Her moral stand turns her into a target of powerful and corrupt forces. As her world begins to crumble, Jai reenters her life. The hero is determined to protect her and her family using not just courage, but also the precision of his bow. Even with an intriguing plot, the movie had received mostly mixed reviews from the audiences. Thammudu - Official Trailer A packed cast and a new turn for familiar faces Directed and written by Venu Sriram, 'Thammudu' marks his first collaboration with Nithiin. The film also brings actress Laya back to Telugu screens, years after her brief appearance in Amar Akbar Anthony. The supporting cast includes Sapthami Gowda, Varsha Bollamma, Saurabh Sachdeva, Swasika, and Hari Teja, among others. B. Ajaneesh Loknath's music received decent responses from the viewers. Thammudu had all the ingredients for a stirring emotional-action drama, but in trying too hard to be everything, it ends up being less than the sum of its parts. As reported by the Sacnilk website, with an estimated Rs 10.91 crore earned on its first Sunday. The film gained a notable upward momentum after a sharp Friday dip. From its Wednesday premiere to the weekend, the period action-drama saw fluctuations in its daily figures, yet sustained enough audience interest to build a solid five-day total of Rs 75.56 crore net. Mixed trends through opening days Reportedly, the Telugu-language historical drama opened with Rs 12.75 crore on its premiere day, before delivering a massive Rs 34.75 crore haul on Thursday, its official Day 1. However, Friday saw a sharp drop to Rs 8 crore, which was majorly due to negative reviews for the Pawan Kalyan starrer. According to the sources, Saturday brought a modest recovery with Rs 9.15 crore, and Sunday further jumped to Rs 10.91 crore in all in Telugu. This gave the makers reason to breathe easy heading into the week. Monday's collection is still pending, but all eyes are now on the weekday hold to see if the film's momentum can continue. Mahesh Babu honours late Telugu producer Narayan Das Narang, calls him a ‘visionary' in emotional post
On the birth anniversary of veteran Telugu producer Narayan Das Narang, actor Mahesh Babu penned a heartfelt tribute in his fond memory. Remembering a Telugu cinema visionary Taking to Instagram Story, Mahesh Babu posted a priceless picture with Narayan Das Narang. "Remembering the visionary Narayan Das Narang Garu on his birth anniversary. Always in our hearts, forever in our prayers," he wrote. Narayan Das Narang passed away in 2022. He began his career as financier in the 1980s, and successfully financed over 600 films including Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi 's 'Love Story' and Naga Shaurya's 'Lakshya'. At the time of his demise, several members of the film industry paid tributes to Narayan Das Narang. Namrata Shirodkar 's fond memories "I have fond memories of Uncle... A true visionary whom I learnt so much from. Today is a very sad day for all of us at AMB Cinemas. Thank you #NarayanDas uncle for your guidance and support through the years. We will miss you. Love, light, and prayers to his family and loved ones," Namrata Shirodkar had posted. Ravi Teja wrote, "Deeply saddened by the sudden demise of shri. #NarayanDasNarang Ji. He was truly a warm and affable personality who made a noteworthy contribution to Telugu cinema with his extreme efforts. My deepest condolences to the entire family . Rest in peace sir (sic)." Narayan Das Narang was 76 when he breathed his last.
