Anupam revealed that he had worked as a massage therapist for two months before this revelation. Pankaj Tripathi, who came after Anurag Basu, said that he was a former hotel chef and that he is also capable of cooking. Then, Anupam Kher revealed that he had previously provided massages. The actor told his story after everyone had chuckled at this revelation. Anupam recalled, "After I finished my course at the National School of Drama, all my formal education from first standard to third ended." The actor then recalled that he had seen a hotel's advertisement for a massage course. "Maine 3 mahine ka massage ka course kiya," Anupam continued. He even gave massages to people for 2 months after the course. Anupam Kher recalled a hilarious anecdote while shooting for Hum, he said, "Hum ki shooting mein, Amit ji aur sab log baithe the. Toh main sabki massage kar rha tha. Sabki Danyy vagera ki kari. Toh jab main Shilpa Shirodkar ki mother ki massage karne laga uss samay light chali gayi. Aur tab, Shilpa Ji ki mother kar rahi thi 'Oh Anupam!." Hearing this left everyone in splits. Amitabh Bachchan then made fun of him, according to Anupam. He said, "Toh Amit Ji zor se bole, 'Bhaiya light jaldi lekar aao'." Anupam was teased by Kapil for this hilarious revelation.

'During the shoot, Amit ji and others were sitting around, and I was giving massages to everyone — I even gave one to Danny [Denzongpa],' he said. He then recalled, 'When I started massaging Shilpa Shirodkar's mother, the electricity suddenly went out. Shilpa ji's mother was saying, 'Oh Anupam!' in a dramatic tone.' Amitabh Bachchan couldn't resist poking fun at the situation. 'Amit ji shouted loudly, 'Bhaiya, light jaldi le aao!' (Brother, bring the electricity quickly!),' Kher recounted with a laugh. Anupam Kher didn't end up becoming an actor in films right after graduating from the National School of Drama in Delhi in 1978. Interestingly, he completed a three-month massage course, gave professional massages for a short while, and eventually, even provided his services to his co-stars on film sets. 'I'd completed my formal education. I was sitting in the Bengali Market (in Delhi) not knowing what to do. Then I saw an ad in the newspaper of a massage course at the Oberoi Hotel. I did a three-month massage course and then gave massages for two months,' revealed Kher. On the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show season 3 on Netflix, Anupam Kher recalled giving massages to his co-stars between takes on the sets of Mukul Anand's 1991 crime action drama Hum. 'Right after giving massage to Danny (Denzongpa) and others, when I began doing the massage of Shilpa Shirodkar's mother, there was an electricity cut,' said Kher. 'Shilpa's mom kept saying, 'Oh, Anupam!' so Amitabh said, 'Bhaiya, light jaldi le kar aao (Please get the lights back on quickly),' recalled Kher, laughing, revealing how Bachchan was embarrassed by the sounds Shirodkar's mother was making then. Host Kapil Sharma even joked that the Saaransh actor was giving massage to others only so he could get to Shirodkar's mother. Kher denied that and jokingly warned Sharma to not suggest the same. Because at the end of the day, she gave me what no one gave me. She believed in me when nobody else did. And for that, I will always be grateful. She has the right to say whatever she wants to about me till the end of my career.' The actor also addressed his wife Gautami's cryptic post, calling it a playful banter. Gautami had seemingly responded by taking a dig at Ekta's comments about Ram's weight loss. In the interview, Ram said, 'My wife knows where I stand. It was all in good cannot forget what someone has done for you.' The rift started when Ram suggested in an interview that Ekta had to deal with the aftermath of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain's romantic scenes. In another apparent jibe at Ram's physical transformation, Ekta posted a video joking about weight loss and body image, referencing the show title: 'Hum bade hi acche lagte hain'.
