Hollyoaks real-life couple 'suddenly split' after two years together

Hollyoaks actress, Jemma Donovan, whose dad is Neighbours star, Jason Donovan, has reportedly split with I'm A Me Out Of Here! star, Owen Warner Hollyoaks stars, Jemma Donovan and Owen Warner have reportedly called it a day after two years together. Jemma, 25, whose dad is Neighbours legend, Jason Donovan, met Owen, 26, while working on the Channel 4 soap and often posted snaps of the pair on Instagram. However, it's now been reported that the couple, who enjoyed a holiday with Especially For You star, Jason last year, have suddenly broken up, with a source sensationally claiming "they are not friends". It comes as Jemma failed to mention Owen's birthday last month on Instagram and he snubbed her recent gig with Take That star, Gary Barlow. ‌ ‌ Claiming the split has "upset" the couple's close ones, a source told The Sun: 'It's over and they're no longer friends. It was very sudden - everyone was so upset for them.' Jemma joined Hollyoaks in October 2022, with her character Rayne Royce beginning a relationship with Owen's Romeo Nightingale. The pair went public in real-life the following June, much to their fans' delight. The lovebirds looked very loved-up when they rocked up at the National Soap Awards as Owen captioned a snap of himself with his arm around Jemma's waist: "Red carpet with this rocket." The soap heartthrob also sparked romance rumours in March when Jemma shared a snap of the couple cuddling on her 23rd birthday. Despite their on and off-screen love story, the couple were rumoured to have split in 2023. However, Owen sassily rebuffed the claims, taking to Instagram, saying: "I just wanted to come on here and address that me and Jemma have broken up. She's devastated, she's heartbroken. 'She can't console herself, can you,' as he panned the camera to Jemma. Jemma, pulling a mock sad face, then mused: 'He broke up with me too" before insisting: 'We're better than ever.' ‌ The actress' character Rayne was murdered in a high-profile storyline in 2023 on Hollyoaks with Owen's Romeo being revealed as her killer shortly before his own exit. In the past, model-turned actor, Owen, has dated a string of famous ladies, including former Hollyoaks co-star, Stephanie Davis, Love Island star Lana Jenkins and Geordie Shore 's Chloe Ferry. When Lana appeared on Love Island two years ago, the actor admitted to the Mirror he wouldn't watch the season as it felt a "bit weird". He said: "She's a lovely girl and people will love her, but I'm not going to be watching. "I feel like watching your ex move on to other people is a bit weird." The Mirror has contacted reps for Owen and Jemma on this story.

Adam Thomas sends Emmerdale fans wild as he announces 'I'm back!' and shares pic from ITV set

Adam Thomas sent Emmerdale fans wild after he shared a photograph from the ITV set. The soap star featured on the show as lovable farmboy Adam Barton from 2009 to 2018 and soon became a fan-favourite. His character left Emmerdale when he went on the run after confessing to the murder of his wife Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney), to protect his mother Moira (Natalie Robb) from prison. The actor has appeared on other shows including I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, where he finished third place behind Joel Dommett and Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt in 2016. However, Adam posted a picture on social media on Friday and caused a frenzy among fans. The star shared an image of him smiling next to an Emmerdale road sign on Instagram with the caption: 'I'm BACK!!!!' The post received thousands of likes and fans rushed to comment: 'Omg this is amazing, just need Kelvin Fletcher and we are sorted x.'; 'SCREAMING! This better be fr [for real].'; 'The boy is back! Robert, Aaron and Adam. I can't wait!!'; 'I really hope this is true as you were my favorite Barton ever!!!!!!!'; 'I hope this means your back for good.'; 'Is this true? Please be true.' When Adam's departure was announced back in 2017, he said: 'I've had an amazing eight years working on Emmerdale and I've loved every minute of it. 'It was a really tough decision to take to leave but I felt that now is the time to move on and challenge myself with some new roles. His character left Emmerdale when he went on the run after confessing to the murder of his wife Emma Barton (Gillian Kearney), to protect his mother Moira (Natalie Robb) from prison 'I'd like to thank everyone at Emmerdale for both giving me the opportunity to work as part of such a great team and for giving my character Adam Barton some great storylines too.' Meanwhile series Producer Iain MacLeod said: 'Everyone will be really gutted to see Adam go! He's a top bloke and a really talented actor. 'But he's given us a lot of notice, so we've been able to prepare a huge exit story for him. 'I'm really excited to see it play out on screen - however sad it will be to wave goodbye to such a brilliant character and cast member.' Adam's social media post comes after he issued an update on his struggle with arthritis, telling his followers 'my life has completely changed'. The former Emmerdale star was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis - a long-term condition that causes pain, swelling and stiffness in joints and is incurable - before his time on Strictly Come Dancing in 2023. Adam has kept his followers updated on his struggles since, heartbreakingly admitting in late 2024 that he was left 'barely able to walk' due to the severity of the pain. The actor had previously revealed that he had been in pain every single day for two years after also being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. But in a life-changing update earlier this month, the Waterloo Road star told his followers he is at last pain-free thanks to a miraculous biologic injection. Looking in great spirits, Adam captioned a selfie of himself: 'These last few weeks… my life completely changed! 'As some of you know, I've been battling psoriatic arthritis for the past 3 years and it's been tough, Constant pain, constant struggle. But today I can say something I honestly never thought I would… I'm pain free!! 'Not a bit better, not improving but ZERO pain! None. For the first time in YEARS. 'A few weeks ago I had my first biologic injection and it changed my life literally overnight. I know that for most people it can take weeks to work, but for me... it was instant. And I'm still in shock. 'I mean I know that this is not a cure and I'm still doing all I can to support my body naturally through food, movement, and rest. But this has given me something I haven't felt in a long time! 'Now it's time to rebuild, mentally, physically, emotionally. This next chapter is all about prioritising my wellbeing, becoming the happiest, healthiest version of me… and finally enjoying life again. 'Let's goo!!!' Biologic injections are types of medication that use proteins to target specific parts of the immune systems suffering with inflammation.

Katie and Peter's toxic relationship and why they can't be in same room

Katie Price and Peter Andre were once the golden couple of showbiz, with everybody enchanted by their romance, but things later turned ugly and the pair no longer speak Katie Price and Peter Andre once had it all – the glamour, the loved-up life, but they now cannot stomach one another. Millions were captivated by their romance after they met on ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004, with the pair tying the knot just one year later. At the time, Katie was known as her glamour modelling alter ego, Jordan, and made it no secret that she loved being in front of the camera. Their wedding was widely documented on their own reality shows as well as magazine deals after they said "I do" at the stunning Highclere Castle. ‌ After marrying, Katie gave birth to their first child together, Junior, before welcoming their daughter, Princess Tiaamii, two years later. Price and Andre continued their reign as one of the most in-demand couples in showbiz, with their show, Katie and Peter, appearing on screens since their meeting in 2004. ‌ They attended dozens of red carpet events together and had the world at their feet. Although they were flooded with magazine and TV offers, Katie has also revealed that she gained the most financially from their deals. Speaking on Louis Theroux's podcast, she explained that due to her high profile, Pete had a "lucky day." She told the broadcaster: "I was already established. He'd met me, and it was his lucky day. So we always had separate contracts. There's no way I'm splitting half and half, no thanks." She also claimed that she "made" Peter due to him having "a song." But after four years of marriage, the couple announced in May 2009 that they had decided to separate. Katie found out the news had been made public after Peter issued a damning statement, ending their marriage. Their divorce was finalised in September of the same year. So, where did it all go wrong for the once golden couple, and how is their relationship past the point of being amicable? Despite sharing two children, Katie and Peter no longer speak at all. Katie recently revealed that the pair don't even bat an eyelid at one another and shed light on the reason behind their divorce. Katie claimed Peter believed that she was having an affair with her dressage rider, Andrew Gould, which she has strongly denied. Speaking on Paul C Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast, the model and TV personality said: "We broke up because he thought I was having an affair with my dressage rider, and I've never slept with him. I just kept my horse there, and I was happy keeping my horse there, and he was married. "But when me and Pete split, because he used to keep saying 'That's it. I've had enough. I've had enough.'" Katie later revealed that she told Peter to divorce her due to the strain the doubts had on their relationship. She was on her way to the Maldives with her three children when she discovered their split had been made public. ‌ "That day, I'm at the airport, it's all on Sky News, it wasn't mutual at all," she said. She added: "And then I released a statement saying I don't want to split with Pete, it's Pete that's splitting with me. Until this day, me and Pete have never sat down and spoken about it. "It's all through lawyers. I've never sat down with him, we probably would've sorted it out but we were kept apart." Peter later told the Daily Star he was "absolutely gutted" that Katie had gone on holiday to the Maldives with their children, admitting it was "destroying" him. ‌ But while fans saw them frequently argue on their reality shows, Katie admitted Pete was the love of her life. At the time of their split, she said: "Pete is the love of my life and my life. We have children together, and I am devastated and disappointed by his decision to separate and divorce me as I married him for life. "This is not what I want, and the decision has been taken out of my hands. I will not comment further or do any interviews regarding the separation, but I will always love my Pete." Despite their arguments, Katie has insisted that she did share happy times with the singer-turned-actor. ‌ Appearing on Katherine Ryan's What's My Age Again? podcast, Katie explained that she had told their daughter Princess that she and Pete "had a laugh and bantered together" throughout their relationship. However, she explained that while she and Peter went everywhere as a family, this isn't the case for Pete and his second wife, Dr Emily. Katie, however, is glad Pete has found love again. She said: "I'm glad he's with Emily. She seems like a proper lady. I think it'd be weird if he went for someone like me." However, Pete wasn't happy with Katie speaking about his relationship. A source told us that Pete isn't happy about being dragged into what he considers to be "ancient history" and is desperate for it to stop. "Peter moved on a long time ago and is fed up of her talking about him because it was such a long time ago that they split," said the source. "It has a knock-on effect on his family, especially Emily. He knew their marriage was over when they split up 16 years ago, and he just wants her to leave it in the past, too. He's very happy with his life." Earlier this week, Pete spoke about toxicity between ex-partners after Sam Thompson and Louis Tomlinson came face-to-face at Soccer Aid. Louis is dating Sam's ex-girlfriend, reality star Zara McDermott. "I think people will always try to make a fuss about dramas with exes, but we don't know what happened," Pete said.
