The high-profile visit, which concluded successfully, proved instrumental in deepening institutional ties, while addressing key regional and global security issues, it added. During the course of his visit, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu engaged in a series of high-level meetings with senior US military and political leadership, focusing on advancing military cooperation, enhancing interoperability, and exploring avenues for joint training and technology exchange, the ISPR said. At the Pentagon, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu met with Secretary of the Air Force (International Affairs) Kelli L Seybolt and US Air Force Chief of Staff General David W Allvin. Upon his arrival, the visiting dignitary was welcomed with a formal Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Air Force, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement. During the meeting, the PAF chief highlighted the strong bilateral relationship between Pakistan and South Africa, emphasising the shared values and aspirations that underpin the two nations' deep-rooted friendship. He reiterated PAF's commitment to strengthening the aerial combat capabilities of the South African Air Force through tailored training and capacity-building initiatives, according to the ISPR. Forces eliminate two Indian-backed terrorists in Balochistan

RAWALPINDI: Two Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed and two others arrested in an operation by security forces in Balochistan, the military's media wing said on Sunday. The intelligence-based operation was conducted in Duki district after reports of the presence of terrorists affiliated with 'Fitna-e-Hindustan' (a terror proxy backed by India), according to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). ISPR stated that the hideout of the terrorists was effectively targeted. In the ensuing gun battle, two Indian-backed militants were killed, and two were taken into custody. Weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials were also recovered from the slain terrorists, who were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities. The military spokesperson affirmed that security forces remain committed to eradicating Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country, and vowed that such terrorists and their facilitators will be brought to justice. Yesterday, as many as 13 Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom in a suicide.

Indian-sponsored terrorists eliminated in Balochistan's Duki

Two Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed and two others apprehended by Pakistani security forces during an intelligence-based operation in the Duki district of Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). "On 28 June 2025, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Duki District of Balochistan, on the reported presence of terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy, Fitna al Hindustan. During the conduct of operation, own forces effectively engaged the Indian sponsored terrorists' location, and after an intense fire exchange, two Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell, while two terrorists were apprehended," said an ISPR news release. The statement added that weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the Indian-sponsored terrorists, who had been actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the region. A sanitisation operation is currently underway to clear the area of any remaining threats. "The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country, and reaffirm the nation's unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice," the statement read. In response to the operation, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday commended the security forces for their swift and successful action against the Indian-sponsored terrorist network. The president and the prime minister both lauded the elimination of two terrorists linked to the Fitna al Hindustan group. According to statement, the president stated that the nation was proud of its security forces for their "professional expertise". PM Shehbaz echoed this sentiment. "The security forces were acting like bulwark to eradicate terrorism from the country," he stated.
