In the post-Covid world, Dinesh Vijan established his horror comedy universe with films like Bhediya, Munjya, and Stree 2. Come Diwali 2025, and the audience will get to witness the next chapter of the universe in the form of Thama led by Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna with Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in key roles. According to sources close to the development, Dinesh Vijan is all set to unleash the world of Thama with a teaser during the Independence Day 2025 weekend. A source shares, 'Dinesh Vijan is in talks with exhibitors all across the country to showcase the teaser of Thama with the Hrithik Roshan and NTR -led War 2 during the Independence Day 2025 weekend. The exhibitors have agreed in principle, and are excited to showcase the next tentpole film of the universe with an action-packed saga like War 2.' The source further informs that Maddock's idea is to sample the teaser to a large cinema-going audience, and reconfirm their Diwali 2025 date. 'Thama is arriving on Diwali 2025, and the makers are looking to directly communicate their asset to a large cinema-going audience, who are expected to step out to watch War on the big screen. The Thama teaser will be hard-attached to the prints of Param Sundari, which arrives a couple of weeks after War 2,' the source informs. Insiders reveal that the Thama teaser will blow-away everyone's mind, as it introduces the audience to a different world. 'It's among the first vampire films of Hindi Cinema with A-List star-cast, and much like all films from the universe of Maddock, this one too merge thrills and chills with comedy,' the source concludes. Apart from the strong ensemble, Thama also has an extended cameo from Varun Dhawan as Bhediya, as director Aditya Satpodar and team are looking to explore the Vampire v/s Werewolf conflict in the future films of the universe. Independence Day Streaming Drama The madness began when AMP, with talent like Kai Cenat, Duke Dennis, Fanum, Agent00, Chrisnxtdoor, and ImDavisss live streamed a 4th of July stunt that soon spiralled out of control. As their ongoing 30-day subathon unfolded, hundreds of thousands watched live as the crew fought back the Clover Boys with a surprise raid. Things had been heating up since the Clover Boys RaKai and Tylil James, to be specific, allegedly did some firecracker damage to AMP members' dorm rooms in their Atlanta home while AMP was away. In AMP's retort, it scheduled what can only be described as a 'revenge vacation'. As you heard in Kai Cenat's fire stream, 'We Destroyed The Clover House…', AMP had already sent the Clover Boys a free trip to Puerto Rico. Things got personal quick when Kai called out RaKai and Ray (aka Rayasianboy) for 'bad behavior'. Backlash at the AMP House The Clover Boys were back from vacation and they struck back soon. As AMP projected from a second summer house, Clover Boys dug into AMP's main house, turning it up a notch. The coup de grace came when Duke Dennis, the group's enforcer, began executing a one-man wrecking livestream. Streaming live from RaKai's room, Duke, armed with a sledgehammer, destroyed the 16-year-old's full setup. The stream peaked at more than 120,000 simultaneous viewers, making it one of Duke's most-watched streams ever. His rampage didn't stop there. Duke went room to room, tangling with Tylil James in a fist fight that left James splayed on the floor. The Clover Boys Destroy The AMP House... Fan responses Clips of the incidents went viral almost immediately. On X, AMP tweeted a clip saying, 'DUKE IS GOING TO KILL RAKAI 😳', fueling speculation about the authenticity and intensity of the feud. The Aftermath Of AMP Vs The Clover Boys War.. YRF planned this release over two years ago, targeting the Independence Day 2025 weekend. A third week in IMAX depends on War 2 's box-office performance, and the schedule of the next IMAX film. Meanwhile, Sun Pictures have sparked confusion by incorrectly suggesting their film Coolie, that's also releasing on the same day as War 2, is IMAX-approved. This has created a controversy, with IMAX, allegedly, having to clarify a few things directly with the makers of Coolie. YRF Confirms Theatrical Exclusivity Of War 2 YRF's strategic deal ensures War 2 is the sole Indian film on IMAX screens globally for two weeks. Only a Hollywood film, Weapons by Warner Bros, will share IMAX screens outside India during this period. IMAX's global policy is clear and that is that theatres cannot screen non-IMAX films in IMAX auditoriums when an IMAX-formatted film is available. This rule protects the premium experience that IMAX wishes to deliver to its audiences. IMAX Supports War 2; Allegedly Expresses Concern Over Coolie Misrepresenting Their Brand IMAX strongly supports War 2 and have launched global promotions, highlighting their trust in YRF and the film's potential. In contrast, Sun Pictures placed the IMAX logo on Coolie's posters, despite IMAX declining to screen the film. IMAX has reportedly expressed concern, noting that this misrepresentation misleads fans and risks harming the format's credibility and industry relationships.
