Force Motors share price today Shares of Force Motors hit a new high of ₹13,145.70, as they rallied 9 per cent on the BSE in Thursday's intra-day trade in an otherwise weak market owing to a healthy business outlook. The stock price of this smallcap automobile company surpassed its previous high of ₹12,902.95 touched on June 6, 2025. At 01:17 PM; Force Motors quoted 8 per cent higher at ₹13,120.45, as compared to 0.4 per cent decline in the BSE Sensex. In the past five months, the market price of the company more-than-doubled or zoomed 106 per cent from a level of ₹6,384 on January 13, 2025. What's driving Force Motors stock price? Since March 27, 2025, the stock price of Force Motors has appreciated by nearly 50 per cent after the company in an exchange filing said it has to deliver 2,978 Force Gurkha light vehicles (GS 4X4 800 kg Soft Top) to the Indian Defence Forces. These vehicles are tailored to meet the diverse operational requirements of both the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force, showcasing Force Motors' capability to deliver mission-ready vehicles designed to perform in demanding defence environments, Force Motors said. Force Motors has been catering to the defence sector for many years through its Gurkha LSV (Light Strike Vehicle) , a vehicle renowned for its durability, off-road prowess, and adaptability. Force Motors records exceptional income of ₹394.57 crore in Q4 In the January to March 2025 quarter (Q4FY25), Force Motors reported an exceptional income of ₹394.57 crore, being government Incentives, as per the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Investment Promotion Assistance Scheme, 2010, recognised on the basis of sanctioned orders dated February 21, 2025, and received in March, 2025, for FY 2022-23 and FY 2023-24. Out of the said sanctioned amount of ₹394.57 crore, Force Motors said the company received disbursement amounting to ₹294.57 crore. Defence sector outlook Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh has said that contracts worth around ₹2 trillion are expected to be signed in FY26, aiming to match FY25's record contract value of ₹2.09 trillion crore. Of the 193 contracts signed in FY25, 92 per cent were awarded to Indian firms, reaffirming self-reliance and its preference for domestic manufacturing. Singh emphasized that imports should be rare, with technology transfer and Indian production being the norm - even for foreign OEMs seeking Indian contracts. ICICI Securities in note said that the brokerage firm also believes that total defence contracts during FY26 will easily touch ₹2 trillion or may surpass this value, considering that some large scale contracts are in advanced stages and likely to be placed this year. Who Came Up With Operation Sindoor's Logo? Meet Lt Col Harsh Gupta, Hav Surinder Singh
Last Updated: The first visuals from the command centre of 'Operation Sindoor', released by the Indian Army HQ Operations room, also revealed the individuals behind the design of the logo. In early hours of May 7, Indian Defence Forces launched precision strikes at nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) under 'Operation Sindoor" in response to the dastardly Pahalgam terror attack which claimed 26 lives. In a late night press statement on May 7, the Indian Defence Ministry said, 'A little while ago, the Indian armed forces launched 'Operation Sindoor' hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed." Who Designed The Logo? The credit for designing the logo goes to Lieutenant Colonel Harsh Gupta and Havaldar Surinder Singh. The logo is a poignant and symbolic image used by the Indian Army. It features the words 'OPERATION SINDOOR" written in block letters. The key symbolic element is that one of the 'O's in 'SINDOOR" is depicted as a bowl of vermilion. Some of the red powder is shown as having spilled over or scattered, resembling spattered blood. Sindoor, or vermillion, traditionally signifies the marital status of Hindu women, and its removal signifies widowhood. Therefore, the spilled sindoor in the logo symbolises the lives lost and the grief of the women who lost their partners, while also conveying the message of 'justice served" and India's resolve in retaliation The letter 'O' in the operation's name, shaped as a bowl of red vermillion, evoked not just tradition, but also the raw emotions of passion, power, and fury. What Is Operation Sindoor? India launched 'precision strikes" under Operation Sindoor on nine terror targets in Pakistan and PoK following the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians. The strikes killed over 100 terrorists including 10 family members of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar and four close aides. Targets included Jaish's Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur, Sarjal camp in Tehra Kalan, Markaz Abbas in Kotli, and the Syedna Bilal camp in Muzaffarabad. Lashkar's strongholds — Markaz Taiba in Murdike, Markaz Ahle Hadith in Barnala, and Shwawai Nalla camp in Muzaffarabad — were also hit. Hizbul Mujahideen's facilities at Makaz Raheel Shahid in Kotli and Mehmoona Joya in Sialkot were among those targeted. The strikes, carried out with surgical precision, mark one of the most significant cross-border counter-terror operations since Balakot. Why It Was Named 'Operation Sindoor'? The codename 'Operation Sindoor', under which India responded to the dastardly Pahalgam terror attack carried a message that was both emotionally resonant and symbolically heroic. Approved by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the name was chosen to symbolically reflect India's response to the Pahalgam attack, keeping in mind the widows of the terror attack. Himanshi Narwal from Haryana, Aishanya Dwivedi from Uttar Pradesh, Shital Kalathiya and Kajalben Parmar from Gujarat, Sohini Adhikari from Kolkata, Pragati Jagdale from Maharashtra, Sheela Ramachandran from Kerala, Jennifer Nathaniel from Madhya Pradesh and Jaya Mishra were the women whose husbands were killed by the terrorists in Pahalgam. It was Himanshi Narwal, married for just six days, kneeling beside the body of her husband, Navy officer Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, who became the face of the tragedy. Days later, Himanshi appeared paying tribute to her husband, but without the sindoor (vermillion) that shines on the forehead of married Hindu women. In the high-level meetings, the Prime Minister emphasised that the recent terror attack had deliberately targeted Indian men, leaving behind widowed women and broken families. Sindoor, or vermillion, traditionally signifies the marital status of Hindu women and serves as a poignant reference to the April 22 Pahalgam massacre, where terrorists targeted and killed men—some newly married—based on their religion. "Pakistan would have understood that they cannot fight with us in direct war": Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 12 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday expressed his gratitude to the Indian Defence Forces for giving a befitting reply to Pakistan, stating that the 'neighbouring country has now understood that they cannot fight with India in a direct war.' Maharashtra CM Fadnavis highlighted that Mumbai's status as India's economic capital makes it a potential target, necessitating a review meeting with defence forces to assess the state's security preparedness and future planning. Speaking to reporters, CM Fadnavis said, 'Our military has shown Pakistan its place. Pakistan's many airbases and terror hotbeds were destroyed. By now, they would have understood that they cannot fight with us in direct war, but we have seen in history that they have chosen proxy wars as well. Hence, the economic capital of Mumbai has become vulnerable, and hence we had the review meeting today regarding the preparations and further planning...' The review meeting took place two days after India and Pakistan agreed to stop all firing and military action on land, in the air, and at sea. However, hours after that, reports came of Pakistan violating the cessation of hostilities with India's air defence intercepting Pakistani drones amid a blackout in Srinagar and various other parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Punjab. Earlier, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde thanked all three services for giving a befitting reply to Pakistan and said that Mumbai is the financial capital and the state government needs to be 'fully alert', as the city was earlier targeted by terrorists in 2008. 'An important meeting related to security has taken place with the Army, Navy, Air Force and Civil Defence under the chairmanship of the CM. A discussion was held to appoint a nodal officer. This is the financial capital, so Mumbai is always targeted. We need to be fully alert,' Eknath Shinde told ANI. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for empowering the defence forces with a free hand in responding to threats. 'I want to thank all three services for giving a befitting to PM Modi for giving free hand to all three services. Earlier, no one ever dared to give free hand to the armed forces, no matter how bad the situation was,' he added. The security meeting, chaired by CM Fadnavis at his official residence, was attended by top officials from the defence forces and key state departments. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar were also present at this meeting on security and preparedness in the state. From the Indian Army, Lt. General Pawan Chadha, Colonel Sandeep Seal, from the Indian Navy, Rear Admiral Anil Jaggi, Naval Commander Nitesh Garg, and from the Indian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Rajat Mohan, were present at the meeting. Representatives from the Reserve Bank, JNPT, BPT, Mumbai Stock Exchange, National Stock Exchange, ATS, and Home Guard were present. The meeting discussed the exchange of intelligence information, more use of technology and what precautions to take. The cooperation expected from the state government with the defence forces and the establishment of a faster coordination mechanism were discussed.
