Top Hamas commander, Oct 7 planner, killed in 'Israeli' operation, says 'Israeli' army
Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) confirmed on Saturday that a joint operation targeted and killed a senior Hamas military council member in Gaza City on Friday. The strike eliminated Abu Omar Al-Suri, a Syrian national of Palestinian origin who played a significant role in Hamas' military operations and training. Activists close to Hamas announced Abu Omar's death without providing further details. Though not widely known within Gaza, activists said he was killed in an Israeli strike south of the city on Friday evening. Hamas supporters say Abu Omar came from Syria in 2005 to transfer his experience to Gaza's resistance. He contributed extensively across various areas, founding the Qassam Brigades Academy, which has graduated thousands of fighters. Thanks to his expertise, he introduced diverse scientific and technical knowledge across multiple military specializations. Hamas activists noted that Abu Omar was originally from Burqa, near Nablus in the occupied West Bank. He was also one of the key planners of the October 7 Al-Aqsa Flood operation. Through social media and WhatsApp groups, Hamas supporters emphasized Abu Omar's crucial role in the technical and structural development of the Qassam Brigades, calling him one of the few individuals with a 'real impact' on Gaza's resistance.

Katz on Khamenei: If he had been in our sights, we would have taken him out
'Israel's' Defense Minister Israel Katz has said the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) would have killed Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during the recent war had the opportunity arisen. Speaking to Kan public radio on Thursday night, Katz declared, "If he had been in our sights, we would have taken him out." According to Katz, the IOF actively searched for Khamenei throughout the war, but he had gone into deep hiding. "Khamenei understood this, went very deep underground, broke off contact with the commanders... so in the end it wasn't realistic," he said. In separate remarks to Channel 13, Katz indicated that targeted assassination efforts had now ceased due to the end of active hostilities. "There is a difference between before the ceasefire and after the ceasefire." Katz, who had previously said Khamenei "can no longer be allowed to exist," acknowledged that such plans were no longer being pursued. His earlier comments came after reports suggested Washington had blocked 'Israeli' efforts to carry out an assassination. Still, Katz warned the Iranian leader to stay underground, referencing Hezbollah's former leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed by 'Israel' in an airstrike on Beirut in 2024. "He should learn from the late Nasrallah, who sat for a long time deep in the bunker," Katz said.

VIDEO: 'Israeli' airstrikes kill woman, injure 10 in southern Lebanon
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) launched one of their heaviest aerial assaults in recent months on Friday, striking the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh and surrounding areas in what officials described as the most severe escalation since the 66-day war. At least one woman was killed and 10 others were wounded when an IOF missile struck a residential apartment in central Nabatieh, according to a statement from Lebanon's Ministry of Health. The attack left significant damage to buildings and infrastructure, with images from the scene showing shattered homes and scorched streets. According to local reporters, the assault involved more than 20 intense airstrikes that targeted Nabatieh al-Fawqa and the nearby highlands of Kfar Tebnit. Fires broke out in the Ali Al-Taher forests as a result, and several major roads were forced to close due to the destruction and risk of further strikes. The bombardment marks a dangerous escalation in the region, drawing sharp condemnation from Lebanese officials. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam issued a statement denouncing the IOF strikes as a "blatant violation of Lebanese sovereignty" and a breach of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which established the ceasefire terms following the 2006 Lebanon war.

Israel Cuts Aid to Gaza After Palestinian Clans Secure Convoys
Rabat – Israel has once again completely blocked aid supplies into Gaza, under the familiar pretext of preventing food from reaching Hamas. After threats from Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich to resign from the government, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a joint statement on Wednesday declaring that the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) will devise a plan within two days to 'prevent Hamas from accessing aid.' Netanyahu and Katz cited new, undisclosed information purportedly showing that Hamas was diverting aid meant for civilians in northern Gaza. While the statement withheld specifics, a video circulating on social media showed dozens of masked men—some armed with rifles but mostly carrying sticks—riding on aid trucks. Hamas denied any involvement, a claim echoed by The Higher Commission for Tribal Affairs, led by Sheikh Abu Salman al-Mughni, which represents influential clans in Gaza. The commission rejected Israel's allegations, affirming that the trucks were protected as part of an aid security effort managed exclusively through tribal arrangements, with no Hamas participation. 'The clans came…to form a stance to prevent the aggressors and the thieves from stealing the food that belongs to our people,' al-Mughni stated, confirming that the secured aid was being delivered directly to families in Gaza. The group emphasized that 'all humanitarian aid is fully secured and directly overseen by the clans, and is distributed exclusively through international agencies.' This aligns with the footage showing crowds around the trucks cheering and applauding, indicating the men on the trucks were indeed safeguarding the aid. Additional images online showed food being safely delivered to international agencies' warehouses, a fact corroborated by eyewitnesses. 'It was families in Gaza who secured the trucks and ensured aid was uploaded at the WFP and UNICEF warehouses,' said Palestinian poet and Gaza genocide survivor Mosab Abu Toha on social media. 'Israel hates the fact that food will begin to be distributed in a way that upholds human dignity,' he added, commenting on Israel's decision to halt the already scarce aid. The clans committee also urged the UN Security Council to immediately dispatch a delegation to Gaza to monitor aid distribution on the ground and verify the transparency of the process. 'What has entered Gaza is a mere drop in the ocean compared to the needs of our suffering population – children, women, the elderly, the sick, and all our people,' the group reminded. The World Food Programme said yesterday that it has only been able to deliver 9,000 metric tons of food to Gaza since 19 May—'less than one day's worth of food for everyone for over four weeks.' Clans—extended families bound by blood or marriage—play a crucial role in Gazan society. Throughout Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza, many clans have taken it upon themselves to secure aid convoys alongside civil society groups and factions—including Hamas. While Israel has long made baseless accusations that the Palestinian resistance looted aid to justify its systematic starvation of Gaza, Netanyahu himself has been arming militias such as the Abu Shabab gang. These groups have been stealing aid and reselling to desperate Palestinians at exorbitant prices—all while posing as security guards under IOF protection. These militias have also collaborated with the IOF in carrying out executions at the infamous US- Israel backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) 'aid' sites, where over 400 Palestinians seeking assistance have been killed since late May.

Ben-Gvir claims Gaza aid is "oxygen for Hamas"
'Israeli' National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has publicly condemned the continued delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza, calling it a 'disgrace' and demanding an immediate and complete end to the assistance, not just a temporary pause. 'What is needed in Gaza is not a temporary halt of the 'humanitarian' aid, but a complete cessation of it,' Ben-Gvir wrote in a post on X, on Thursday. He claimed the aid is sustaining Hamas and argued that he had been the sole voice of opposition in the cabinet when aid was approved over a month ago. — איתמר בן גביר (@itamarbengvir) June 26, 2025 'There were those who mocked me and claimed that 'the aid entering the northern Strip would only be for 10 days,'' Ben-Gvir continued. 'And now it is becoming clear what was known in advance: Hamas is taking control of the quantities of food and goods, which contribute to its survival.' He vowed to demand a re-vote on the issue at the next 'Israeli' cabinet meeting, stating that 'stopping the aid will quickly advance us toward victory.' Ben-Gvir's comments come just hours after 'Israel' reportedly halted all humanitarian deliveries into Gaza, according to Hebrew Channel 12. The move follows 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's directive to the army to develop a new plan for aid distribution, citing concerns that Hamas is commandeering supplies. The temporary suspension will remain in place until the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) present a revised distribution strategy, Channel 12 reported, quoting an 'Israeli' official. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, another far-right figure in Netanyahu's coalition, has also ramped up pressure on the government. He reportedly threatened to resign if the issue of aid to Hamas was not addressed decisively.
