Ben-Gvir claims Gaza aid is "oxygen for Hamas"

Roya News6 days ago
'Israeli' National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has publicly condemned the continued delivery of humanitarian aid into Gaza, calling it a 'disgrace' and demanding an immediate and complete end to the assistance, not just a temporary pause.
'What is needed in Gaza is not a temporary halt of the 'humanitarian' aid, but a complete cessation of it,' Ben-Gvir wrote in a post on X, on Thursday. He claimed the aid is sustaining Hamas and argued that he had been the sole voice of opposition in the cabinet when aid was approved over a month ago.

'There were those who mocked me and claimed that 'the aid entering the northern Strip would only be for 10 days,'' Ben-Gvir continued. 'And now it is becoming clear what was known in advance: Hamas is taking control of the quantities of food and goods, which contribute to its survival.'
He vowed to demand a re-vote on the issue at the next 'Israeli' cabinet meeting, stating that 'stopping the aid will quickly advance us toward victory.'
Ben-Gvir's comments come just hours after 'Israel' reportedly halted all humanitarian deliveries into Gaza, according to Hebrew Channel 12. The move follows 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's directive to the army to develop a new plan for aid distribution, citing concerns that Hamas is commandeering supplies.
The temporary suspension will remain in place until the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) present a revised distribution strategy, Channel 12 reported, quoting an 'Israeli' official.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, another far-right figure in Netanyahu's coalition, has also ramped up pressure on the government. He reportedly threatened to resign if the issue of aid to Hamas was not addressed decisively.

Trump says Israel has agreed to terms for 60-day Gaza ceasefire

Ammon News - President Trump announced Tuesday that Israel has agreed to an updated proposal for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza that would secure the release of some hostages. He urged Hamas to accept the deal, warning on Truth Social that "it will not get better — IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE." Fresh off brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Iran after 12 days of war, Trump is now pressing for a breakthrough in Gaza, where the conflict has dragged on for more than a year and a half. The 60-day ceasefire, which has been under negotiations for months, would mark a significant step in this direction. There's no indication yet that Hamas is prepared to accept the terms of the deal. Trump's announcement followed several hours of meetings Tuesday at the White House between his envoy Steve Witkoff and Israeli Minister for Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, a top adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The two discussed an updated ceasefire and hostage-release proposal put forward by Qatar. Dermer informed Witkoff that Israel accepts the Qatari proposal and is prepared to begin indirect talks with Hamas to finalize the deal, a senior Israeli official told Axios. "Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize the 60 Day CEASEFIRE, during which time we will work with all parties to end the War," Trump wrote on Truth Social. He said Qatar and Egypt, which have been mediating between the two parties, would deliver this "final proposal" to Hamas. "I hope, for the good of the Middle East, that Hamas takes this Deal, because it will not get better — IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE," the president warned.

Houthis claim hypersonic missile strike on ‘Israel's' Ben Gurion Airport

Yemen's Houthi movement claimed responsibility on Tuesday for a ballistic missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv using a hypersonic missile. In a series of televised statements, the spokesperson said, 'We carried out an operation targeting Lod Airport in occupied Jaffa with a hypersonic ballistic missile. The operation successfully achieved its objective, causing millions to flee to shelters and halting airport activity.' The group also claimed its drone force launched three additional operations targeting 'sensitive sites' in Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, and Eilat. The Houthi military spokesperson emphasized that the attacks were part of Yemen's continued military support for Palestinians in Gaza amid ongoing 'Israeli' bombardments. 'The Yemeni Armed Forces will continue their support operations in rejection of the genocide crimes in Gaza,' he declared.

Qatar submits new proposal for Gaza ceasefire: Details

Qatar has put forward a new proposal aimed at securing a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange between 'Israel' and Hamas, according to 'Israel's' public broadcaster Kan 11, citing diplomatic sources on Tuesday evening. The proposal outlines a 60-day truce in the Gaza Strip. On the first day of the ceasefire, eight 'Israeli' captives held alive would be released. Additional captives would be released on the 50th day of the truce, along with the gradual transfer of the remains of 18 deceased 'Israeli' captives, to be delivered in three separate phases. The plan also calls for the withdrawal of 'Israeli' forces to the Morag axis, a former 'Israeli' settlement located between Khan Younis and Rafah in southern Gaza, and a significant increase in the volume of humanitarian aid entering the territory. Sources familiar with the negotiations described the proposal as a 'serious opportunity' for a breakthrough, but acknowledged that key disagreements remain, particularly over the conditions for ending the war and the extent of the 'Israeli' military withdrawal from Gaza. The proposal comes amid intensified regional diplomacy aimed at restarting ceasefire talks, which have stalled in recent weeks. On Tuesday, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani held a phone call with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, to coordinate efforts with the US and explore pathways to a deal. According to a statement from Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both ministers stressed the importance of halting the bloodshed in Gaza, securing the release of detainees and captives, and ensuring the unimpeded flow of humanitarian assistance into the Strip. On Monday evening, Egypt's Foreign Minister revealed that Cairo is working on a proposal involving a 60-day ceasefire in exchange for the release of 'Israeli' captives. Despite these efforts, Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed Al-Ansari appeared cautious about the status of the talks. Speaking on Monday, he stated that the current discussions had yet to reach the level of formal negotiations, and that 'it is too early to speak of a timeline for a ceasefire agreement.'
