4 Minors Detained For Stabbing Haryana School Principal To Death

The four students who allegedly murdered their school principal in Haryana's Hisar have been detained, said the police on Friday. While two of the students carried out the attack, the other two helped plan it and provided the weapon - a folding knife, said the police. Jagbir Singh, 50, principal of Kartar Memorial Senior Secondary School at Hisar's Bas Badshahpur village, was stabbed with a knife three times after he asked the students to get a haircut and follow discipline. The CCTV footage shows three to four boys in school uniform, all minors and friends from the same school, fleeing from the scene, Superintendent of Police (SP), Hansi, Amit Yashvardhan said. Based on a tip-off, all four were caught at Mundhal bus stand, still wearing uniform, the police official added. "The team immediately raided there and rounded up all four. These boys are minors, so their identity cannot be revealed," he said. During interrogation, the boys confessed that they were angry with the principal for asking them to stay away from drugs and getting a haircut. "Apart from this, he (the Principal) used to tell them not to bring any such thing in their bag which was prohibited in the school, but they did not improve. When the Principal repeatedly warned them to improve, they considered it as a grudge and committed the crime," the police said. Police are also investigating a video where the boys demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh. It is suspected they may have been influenced by a criminal gang through social media, the police officer said. Two of the accused belong to the same village as the Principal, the superintendent added. After the murder, the students stole a bike and went to different locations. Theft charges have also been added to the FIR, the officer further said. In a tragic coincidence, the principal was killed, allegedly by the students, on Guru Purnima day, an occasion to show respect to teachers and mentors.

Two minors stab principal to death in school premises in Haryana's Hisar

Chandigarh: A director-cum-principal was stabbed to death in a private school in a village in Haryana's Hisar district on Thursday, allegedly by two minor students who were upset at being repeatedly reprimanded for not having a proper haircut and following discipline. According to information received, the students, one of Class 11 and another of Class 12, attacked director-principal Jagbir Singh Pannu with a knife and repeatedly stabbed him. The local police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. The crime occurred in Kartar Memorial Senior Secondary School in Bass village in Narnaund subdivision. The police said Jagbir Singh suffered grievous wounds in the attack. He was taken to a private hospital in Hisar by school staff, where he died during treatment. The police said the preliminary investigation revealed that Jagbir Singh had advised both students to come with their hair cut and follow discipline in the school. Angered by this, both minors attacked the principal with a knife and killed him. The police have started scanning the CCTV footage of the school premises, and statements of eyewitnesses are being recorded. The Superintendent of Police told the media that the reason and circumstances behind the murder would be revealed only after the post-mortem examination and detailed investigation. This incident took place inside the school premises, which has shaken the entire area. The whole village was tense, and people expressed shock. The crime took place on the day of Guru Purnima, the day when the relationship between the guru and the disciple is respected, but this incident has tarnished this relationship. As soon as the information about the crime was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. Both students have absconded after the incident and have been identified. Since they are minors, their identity cannot be revealed.

2 Students Murder Haryana School Principal. He Asked Them To Get A Haircut

Chandigarh: The principal of a school in Haryana's Hisar was stabbed to death, allegedly by two Class 12 students. The minors allegedly stabbed the Principal with a knife multiple times after he asked them to get a haircut and follow discipline. Police are investigating the matter. The minors have not been detained yet. In a tragic coincidence, this happened on a day observed as Guru Purnima to show respect to teachers and mentors. Jagbir Singh, 50, principal of Kartar Memorial Senior Secondary School at Hisar's Bas Badshahpur village, was stabbed around 10.30 am today. He suffered serious injuries in the attack and died on the spot. The shocking incident sparked panic on the campus. Local police were called in, and a team of cops reached the school soon after. Amit Yashvardhan, Superintendent of Police for Hansi, said that the preliminary investigation had revealed that the Principal had asked the students to get a haircut, dress properly and follow the school's rules and regulations. Mr Singh told the teenagers to mend their ways and noted that they had been warned multiple times. This infuriated the Class 12 students. They fished out a folding knife and stabbed Mr Singh multiple times. He collapsed on the spot and bled to death, police have said. CCTV footage from inside the campus shows the boys running after stabbing the Principal. One of them is seen throwing the folding knife away -- the murder weapon. Other students and school staff are then seen carrying the Principal to a car to rush him to the hospital. Mr Yashvardhan said the two students are minors and have not been taken into custody yet. Police have scanned CCTV footage of the school premises and are recording the statements of eyewitnesses. The senior police officer said the exact circumstances of the murder will be known only after the postmortem report and a detailed investigation.
