The principal of a school in Haryana's Hisar was stabbed to death, allegedly by two Class 12 students. The minors allegedly stabbed the Principal with a knife multiple times after he asked them to get a haircut and follow discipline. Police are investigating the matter. The minors have not been detained yet. In a tragic coincidence, this happened on a day observed as Guru Purnima to show respect to teachers and mentors.
Jagbir Singh, 50, principal of Kartar Memorial Senior Secondary School at Hisar's Bas Badshahpur village, was stabbed around 10.30 am today. He suffered serious injuries in the attack and died on the spot. The shocking incident sparked panic on the campus.
Local police were called in, and a team of cops reached the school soon after. Amit Yashvardhan, Superintendent of Police for Hansi, said that the preliminary investigation had revealed that the Principal had asked the students to get a haircut, dress properly and follow the school's rules and regulations. Mr Singh told the teenagers to mend their ways and noted that they had been warned multiple times.
This infuriated the Class 12 students. They fished out a folding knife and stabbed Mr Singh multiple times. He collapsed on the spot and bled to death, police have said. CCTV footage from inside the campus shows the boys running after stabbing the Principal. One of them is seen throwing the folding knife away -- the murder weapon. Other students and school staff are then seen carrying the Principal to a car to rush him to the hospital.
Mr Yashvardhan said the two students are minors and have not been taken into custody yet. Police have scanned CCTV footage of the school premises and are recording the statements of eyewitnesses. The senior police officer said the exact circumstances of the murder will be known only after the postmortem report and a detailed investigation.

Police said the accused took responsibility for the attack and posted it to social media and even threatened to harm Pannu's son next if they were not paid ₹10 lakh. Authorities said the boys would be sent to a safe house by evening. Teachers, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Pannu had warned the students multiple times about smoking and keeping untrimmed hair, but they ignored his instructions. 'After stabbing the principal, the boys left their school bags in the classroom. A mobile phone and two energy drinks were found in one of the bags,' a police officer added. The alliance's national president, Kulbhushan Sharma, said the murder has deeply shaken the education community, especially since it occurred on the day of Guru Purnima, a festival dedicated to teachers. Hotel staff held for secretly filming woman
Varanasi: A female team member staying at a hotel in Vindhyachal with her guru was allegedly filmed and photographed by a hotel employee while bathing on Thursday morning. The woman reported the incident to the police, leading to the registration of a case at Vindhyachal police station in Mirzapur and the swift arrest of the accused. According to reports, a guru from Lucknow visited the Vindhyachal shrine with his team on the occasion of Guru Purnima. Before visiting the temple in the morning, the woman went to bathe in the bathroom, where a hotel employee allegedly took inappropriate videos and photos of her from a window. 32 injured as bus rolls down hill in Bilaspur
Shimla: A total of 32 devotees were injured after a private bus they were travelling in rolled down a hill near Namloh village in Bilaspur district in the early hours of Friday. The devotees were returning to Darlaghat after attending a religious function held on the occasion of Guru Purnima in Nurmahal, Punjab. There were 36 passengers on board at the time of the accident, most of whom belonged to Darlaghat in Solan district. The locals were the first to reach the accident spot and inform the police and emergency services. They also helped to take out the injured from the bus. A police officer said all the injured were taken to AIIMS Bilaspur and other govt hospitals in Bilaspur. The officer mentioned that the police were inquiring into the cause of the accident. Meanwhile, CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited AIIMS in Bilaspur to enquire about the well-being of the injured . He met the injured and assured them of all possible assistance.
