Georgia's Future Star QB Pushing Projected $355,000 Playmaker to Join Dawgs

Georgia's Future Star QB Pushing Projected $355,000 Playmaker to Join Dawgs originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Georgia Bulldogs landed 2026 four-star wide receiver Craig Dandridge on the recruiting trail Thursday. But the Bulldogs may not be done adding star playmakers. Advertisement Bulldogs five-star quarterback commit Jared Curtis is hoping Georgia can land yet another highly touted receiver. On3's Steve Wiltfong reported Friday that Curtis is taking matters into his own hands to ensure that happens. "Nashville (Tenn.) Christian five-star quarterback Jared Curtis is the top-ranked prospect competing at the [Overtime OT7 Playoffs] checking in as the nation's No. 2 overall prospect and No. 1 signal-caller," Wiltfong wrote. "He's playing for the Overtime RWE Team and he talked future Georgia teammate Lincoln Keyes to fly down and play with him. Those two will continue to build on the chemistry already formed. "Curtis is doing his part to help recruit another one of his teammates at the event in five-star receiver Cederian Morgan." Advertisement 'We've got a great connection and I feel like if I go there I have a quarterback that's going to get me the ball,' Morgan told Wiltfong. Morgan is the No. 2 receiver and top Alabama prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. The receiver is also rated the No. 12 overall recruit in the class. On3 projected Morgan's NIL value to be $355,000. It may be difficult, though, for the Bulldogs to poach Morgan from his home state. The 247Sports crystal ball predicted the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers as the favorites to land Morgan. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine also had Alabama and Auburn as the top two candidates for Morgan. Based on the On3 RPM, Georgia has under a 1% chance of landing the five-star wideout. 5-star Oregon football QB target Ryder Lyons receives new prediction ahead of commitment

The Oregon Ducks have been working hard to land a 5-star passer in the class of 2026, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen at this point. While Jared Curtis chose the Georgia Bulldogs over the Ducks earlier this spring, the focus shifted to 5-star QB Ryder Lyons for Dan Lanning and his staff. After being considered the favorites for quite a while, it appears that Lyons, the No. 14 player and No. 4 QB in the class, is likely to end up elsewhere. According to new recruiting predictions from On3's Steve Wiltfong and Pete Nakos, Lyons is likely going to choose the BYU Cougars on Tuesday when he announces his commitment. While Lyons is a member of the 2026 class, he is expected to take an LDS mission out of high school, which will delay his enrollment until 2027. Because of this, Oregon was also recruiting a couple of other QB prospects in the 2026 class, like Bryson Beaver and Matt Ponotoski. Both players were on campus for their official visits this past weekend, and Oregon is projected to be right at the top of their lists when it comes to a commitment. We will see where the Ducks go with the 2026 QB spot down the road, but missing out on an elite player like Lyons is unfortunate. Georgia flips 4-star CB Caden Harris from Vanderbilt

June 14 - Four-star cornerback Caden Harris flipped his commitment from home-state Vanderbilt to Georgia on Saturday. Harris, who plays at Haywood High School in Brownsville, Tenn., is ranked as the No. 11 cornerback and No. 85 prospect overall in the 2026 class by the 247Sports composite. He announced his Georgia commitment with a short video posted to social media site X that included this note: "Recruitment shut down!!" Harris committed to Vanderbilt in April but took an official visit to Georgia on June 6 and had four others scheduled with Southeastern Conference teams. "I felt real strong about Georgia coming in," Harris told DawgNation. "We'd be in contact for a while, and they had just been hard on me ever since. We had the OV planned. I knew for sure I had to come down and take it. I was coming into it strong, and I left out of it even stronger." Harris' commitment is the fifth this month for Georgia, which stands at No. 4 in the 247Sports class rankings. The Bulldogs trail Southern California, Ohio State and Notre Dame, still early in the 2026 recruitment cycle. Georgia's class includes one five-star prospect, quarterback Jared Curtis from Nashville (Tenn.) Christian School. He is ranked by the composite as the No. 1 QB and No. 4 overall player in the class. --Field Level Media
