Highlights of 5-star Georgia QB commit Jared Curtis
Five-star Georgia Bulldogs quarterback commit Jared Curtis is the top ranked player at his position in the class of 2026. Curtis is a foundational piece for coach Kirby Smart and Georgia.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound quarterback plays high school football for Nashville Christian School in Nashville, Tennessee. Curtis projects as the quarterback of the future for Georgia.
During his 2024 high school season, completed 40 touchdown passes and threw just three interceptions. Curtis completed over 70 percent of his passes for 2,830 yards as a junior. Curtis is a big, mobile quarterback. As a rusher, he added 637 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns on 88 carries. He helped Nashville Christian go 12-1 and win their first state championship since 2015.
Curtis and Nashville Christian defeated Columbia Academy 49-21 in the 2024 state championship. In the game, Curtis passed for 158 yards including two touchdowns. He also added 60 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.
Curtis showcased the value of his mobility and strength in the red zone in the state championship. He does not easily go down at first contact as a rusher, but is also more than capable of connecting with his receivers with deep, accurate passes.

Curtis is the complete package at quarterback. It may take him a bit of time to adjust to the speed of college football like any other freshman. He has the talent to start right away as a true freshman if things click for him.
Curtis had one deflected pass that was lucky to not be intercepted, but did a good job of finding his guys a few times in tight coverage. The Nashville Christian star can extend plays and forces defenses to defend the entire field due to his dual threat ability.

The timing of his return to campus remains unclear, but he is scheduled to appear at a Big 12 Conference media event in Frisco, Texas on July 9. Wearing weighted vests helps build strength and endurance. They also help stimulate the growth of new bone cells, according to Harvard Medical School. Deion Jr. said in a video posted on YouTube June 21 that his father was 'back active, moving around' and has made progress. Sanders Sr. previously said on social media on June 11 that 'everything is OKAY' and that he would provide a full update upon his return to Colorado. In late May, Sanders Sr. appeared on a podcast with former NFL cornerback Asante Samuel and said that 'what I'm dealing with right now is at a whole 'nother level' but said he's coming back after losing about 14 pounds. Sanders previously battled issues with blood clots in his legs and had to miss a Pac-12 Conference media event in Las Vegas because of it in July 2023. Davis Thompson makes three eagles in just eight holes at Rocket Classic
The skies were clear but lightning figuratively struck twice Saturday at Detroit Golf Club as a second golfer in the 2025 Rocket Classic made three eagles in one round. Atlanta native Davis Thompson, 26, became the second golfer in two days to drop three eagles in a single round at the PGA Tour's Rocket Classic in Detroit during Saturday's action. Before Philip Knowles did it Friday in the second round, the feat had never been accomplished during the previous six years of the Rocket. It had only happened once on the PGA Tour in 2025: Chandler Phillips did it in Round 1 at the Players Championship. Thompson's three eagles were even more rare because all three came on the front nine — in his first eight holes. Thompson, who started the day at 8-under, six shots back of the leaders, had his first eagle on the first hole, where he hit a 303-yard drive. His 80-yard wedge fell in for a deuce on the short par-4. He sank a birdie on the par-5 fourth, bogeyed Nos. 5 and 6, and then made back-to-back eagles on the par-5 seventh and short par-4 eighth. No. 7 has been a popular eagle this week, and Thompson took advantage. A 316-yard drive and 234-yard approach shot gave him a 37-foot putt, which he drained to recover from the bogeys. The 352-yard par-4 eighth hole is guarded by sand traps on each side, and though many players have birdied it, Thompson defeated the hole by simply driving the ball 344 yards to 7 feet. He capitalized with his third eagle of the day to climb to 5 under par on the round and 13-under total. He bogeyed the par-3 ninth to shoot a 4-under 32 on the front. Thompson then bounced back with a birdie on the par-4 No. 10. Thompson moved up 32 spots with his performance on the front nine and inside the top 10 as the leaders teed off.
