Our Movie – K-drama Episode 12 Recap, Review & Ending Explained

Episode 12 Episode 12 of Our Movie begins with Da-eum and Je-ha going to the theatre to watch the 'Love in White' remake. Only 2 other people arrive and they find it boring. Da-eum and Je-ha take it in stride and joke. At present, Je-ha and Da-eum decide to focus on the few happy moments that they have. Da-eum shares that she is happy currently and they are inspired to create a new ending. It is open-ended as Gyu-won is dying but we don't actually see her die. She is in Hyun-sang's arms and has the last line which is a message of hope. AD Hong and Seung-won tear up while reading it. Jung-woo wonders if Hyun-sang should cry but Je-ha directs him not to. He believes their love will give him the strength to continue living. Elsewhere, Seo-yeong shares with Da-eum that she has broken up with Jung-woo. She was scared of being alone and ended up hurting everyone around her. Da-eum assures her that she is strong enough to always break out of her loneliness. At the team dinner, AD Hong unwittingly looks after Jun-byoung and everyone teases her. She deflects by bringing attention to Cheol-min and Ms Jo who are getting quite cosy. Kim Hyun-chul confides in Da-eum that his cancer has returned. He wasn't sure what to do, but she taught him how to live. They agree to live each day to the fullest. Dr Lee finally visits the set on the last day of filming and Da-eum is delighted. But she is sad that everything is ending. While she and Je-ha discuss Gyu-won's story, it is clear that they are talking about themselves. They conclude that as long as Hyun-sang loves Gyu-won, she will not be forgotten. Filming of the final scene begins. It is also the last scene of the movie and Da-eum is in Jung-woo's arms. However, both she and Je-ha imagine themselves in the scene. She closes her eyes and sees her mother. She is afraid to let go but her mother comforts her. Mrs Lee claims that she feels every emotion that Da-eum and Dr Lee feel whenever they miss her. Da-eum opens her eyes and it is a wrap. Post production begins and while Je-ha is busy, he makes time for Da-eum. They go on dates and watch movies. She also spends time with Gyu-young who is unable to hold back her tears when they talk about her future. Spring arrives and Da-eum and Je-ha collect cherry blossom petals. She hopes he is as happy as he acts around her. He assures her that he is. It seems that this is the end for her and she doesn't want Je-ha to be sad because of her. We see the rest of the cast and crew. Cheol-min and Ms Jo are dating. AD Hong is working on her script. Agent Go and Seo-yeong are picking her next movie. Gyu-young has resumed working. The 'Love in White' remake has been released. The scene from the beginning of the episode is Je-ha's imagination. In reality, Da-eum has passed away. The theatre is packed and the movie is a hit. Da-eum has also gotten writing credits. Unable to take it, Je-ha leaves and tears up on seeing her poster. A year passes. Jae-in and Gyu-young are friends now. They hang out at Jun-byoung's restaurant. Mrs Kwak boasts about her two daughters – Gyu-young and Da-eum. Seung-won gets deja vu as AD Hong casts a rookie as the female lead. Dr Lee has started watching movies with Je-ha. Kim Hyun-chul has passed away as well. AD Hong's movie is being filmed and the crew is the same as that of the remake. Jung-woo is the lead and Seo-yeong has a cameo as his ex but it is amicable between them. Ms Jo sneaks Cheol-min some snacks but Je-ha steals them while visiting. We learn that he hasn't seen the crew in a year. Seung-won checks on him but Je-ha reveals that he has been writing his next script. He moves back into his family home. AD Hong and Jun-byoung help him out and it seems that the two are dating. Gyu-young sends Da-eum's annotated script of the remake, photos and her camera. There is also a recording just for Je-ha. In it, Da-eum declares that they will see each other again. Whenever he misses her, he just needs to think of her and she will feel it. Soon, Je-ha begins filming his new movie. The male lead (cameo by Kang Hoon) doesn't understand his character's romantic feelings and Je-ha quotes Da-eum on how one just knows when one is in love. At the end of Our Movie Episode 12, we see that Je-ha has taken to recording wherever he goes. He imagines Da-eum approaching him. He misses her and she can feel it. The Episode Review Our Movie Episode 12 is a rollercoaster of emotions, perfect for the rollercoaster ride that is this K-drama. Like the previous episode, it is bittersweet. There are as many fun, witty moments as there are heartwrenching and emotional scenes. The lines between Gyu-won's love story and Da-eum's blur as the two end up experiencing the same kind of love. There are also constant references to the movie in Da-eum and Je-ha's real lives. He continues to love her even after she is gone, and that way, she is not forgotten. Their promise to stay happy is also seen in the narrative as all the characters play their part in living happily in the moment. And while it is quite overdue, the story finally explores Da-eum's thoughts on her fate after her introduction and arguments with Je-ha at the beginning of the show. The imaginary conversation with her mother was quite sweet and we wish we had more of such introspection in the second half of the show. Our Movie – K-drama Episode 8 Recap & Review

Episode 8 Episode 8 of Our Movie begins with a flashforward. Da-eum reimagines a scene in which Seo-yeong's Jung-hwa is confronting Da-eum's Gyu-won and Jung-woo's Hyun-sang in the bookstore. Jung-woo is replaced by Je-ha. Seo-yeong tells Je-ha that he doesn't love Da-eum but just pities her. She then tells Da-eum that she is dying and can't afford to fall in love. At present, Je-ha tries to explain everything. Seo-yeong is upset with the risk he has taken. She realises that he has chosen to love a dying girl instead of her. She asks if someone selfish like him can actually love like that. It is Day 2. Je-ha and Cameraman Cheol-min discuss the perks of shooting a romance. Je-ha can't tell what love is. Cheol-min, ever the hopeless romantic, finds it brave to love. Makeup Artist Jo chimes in that one has to be realistic and cautious. Jun-byoung and Da-eum are discussing her schedule and she lies about her next hospital visit. She feels guilty and tells Je-ha as much, but he lightens the mood. Agent Go arrives with a coffee truck for Da-eum which is awkward for everyone. Seung-won provokes her, Jae-in looks bitter and Seo-yeong finds Go pathetic. Da-eum tries to mediate but fails. Filming begins and it is the bookstore confrontation scene. Da-eum improvises and Seo-yeong's response is cruel. It hits too close to home for Da-eum and a guilty Seo-yeong runs off. Je-ha goes to her but is distant and professional. Seo-yeong calls out his hypocrisy as he is the opposite with Da-eum. Later, Seung-won advises Je-ha to be nice to Seo-yeong since everyone has noticed his favouritism for Da-eum. Next, a nervous Da-eum tries to patch up with Seo-yeong. However, Seo-yeong believes Da-eum is being unfair to the cast and crew. Da-eum begs Seo-yeong to see her desperation to do something worthwhile. But Seo-yeong declares that if Da-eum is going to be selfish, so will she. She goes to her room and finds Agent Go who hints that she needs her. Seo-yeong too misses Go's support but wants their old, sincere dynamic back. After drinking with Seung-won, Je-ha runs into Da-eum. She takes a walk on the beach and he drunkenly chaperones her. She worries about his fight with Seo-yeong and he doesn't understand why. She claims it is because she likes him. She then wonders why he worries for her. Once they get back, Agent Go takes Je-ha aside. She doesn't care about his relationship with Da-eum. However, she warns him not to hurt Seo-yeong again. The next day is an off. Cheol-min and Jo head out for their shopping date. She is intense as usual, as she buys him a jacket to replace his burnt one. She accidentally calls him handsome and gets flustered. Jun-byoung tries to drive Da-eum to the hospital but Je-ha refuses. Knowing that Je-ha hates driving, Jun-byoung thinks it is because he likes Da-eum. Alone, Jun-byoung also feels guilty for taking Da-eum away from a professional manager like Agent Go. He decides to ask for tips from AD Hong. While Da-eum's tests take place, Je-ha hangs out with Dr Kim. The doctor lets it slip that it is her birthday. Je-ha asks if there is a chance of survival and Kim looks sad. Dr Lee joins them and asks about the shoot. He advises Je-ha that when Da-eum smiles the brightest, she is hurting the most. Later, father and daughter have a mini birthday celebration and Dr Lee sadly promises to get her a chocolate cake next year. Coincidentally, Reporter Noh arrives at the hospital but is turned away. As expected, he spots Da-eum and Je-ha and takes their photo. He then sends it to Seung-won. Meanwhile, Da-eum takes Je-ha to her florist friend's shop. It is Eu-nae's memorial and they make a bouquet. They arrive at the cemetery and find Jin-yeo cleaning her plaque. Once the day ends, Je-ha drops Da-eum home, and she asks if he still thinks that there is no love in the original story. He confesses he felt that way out of spite for his father. He tells her about his mother writing the script and thanks Da-eum for helping him figure it out. Before he leaves, he gives her flowers for her birthday. Inside, Gyu-young has a cake for her. Da-eum doesn't make a wish, citing that it has already come true. Gyu-young teases her about the bouquet and doesn't think Da-eum's love for the mystery kisser is one-sided anymore. As for Je-ha, he tries to understand Eu-nae's thought process on writing the romantic dialogues. Everyone returns to the location. Eun-ho approaches Da-eum. He knows that Je-ha and Da-eum like each other, having watched them the last few days. She reveals that she knows Je-ha likes her but it is complicated. Eun-ho is happy for her and respectfully backs down. At the end of Our Movie Episode 8, Da-eum calls Je-ha. She wants to see the sunset with him but he needs to run to make it. He runs from the hotel to the beach and hopes he is not too late. He finally confesses that he wants to deny his feelings and isn't sure if he should even like her. But he does. They kiss. The Episode Review Our Movie Episode 8 seems to be doing its best to focus on Je-ha's redemption arc. But with only 4 episodes left, will it be enough to bury his past selfish actions? All signs point to yes since we get a glimpse of the ending in the very first chapter itself. Flashforwards show the movie being made, Je-ha and Da-eum being in a loving relationship and then Je-ha continuing to visit their couple spots after her death. Looks like they are able to overcome the rumours together. This chapter also brings back the stylistic treatment which had awed all viewers in the beginning. A dreamy, white atmosphere surrounds our couple when they are at the flower shop, along with the usual philosophical discourse on love and death. The late-night beach walk looks romantic from the couple's POV while the same scene looks mundane from Eun-ho's eyes. The sunset kiss involves all the typical K-drama kiss tropes, from soft, romantic music to a light breeze and slow motion. The black and white scene changing to colour when Je-ha runs symbolizes him finally taking the risks that make life worth living. But Namkoong's portrayal continues to irk viewers, given it has been 8 episodes and there is no change to his cold 'tsundere' demeanour despite his character growing. Hopefully, next weekend may be better for Je-ha. We are also quite disappointed with the direction Seo-yeong's characterization has taken. She is far from the supportive mentor we thought she would be to Da-eum. Instead, it looks like Agent Go has changed her mind and has decided to back Seo-yeong again, but by putting down Da-eum. And with Da-eum being the innocent, childish girl whose existence is to teach the callous Je-ha how to be human, this show isn't doing any favours to its female characters. Our Movie – K-drama Episode 7 Recap & Review

Episode 7 Episode 7 of Our Movie begins with a scene in the 'Love in White' remake. Da-eum's Gyu-won is trying to convince Jung-woo's Hyun-sang that he loves her. Je-ha reimagines it with him in the scene. He accepts that he may feel for Da-eum but he doesn't think it is love. He is not worthy of love. At present. Seo-yeong pushes Da-eum for an answer. Eun-ho pops up and the women claim they are rehearsing. Eun-ho offers to drive Da-eum home. Nearby, Seung-won taunts Je-ha about his relationship with Da-eum and threatens to turn it into a scandal. Je-ha simply claims that he is a director hanging out with his actor. They run into Eun-ho taking Da-eum home and Seung-won simply smirks as Je-ha looks jealous. However, Da-eum takes the cab alone. At home, Da-eum confides in Gyu-young that she doesn't feel any spark for Eun-ho anymore. Gyu-young teases her with her mystery kisser and Da-eum gets flustered. During a meeting, Je-ha groups Da-eum's scenes and tightens her schedule. AD Hong finds it unfair but Seung-won supports the move even though he uses it to take a shot at Da-eum. Elsewhere, Agent Go meets with Reporter Noh to find dirt on Da-eum. An annoyed Seo-yeong claims this isn't the way to win Da-eum over but Go doesn't care. Je-ha and Da-eum are about to meet when Eun-ho asks her out for a meal. She brings him along to her lunch with Je-ha and it is awkward. Afterwards, Eun-ho tries to ask her out properly but she runs off. She goes back to Je-ha and takes him to see a movie. She wants him to take breaks during his busy schedule and he thanks her. They start daydreaming and laughing about their movie's press junkets and the award season. She comments that she is happy with their current dynamic but it isn't wholly true. Alone, Je-ha decides to visit Jin-yeo. He finally asks her to explain the plagiarism fiasco. She poses the question of why 'Love in White' was his father's last film. She also reveals that she wasn't his mistress or his muse. Reporter Noh goes to Hankuk University and asks about Da-eum. He then visits Gyu-young but she runs off. He tells Go that everyone around Da-eum is evasive and that he is going to visit Dr Lee next. It is Day 1 of filming. Da-eum has fun as she records the prep. Je-ha is nervous and she goofs around to distract him. Jae-in comes across Eun-ho and tries to ask about Da-eum but he deflects. Investor Han arrives and claims he is there to learn filmmaking. Eun-ho is setting up the camera nearby and observes Da-eum's interactions. She helps AD Hong with the IV props. Jae-in is playing her nurse and is rude to her as usual. And Makeup Artist Jo cheers her up. Before the take, Je-ha helps her relax, advising her to think like Gyu-won. Seeing the realistic set which reminds her of her own hospital room, Da-eum is able to get into the mood. Each scene is quite similar to Da-eum's own experiences. With Je-ha's direction and tips from the cast and crew, she is able to do well. Investor Han jokingly asks if she is actually sick since her acting is too realistic. At this, Seung-won looks suspicious. During lunch break, both Eun-ho and Je-ha try to sit with Da-eum. She welcomes them both while Jae-in watches with envy. Her camera glitches and Eun-ho offers to help fix it. He finds several recordings of Je-ha. He doubles up on his wooing efforts and decides to call her after the shooting is complete. Later, Je-ha hangs out with Hyun-chul, the veteran actor playing Gyu-won's father. Turns out, he is the hero in the original movie. They talk about it and Hyun-chul reveals that Jin-yeo was always curious about Je-ha. And that Du-young would often talk about his wife. Ms Jo apologises to Cameraman Cheol-min for her drunken antics which amuses him. She wants to buy him a jacket for burning his last one and he turns it into a date. After Day 1's wrap, Jae-in joins Eun-ho and a couple of crew members in the hotel lobby. We learn that she is an influencer while Eun-ho is leaving after this schedule. She brings up Da-eum and Je-ha's relationship and Eun-ho stops her. By the pool, Jun-byoung finds Agent Hong working. She tries to shoo him away but he shares his umbrella as it starts raining. She seems to warm up to him as he jokes around. Je-ha is going to see Da-eum for the next scenes. He overhears Eun-ho scolding Jae-in for spreading rumours such as Da-eum sleeping with Je-ha to get the role. She wonders if he likes Da-eum and he says yes. Je-ha recalls all the people asking about his relationship with Da-eum. He wonders if he can accept them as surely as Eun-ho. At the end of Our Movie Episode 7, Seo-yeong shows up in Da-eum's hotel room. She tries to take a 'prop' pill and Da-eum instantly stops her. This pretty much confirms Seo-yeong's suspicions. On cue, Je-ha shows up. Having had enough, Seo-yeong demands answers. She points out that she has constantly helped cover Da-eum's secret; they owe her. Da-eum finally confesses that she has 4 months left. The Episode Review After the last few episodes which didn't do any favours to Jeon Yeon-been and Namkoong Min's characters, Our Movie Episode 7 seems to be getting the show slightly back on track by focusing on the plot. The shooting has begun, scandalous rumours are abound, Da-eum's secret is revealed, and the antagonists are doing their best to ruin the heroine. There is a love pentagon involving almost every major character. The supporting characters, like the crew members, are getting their own little love stories as well. All of this is enough to keep the viewers watching at least this weekend's episodes. However, the characterizations of Je-ha, Seo-yeong and Seung-won are still all over the place. The K-drama probably wants to keep them vague to add a sense of suspense. But since this is the second half of the show, we should have been able to get a clear read on them by now, like the way Da-eum feels like a complete individual. Seung-won genuinely supports Je-ha but Seo Hyun-Woo constantly plays him as the shady and selfish producer. The same goes for Lee Seol whose Seo-yeong seems to flout the 'women-beware-women' trope, yet she provides the most challenges to Da-eum. As for Je-ha, it is not looking good for him. He is finally starting to accept his feelings and this should be his redemption arc. Yet Namkoong plays him as cold and selfish, acting jealous and clingy even though he knows about the rumours. Da-eum's talent that Je-ha values so much is being questioned because she is being accused of sleeping to the top. And now he knows how dangerous rumours can be after learning that the rumour of Du-young and Jin-yeo's affair is false. Eun-ho says the same. So, why is Je-ha ruining Da-eum's reputation if he has already declared that he won't cross the line between them? Our Movie – K-drama Episode 3 Recap & Review

Episode 3 Episode 3 of Our Movie begins with a flashback to the audition for Je-ha's debut film, 'The Lonely People'. Da-eum auditions is the #1 contender. She backs out and Je-ha goes with Seo-yeong. Turns out, Da-eum is being admitted to the hospital. At present, Je-ha updates Da-eum that she has got the part. She crashes at her friend, Kwak Gyo-young's place and Mrs Kwak secretly keeps Da-eum's father, Dr Lee, in the loop. Jung-woo's agent claims that Seo-yeong has got the lead role but warns him not to create a scandal. Seung-won has actually leaked to the press that Seo-yeong is in talks for the lead. Da-eum is upset and Je-ha comforts her. She insists on a written agreement and mentions that she won't back off this time. The last bit piques Je-ha's curiosity. Looks like he doesn't remember her 'The Lonely People' audition. His conditions are that she cannot die before completion, and her illness has to be a secret. He will be cancelled for exploiting a sick person for the sake of realism. As for Da-eum, her condition is that he cannot ruin the movie. She disagrees with him for taking out the love angle from the remake. She believes the male lead loves the female lead despite leaving her to her fate. Je-ha disagrees as he hates his father for leaving for a shoot even though his mother had gotten sicker. But they sign the agreement. Je-ha is surprised when Seo-yeong prefers Jung-hwa, the self-absorbed second lead. She does wonder if the character is based on her. To counter Seung-won's article, she tells the press that she is playing the supporting character which angers Agent Go. As for Seung-won, he too is against the creative decision of taking out the love angle. He reasons that people want fantasy, not realism. Je-ha replies that they will watch for the lead actress. Da-eum and Gyo-young celebrate her getting the role by recording her rehearsing. Dr Lee watches from afar and panics when Da-eum 'pretend' falls. She shares the happy news with him but her smile falls when he disapproves. He claims the stress will shorten her life span and is shocked when she prefers it to living a long, sad life. There is an investor meeting and they question the casting. Je-ha spins it as a rookie replacing a superstar for a coveted role, yet said superstar is in the movie. He confidently claims that Han can pull the funding if he doesn't like the test shoot. On top of that, Je-ha wants all the top crew which has Seung-won panicking. The cinematographer, Cheol-min doesn't like the script as it is too dark. Je-ha shows him the storyboard which is super artsy and Cheol-min is convinced. His schedule is tight but Je-ha is fine with it as he reveals that the remake is on a tight schedule as well. Seo-yeong and Da-eum meet and they recognise each other. They get along quite well but are interrupted by Agent Go. While she scolds Seo-yeong for going behind her back, Da-eum hides as she gets a seizure. Seo-yeong puts Go in her place and searches for Da-eum. She finds and rushes her to the hospital. Da-eum begs her not to tell anyone and Seo-yeong is curious. Dr Kim warns Da-eum of the danger but she is not deterred. She spots Je-ha and happily goes to him while Dr Kim watches sadly. Seo-yeong and Da-eum resume their rehearsal and the latter is awkward. However, Seo-yeong assures Da-eum that she will keep her secret. Gyo-young is cleaning up when she finds the funeral director's card. She looks upset but she cheers Da-eum up when she looks nervous. It is D-Day. Seo-yeong wants to ask Je-ha if he knows about the seizure but drops it. The shoot begins and Da-eum does well. Seung-won comments on the ultimatum and Da-eum is upset that the remake is in jeopardy because of her casting. Je-ha assures her that he is equally responsible. During post-production, everyone is in awe of Da-eum's realistic acting. The investors are convinced and the movie is a go. Da-eum is so happy by the news that she hugs and shakes Je-ha around. He is amused while she is embarrassed. She recalls that a location hasn't been decided, where the lead changes her mind and wants to live. She takes Je-ha to the hospital sky bridge and explains that seeing the world from there is like trying to outrun death. She lets it slip that she was planning her death before the remake gave her purpose. He pats her head before stopping himself. She quickly lightens the mood. Seo-yeong's market value drops following the casting news. Tired of her stubbornness, Agent Go decides to sign on Da-eum. She is annoyed when Da-eum refuses and thinks Je-ha is behind it. She warns Da-eum not to trust him. At the end of Our Movie Episode 3, Da-eum spots Seo-yeong kissing Je-ha. The Episode Review Our Movie Episode 3 puts the fatalistic, depressing melodrama on the back burner to focus on the movie-making drama. Yet this chapter retains the same intense and introspective tone. Just like Da-eum wants, it shows that her life is not all doom and gloom. There's the usual past connection trope with Da-eum being chosen for Je-ha's debut before she backs down. Her friendship with Seo-yeong is surprising and also pretty refreshing. While everyone expects them to be rivals, they end up being each other's support system. Sure, that kiss is going to throw their camaraderie off but we can't wait to see how they react to it in the next episode. With the characters subverting most clichéd tropes, it keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. But we do wonder, if there isn't a single bad guy, can Da-eum's illness keep the show's conflict alive for the remaining episodes? Our Movie – K-drama Episode 2 Recap & Review

Episode 2 Episode 2 of Our Movie begins with a flashback. Da-eum is an extra at a shoot but she has an attack and ruins the take. A montage shows Da-eum's mother who is terminally ill and her father, a doctor who works day and night to find a cure. Mrs. Lee is the one who introduces the handycam and pretends her IV drip is grape juice. She dies and Dr Lee is heartbroken to learn that her illness is genetic; it has been passed onto Da-eum. In school, Da-eum auditions for a play on Frida Kahlo and embraces the applause. She narrates that her life is too short, so she wants to live as many lives as she can as an actress. She also tries not to live in fear but knows that she can die any day. She recognises Je-ha at the restaurant and learns of the remake when she Googles him. She decides to rewatch the original as she loves it and that's how she runs into him at the cinema. She then sees the remake's script at Dr Kim's and begs him to get her an in. At present, Je-ha and Da-eum begin their session. He believes that epic love is a trick to which she disagrees. She claims that hope for love gives her the strength to stay alive. She also confesses that the funeral reignited her fear of dying. She wonders if he knows what suffocating by fear feels like and he recalls his sick mother. In the original's end, the female lead lives. The female lead dies in the remake and Da-eum realises that this is her chance to star in a movie that is pretty much her story. As for Je-ha, he is inspired and gives the female lead, Gyu-won, a strong will to live. Seung-won pushes for Seo-yeong as the lead but Je-ha believes she suits the supporting character, Jung-hwa. However, Seung-won reveals that the investors and Agent Go will only agree to the main lead which means it is already decided. They simply hold auditions for the optics. As expected, all the applicants are over the top. Da-eum shows up with a subdued performance that wins over everyone. She runs off right when the male lead, Jung-woo, arrives. We learn that he was the lead in Je-ha's first film, 'The Lonely People'. Je-ha goes after Da-eum as he is conflicted. He points out that she could die in the middle of production but she claims it would help the remake go viral. He is uncomfortable about using her in such a manner. She tries to convince him that she is the perfect Gyu-won. He is her only chance to become an actor and she doesn't want to die with regrets. Meanwhile, Agent Go signs Seo-yeong for a Hollywood film. Seung-won is at his wits' end and decides to keep Da-eum as an understudy in case they cannot convince Seo-yeong. But he is in luck as Jung-woo and Seo-yeong want to do the remake together. In fact, she forces Agent Go to accept the project. Go gives in but is furious when Je-ha offers the supporting role. She calls him out for abandoning Seo-yeong when she needed him. A flashback shows a news outlet spotting Je-ha and Seo-yeong together. To save her from potential backlash, Je-ha declares that they are not dating and breaks up with her. Seo-yeong, who is ready to go public with him, is heartbroken. At present, Je-ha cannot stop thinking about Da-eum and feels like her life is in his hands. The AD also reveals that Gyu-won feels hollow and they need to give her ambition apart from saving the suicidal male lead, Hyun-sang. Je-ha consults Da-eum again and she reveals that her dream is to make movies so her loved ones can watch them when they miss her. She once again pitches for herself and claims she knows what it is to live every moment. She visits her dad next and requests to be an outpatient. Since she had that attack, he has refused every time and refuses again. She points out that her mother died alone in the hospital and she doesn't want that. Back to Je-ha, he meets with Investor Han and promises a hit remake. But Han doesn't care about the film. He wants to sell the story behind the film – Du-young made the original with his alleged mistress and the world saw it as a tribute to his dead wife. And the remake is now being made by his son. It cuts to Da-eum passing Round 1 of the auditions. She celebrates with her friend and runs away from the hospital. Round 2 is an interview with Je-ha. He asks what drove Da-eum to be an actress. Her mother never found her dream and neither did she. While searching for it, she reached where she did. Je-ha can relate as that is how his mother ended up writing the 'Love in White' script. At the end of Our Movie Episode 2, Da-eum brightly tells Je-ha to put his faith in her. In return, all he wants from her is not to die. The Episode Review Our Movie Episode 2 is another strong chapter and we have a feeling that this just may be one of the best melodramas of the year. Yes, we might be getting ahead of ourselves but this K-drama has set up a pretty strong foundation. The dialogues are philosophical and inspirational but not too dull and didactic. The drama is heartwrenching when focusing on Da-eum's desperation but exciting and spicy when it shifts to the movie-making, such as Seo-yeong's back story and Investor Han's motives. The camerawork is stunning and each shot feels like a representative of the corresponding character's mindset. Jeon Yeo-been brings Da-eum's regrets and dreams to the forefront, allowing viewers to walk alongside her and empathise with her. And then there is Namkoong Min, who is tapping into a whole new persona that we haven't seen so far. His Je-ha is blunt and seems to judge a book by the cover. He is flawed and pretty stubborn about sticking to his views. But what makes him so endearing is how he is constantly flustered by Da-eum, who slowly peels down his walls without anyone realising. If Our Movie hadn't been a tragic melodrama, Je-ha and Da-eum's dynamic would have been perfect for a 'sunshine and grumpy sunshine protector' trope in a rom-com.
