Jeremy Clarkson says he's 'done' and makes major decision after pub struggles

Clarkson's Farm and former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson has documented his journey when it comes to his farm and now he is giving an insight into his pub business Jeremy Clarkson says he's "done" after struggling with his pub venture. The TV star has said that he won't be taking on any more entrepreneurial ventures after his pub due to not understanding the business behind it. The Grand Tour star took on the new business venture in July 2024 when he bought the pub in Asthall. He decided to take on the challenge after being successful with his 1000-acre Diddly Squat farm and accompanying shop. ‌ Jeremy features the purchase of the pub in the latest series of Clarkson's Farm but says he won't be doing it again. The pub is called The Farmer's Dog and has attracted people from around the country to go and visit – with many taking to social media to issues reviews. ‌ READ MORE: This Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader-approved setting spray will keep your make-up in place this heatwave In an interview with The Times, Jeremy said: "I'm done with business now. I am not starting another business as long as I live. I don't understand it and am not motivated by money. I just want a good craic." The former Top Gear host has been showing his pub landlord journey during his series and he has also revealed the funny reason why he chose to name the pub The Farmer's Dog. In the fourth episode, Jeremy can be seen reading through documentation about handling the pub's purchase and this is when he finds out that the surrounding Oxfordshire area is regularly visited by people who enjoy having sex in public spaces. Jeremy finds that the pub's garden area is designated by the council as "a picnic site". Clarkson then called his lawyer to explain the situation and he was told that the site previously attracted some "unwanted and anti-social behaviour" that "might put you off eating your picnic". The lawyer said: "We have happened upon some quite interesting photographs which capture certain graffiti and certain goings-on." ‌ Clarkson then visited the area himself and found that it was still going on as he found underwear thrown in trees. He first talked about the dogging rumours when he shared a post to his Instagram page. He stood outside of the pub as he held up a stick with a pair of black and pink knickers hanging off the end. He wrote: "Tell me you bought a pub on a dogging site without telling me you bought a pub on a dogging site." The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? presenter also had a serious health scare that saw him rushed to hospital recently. He underwent surgery upon finding one artery was completely blocked and another nearly, after waking up one morning feeling "clammy", with chest tightness and odd sensations in his arm. Following his health scare, Jeremy has had to make some "horrific" changes to his lifestyle, including exercising, cutting down on alcohol, and changing his diet, all of which means he's "not allowed to have fun anymore".

Jeremy Allen White 'felt under pressure playing Bruce Springsteen'

Jeremy Allen White has felt the "pressure" playing Bruce Springsteen in Deliver Me From Nowhere. The 34-year-old actor plays the music icon in the upcoming biopic film, and Jeremy has admitted to feeling under pressure before the first trailer was released. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actor explained: "Getting that out, it was so much pressure. "You're playing a real person — nevermind Bruce Springsteen — and I was really touched [when] the trailer came out. I had more texts than when I blacked out and won that Golden Globe [for The Bear]." Jeremy admitted to being surprised by the level of interest in the trailer. The actor - who also played Phillip 'Lip' Gallagher in Shameless, the hit comedy-drama series, from 2011 until 2021 - said: "I didn't realise trailers were that big of a thing." Earlier this month, Bruce observed that Jeremy was "very tolerant" of him on the set of the biopic. The rock legend revealed that Jeremy was gracious during his visits to the film's set. Springsteen, 75 - who is one of the best-selling artists of all time - told Rolling Stone magazine: "Jeremy Allen White was very, very tolerant of me the days that I would appear on the set. "I said to him, 'Look, anytime I'm in the way, just give me the look and I'm on my way home.' So the days that I got out there, he was wonderfully tolerant with me being there. And it was just fun. It was enjoyable." The new movie explores "some of the most painful days" of Springsteen's life. And the chart-topping star actually made a conscious effort to avoid the film's set on certain days. He explained: "I mean, there's some unusualness to it because the movie involves, in some ways, some of the most painful days of my life. "If there was a scene coming up that was sometimes really deeply personal, I wanted the actors to feel completely free, and I didn't want to get in the way, and so I would just stay at home."

Jeremy Clarkson sends foul-mouthed response to David Beckham's text message

Jeremy Clarkson has told how he received an 'outrageous' text message from Sir David Beckham and made sure to give the former England captain a piece of his mind Jeremy Clarkson reacted angrily with a stern warning, saying "you better f***ing not," in response to a message from Sir David Beckham. The former Top Gear presenter had initially reached out to congratulate David on being chosen as a guest editor for Country Life magazine. Since retiring from football, the 50-year-old former England star has adopted a rural lifestyle in Oxfordshire, developing a passion for beekeeping and growing his own vegetables. ‌ However, after Jeremy congratulated David on his upcoming guest editor role, their friendly exchange took a turn. Speaking to The Times, Jeremy, 65, revealed: "I said congratulations and he replied, 'Thanks for your message; not official yet, but if it happens I'll have a nice pint of Stella.'" ‌ Jeremy, who has also embraced rural life at his Diddly Squat Farm, took umbrage with David's choice of celebratory drink, given his own brewery, Hawkstone, which he launched with business partner John Hornby in 2021. He has since expanded his venture by purchasing a nearby pub, now known as The Farmer's Dog. In response to David's mention of Stella, Jeremy shot back: "You had better f***ing not," reports Gloucestershire Live. He added: "If he is going to drink anything that's not Hawkstone, it should be Beck's." John quizzed whether the 115-cap footballer is "from a long line of Belgian farmers," casting doubt over his choice of a Danish lager. David Beckham, fresh from receiving his knighthood, is set to guest edit an upcoming issue of Country Life magazine, where he will share his favourite recipes, craftspeople, and rural champions. ‌ Speaking about the opportunity, Beckham expressed his enthusiasm: "I am honoured to have been invited to guest edit an edition of a magazine that I have always admired and read." He's eager to work with the editorial team: "I am really looking forward to working with the editorial team to produce an issue that will celebrate what the countryside and the great British landscape means to me and my family." Nestled in Oxfordshire, Beckham lives near Jeremy Clarkson and has been a regular at the Diddly Squat Farm Shop, much to the delight of local staff and customers. Lisa Hogan, Jeremy Clarkson's partner, disclosed how Beckham would brighten up Sundays for the shop girls, popping in to grab milk with his daughter Harper: "He comes in every Sunday with his daughter to get the milk." Gerald Cooper, known for his role on Clarkson's Farm alongside Kaleb Cooper, has even shared a moment with Beckham, with a photo of them together gaining viral attention after Jeremy posted it, captioned simply: "Gerald. And another man."
