Michael Clifford Enlists Porter Robinson For New Single ‘Kill Me For Always'

Michael Clifford has continued the rollout of his freshly-minted solo career with the release of his third single, 'Kill Me For Always'. The follow-up to his Waterparks collaboration 'Give Me A Break!' from last month sees him working with another American act – this time producer and singer Porter Robinson, marking the first time that the pair have worked together on a song. 'Kill For Me Always' also serves as the opening track to Clifford's forthcoming debut solo album, Sidequest. In a press statement, Clifford noted that Robinson had been his 'favourite artist for a really long time'. 'The idea of us creating something together was just a pipe dream to me,' he said. 'Kill Me For Always' was a song that took a lot of trial and error to get this song 100% right. As the first track off my upcoming album, I think it perfectly sets the tone of the beginning of a story.' A lyric video for the single has also been shared, with animation by Conor Murphy and artwork by Audrey Mai. Sidequest is set for release on Friday, July 25th via Hopeless Records. It will mark the third solo album from a member of 5 Seconds Of Summer to be released in the last 12 months, with drummer Ashton Irwin sharing his second solo effort Blood On The Drums in July 2024 and bassist Calum Hood releasing his solo debut Order Chaos Order earlier this month. The latter album debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart, becoming the second 5SOS alum to do so following frontman Luke Hemmings doing so in 2021 with When Facing The Things We Turn Away From. Robinson, meanwhile, toured Australia back in March in support of his third studio album, SMILE! . While in the country, he and his band visited the triple j studios to participate in Like A Version – where they covered Fontaines D.C.'s 2024 single 'Favourite', as well as performing his song 'Cheerleader'. He is set to conclude a North American DJ tour in Toronto next month. 5SOS' Ashton Irwin: 'There's A Different Type Of Masculinity In Australia That Really Crippled My Physical Identity' Porter Robinson & Madeon On The Beauty Of Being On Stage Together & The Influence Of Japanese Culture On Their Music 5SOS On The 'Lightness' Of 'CALM', Learning To Understand Each Other & Why This Album Is For The Fans The post Michael Clifford Enlists Porter Robinson For New Single 'Kill Me For Always' appeared first on Music Feeds.

These are the horrifying hidden signs of a coercive or abusive relationship - and the actions you must take to save loved ones or yourself: DR MAX PEMBERTON

In July 2024, former soldier Kyle Clifford broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend Louise Hunt, stabbed her mother Carol – the wife of BBC racing commentator John Hunt – then killed his daughters Louise and Hannah with a crossbow. It's hard to imagine the pain Mr Hunt must feel after most of his family were murdered. But last week he gave a deeply moving interview about the grief of losing his wife and two of his daughters.

‘People thought I was going to die': Da L.E.S opens up about life-changing stroke

Da L.E.S suffered a stroke on his birthday in July 2024, spent a month unconscious in hospital, and is now sharing his recovery journey to inspire others facing health challenges. After months of family updates, the rapper personally gave an update via YouTube, showing hospital footage and the rehabilitation process while crediting God for his survival. Da L.E.S. views his survival as bigger than himself, dedicating his healing journey to motivating others and proving that life-altering events 'can happen to anybody.' Rapper and Love & Hip Hop SA star Leslie Mampe, popularly known as Da L.E.S, has broken his silence about the stroke that nearly claimed his life in July 2024, sharing an intimate glimpse into his recovery journey. In a heartfelt video posted on his YouTube channel, Da L.E.S Network, the rapper opened up about his month-long hospital stay and ongoing rehabilitation, marking his first public appearance since the life-altering event. 'I suffered a stroke. People thought I was going to die. I made it. I think right now, it's just to motivate people. People want to know what's wrong with me. I want to help people because shit is real; it can happen to anybody.' 'One minute, you're cool; you're like me; next minute, you experience the worst. I feel like my life has changed, but it ain't the end. This is bigger - I have to do this in my life. I just want to document my life,' Da L.E.S revealed in the emotional video.' The rapper then detailed the traumatic timeline of events: 'So what happened was I had a stroke, it happened on my birthday, and I woke up a month later. Now, I'm just going with the flow,' he said. He said a stroke is not something one can control. 'I'm just lucky to be alive. Shout out to all the people that came out. I feel good. I feel happy that I'm still here, but the whole purpose of me filming is to let y'all into my life in a real way, I think, and also just to inspire.' When Da L.E.S initially missed his birthday celebration in July, his family kept details private, posting a brief statement on his Instagram: 'Due to unforeseen circumstances, Da L.E.S will unfortunately not be in attendance at his birthday celebration this evening. Thank you for understanding.' As concerns grew, the Mampe family issued a more comprehensive statement revealing the severity of his condition: 'Whilst he is in a stable condition, this remains a challenging time for his loved ones, and his family call on the public to keep him in their thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult period,' the family said, promising to share updates on Da L.E.S' condition as they became available. A subsequent update on his Instagram account provided encouraging news about his progress: 'He is receiving rehabilitation and is taking things slow with the support of his loving family.' Throughout his recovery journey, Da L.E.S has maintained deep gratitude for his survival, crediting his faith above all else. 'I owe it all to God,' he shared, describing his survival as nothing short of miraculous. The family's most recent statement reflects the overwhelming support the rapper has received during this difficult period: 'Da L.E.S is incredibly thankful for the outpouring of love, support and prayers from his fans, friends, and everyone who's reached out. He will continue to update everyone on his healing process and appreciates all the continued encouragement. Healing takes time, but he's staying positive and focused on full recovery.'

Star-Lord's last feature-length adventure was two hours and 30 minutes, but since then the MCU's big-screen offerings have erred on the slightly shorter side. Thunderbolts*, which hit theaters earlier this month, clocks in at two hours and six minutes, while Captain America: Brave New World, which was released this past February, was an hour and 58 minutes. Last year's Deadpool and Wolverine was two hours and eight minutes and 2023's The Marvels was only an hour and 45 minutes. Fantastic Four will see Marvel's First Family make their MCU debut. Pedro Pascal is Reed Richards and Vanessa Kirby is Sue Storm, while Joseph Quinn is Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach is Ben Grimm, AKA the Thing. They're up against big bad Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson, and his herald the Silver Surfer (Julia Garner), who are intent on devouring the Fantastic Four's world. The movie's cast also includes John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Paul Walter Hauser, and WandaVision's Matt Shakman is in the director's chair. The Fantastic Four: First Steps arrives in theaters on July 25. In the meantime, get up to speed with our guide to all the other upcoming superhero movies on the way in 2025 and beyond.

Krispy Kreme, McDonald's End Partnership, Citing Profitability Concerns

Krispy Kreme and McDonald's announced an end to their partnership on Tuesday, just over a year after it was announced. McDonald's said the collaboration met its standards, but the doughnut maker said it became "unsustainable" to grow the partnership profitably. Krispy Kreme said last month that it would stop expanding to new McDonald's Kreme (DNUT) and McDonald's (MCD) on Tuesday announced an end to their partnership, effective July 2, as the doughnut maker said it was unable to continue scaling it profitably. Krispy Kreme CEO Josh Charlesworth said that after expanding to some 2,400 McDonald's locations, the company's "efforts to bring our costs in line with unit demand were unsuccessful, making the partnership unsustainable for us." "We had strong collaboration with Krispy Kreme and they delivered a great, high-quality product for us, and while the partnership met our expectations for McDonald's and Owner/Operators, this needed to be a profitable business model for Krispy Kreme as well," McDonald's USA Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer Alyssa Buetikofer said. Krispy Kreme said it would shift its focus to its "two largest opportunities: profitable U.S. expansion through high-volume retail points of distribution and capital-light international franchise growth." The companies said in March 2024 that they planned to make Krispy Kreme doughnuts available in every McDonald's location in the U.S. by the end of 2026. However, Krispy Kreme said in its first-quarter earnings release last month that it planned to stop bringing its products to more McDonald's "while it works to achieve a profitable business model for all parties." McDonald's and Krispy Kreme shares were little changed soon after markets opened Tuesday.
