Former Pink Floyd member Roger Waters faces possible prosecution after supporting banned Palestine Action
Former Pink Floyd songwriter Roger Waters could face prosecution after declaring his support for Palestine Action, a terrorist organization that has been banned by Parliament in the U.K. Waters posted a video to X on Saturday, in which the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame inductee praised Palestine Action as a "great organization," while also giving kudos to Bob Vylan, who led the Glastonbury Festival crowd in a chant, shouting, "Death, death to the IDF." Waters said in his video that he was in his studio and was working on a piece of brown cardboard with a Sharpie. He then switched the camera from his face to the cardboard. "I declare my independence from the government of the U.K., who've just designated Palestine Action a terrorist, proscribed terrorist organization." Waters said he supports Palestine Action, calling it a "great organization," and noting that they are "nonviolent" and "absolutely not terrorists in any way." "They're a nonviolent protest organization protesting the presence in the U.K. of Elbit Systems, who are an Israeli arms manufacturing organization," he said. "All right. So, that's that. I support Palestine Action, and I always will because that is the right thing to do." Reuters reported that last week, the U.K. government moved to ban Palestine Action under anti-terrorism laws after its activists broke into a Royal Air Force base and damaged two planes in protest of what the organization called Britain's support for Israel. Under U.K. law, offenses include things like inviting support, expressing approval or displaying symbols of a banned group, and violations are punishable by up to 14 years behind bars and/or a fine. There are currently 81 groups listed under anti-terrorism laws in Britain, including al-Qaeda, ISIS and Hamas. Parliament's Minister of State, Sir David Hanson, said after the amendment's approval that Palestine Action released an "undercover manual" that encourages its members to create small groups and provides guidance about how to conduct activity against private companies and government buildings. Hanson also said the manual explains how to operate covertly and evade arrest. "By implementing this measure, we will remove Palestine Action's veil of legitimacy, tackle its financial support and degrade its efforts to recruit and radicalise people into committing terrorist activity in its name," he added. The Campaign Against Antisemitism, which, according to the group's site, is a "volunteer-led charity dedicated to exposing and countering antisemitism through education and zero-tolerance enforcement of law," shared Waters' video on X shortly after it was posted by the former Pink Floyd member. The group said it reviewed the post, adding that anyone who expresses support for it, contrary to the Terrorism Act 2000, is committing a criminal offense. They also said they stand ready to privately prosecute offenders when authorities fail to act. A spokesperson for Campaign Against Antisemitism told Fox News Digital, "The suggestion that the Jewish state wields excessive political influence is a breach of the International Definition of Antisemitism." "Roger Waters has a long history of promoting dangerous conspiratorial tropes," the spokesperson said. "His declaration of support for Palestine Action, now a banned organisation, is his most legally provocative move yet. We expect the police to take action, and if they do not then we will." Porsche 911 GT3 RS and BMW M2 Collide in Fiery Nürburgring Crash

A spectacular crash at the Nürburgring Nordschleife over the weekend resulted in the destruction of a Porsche 911 GT3 RS and a BMW M2. The Internet is divided over who is at fault, but there's much less room for debate over how lucky the drivers were, as they reportedly escaped without serious injury. A dramatic video posted on the r/BMW subreddit shows the crash, which reportedly took place during a Touristenfahrten session on Saturday, July 5, from multiple points of view. The video begins with footage from inside the Porsche; from this view, you can clearly see the GT3 RS going for a pass of the BMW when the M2 drifts back into the Porsche and sends both cars into the barriers. A view from a track camera offers a different perspective of the crash. We see the cars approaching a turn when they make contact; the GT3 RS goes nose first into a barrier and the BMW strikes the Porsche in the rear. The result is a massive fireball, and the Porsche is thrown into the air. The rest of the video shows the aftermath of the crash. Parts are strewn everywhere: a Porsche brake assembly is sitting on the opposite side of the track from where the car came to rest; the entire front of the car has been torn off, as well as the rear wing. The BMW didn't fare much better — the car, which came to rest on the shoulder, has been completely obliterated. Another video posted on Tik Tok by @bajtekmedia shows more of what came after the crash. The metal barrier at the point of impact is ripped apart and still on fire, and the catastrophic damage to the Porsche and BMW evident. However, one thing that stands out: despite the damage to both cars, their passenger cells are largely intact. The videos are making the rounds on social media, and users are divided over who is at fault for the crash. (As one member of the Road & Track team pointed out, the M2 is of British registry, suggesting the car may have been right-hand-drive and its driver potentially less familiar with the German track.) The blame game will likely continue, especially if insurance gets involved. On top of losing their cars, the track is also likely to send the drivers a bill for the damage caused by the crash. The financial pain is likely to be significant, but both drivers should still consider themselves extremely lucky. Cleveland baseball legend Larry Doby remembered 78 years after groundbreaking achievement
Larry Doby broke the American League's color barrier 78 years ago today, on July 5, 1947. It was just a few months after Jackie Robinson first took the field for the Brooklyn Dodgers in the National League. Advertisement Playing for the Cleveland Indians, the outfielder Doby visited each AL city as the first Black man to ever play in games at those stadiums, in an era well before inter-league play. Doby's national legacy is a bit muted because Robinson was first to MLB, but Doby surely endured many of the same stresses and hate that Robinson did. Along the way, Doby was one of the best players in baseball. He didn't join Cleveland until he had played four seasons in the Negro Leagues and also served in the Navy in World War II. Even with the late start, Doby made nine All-Star Games and won two World Series. He's a Hall of Famer. Advertisement He batted .288 in his career. That included 273 home runs, 1,099 RBI and 1,697 hits. Late in his career, Doby also suited up for the White Sox and Tigers. His decade in Cleveland is where he was a baseball trailblazer, and a superstar. And on Larry Doby Day, July 5th every year, Doby is remembered, maybe not on as quite as wide a scale of Robinson, but deserving every bit of a legendary legacy in his own right.
