Both footwear silhouettes marry both old and new, keeping true to their original models, but with a Tyler twist. Converse launched the unisex collection Friday (June 20). Each shoe is a limited edition, retailing from $80 to $100 depending on the model and colorway. Speaking of colorways, the athletic Coach Jogger comes in three distinctive ones, while the Naut-1, a quintessential boat shoe, boasts three different designs entirely, from florals to monochrome hues. To celebrate this historic launch, we're going to be highlighting some of our favorite styles from the collection that you can shop now, while supplies last. $100 Buy Now at converse A low-top unisex sporty sneaker in bright green hues. The redesigned Jogger is an effortless, sporty silhouette with a playful color application that makes the shoe pop. This one's for the runners. Built for both performance and casual wear, this style features a mix of suede and nylon uppers, accompanied by a wrap-around heel and wedge outsole construction that imparts a retro vibe. You've also got two sets of laces for each colorway, offering the wearer endless styling possibilities. To finish off the model, GOLF le FLEUR* branding can be spotted subtly on the uppers as a nod to the rapper's brand. While our favorite colorway of the revamped Jogger is the Forest Shade/Green, the sneaker also comes in pastel Quiet Tide/Starlight Blue and neutral light brown Bistre/Dijon/Star White. 'There's something powerful about 1908 because these designs have truly stood the test of time,' Converse Archivist Sam Smallidge said in a press release. 'The Naut-1 and Jogger weren't just products — they were turning points in how people expressed themselves through sneakers. Their reintroduction is a reminder that Converse has been shaping sneaker culture for over a century through bold design and enduring self-expression. The Converse Archive captures that legacy in every detail.' $90 Buy Now at converse A cream-colored low-top unisex sneaker with floral detailing. The Naut-1 is a classic example of a boat shoe. Minimalist in composition and chock-full of nautical touches. The sneaker features sturdy canvas uppers and ivory laces that transition into non-slip rubber soles with a cushioned finish. GOLF le FLEUR* branding can also be seen throughout. Our favorite model of the three available is the Cannoli Cream/Stone Green colorway, which is speckled with embroidered florals in pink and green hues that give major Flower Boy vibes. The green trim offers contrast. The Naut-1 also comes in Dachshund/Afterglow, a monochrome brown, and Starlight Blue/Turkish Tile, a light blue monochrome. $100.00 Buy Now at converse A low-top unisex sporty sneaker in bright blue hues. The 'New Magic Wand' rapper has collaborated with the footwear brand on numerous occasions, tapping GOLF le FLEUR*, his own brand, as a sort of muse. Tyler began working with them in 2017. His collaborative sneakers are often retro-inspired and incorporate pastel colorways and floral motifs. In the past, the musician has reworked popular Converse silhouettes such as the Chuck Taylor and One Stars.

‘So Who Was Gonna Tell Me?' Woman Goes Through Car Wash On ‘Really Hot' Day. Then Her Windshield Cracks
A woman says that taking her car through the car wash on a scorching hot day caused a long crack in her windshield. TikTok user @monsinooo posted the video of her discovery on June 17. Get the best news, reviews, columns, and more delivered straight to your inbox, daily. back Sign up For more information, read our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use . 'So who was gonna tell me that if you take your car through the car wash when it's really, really hot outside, it cracks the windshield?' she says. 'Because I was just not made aware of that.' She flips the camera so that the viewer can see the crack. 'All the way up to the top,' she says with resignation. Her post has inspired some debate. People can't agree on what really caused her windshield to crack. Cracked by the Car Wash? Automated car washes are widely known to exacerbate existing cracks or chips in windshields and windows. Under the right circumstances, it's also possible for a car wash to cause a crack. The high velocity at which water is sprayed in a car wash can put enough pressure on a cracked windshield to worsen an existing crack or even shatter the glass entirely. Trending Now 'Do Not Leave Your Car Out in the Heat:' Woman Says It's So Hot Her Grandmother's Buick's Tires Exploded. Is That Possible? 'How Bad Is This?' Woman Hears a Clink While She's Driving. Then She Pulls Over and IDs the Real Source of the Problem Another way a car wash can intensify a crack is if water and soap get trapped between the two layers of glass that make up your windshield. This can weaken the structure of the glass, making it more likely to crack or break. According to MS Glass Outlet , @monsinooo was onto something when she guessed that temperature could be a factor. A drastic difference in temperature between the weather and the water the car wash uses can cause something known as 'thermal fracturing.' If your vehicle was baking in the sun and then suddenly goes into a car wash with frigid water, the temperature change can cause one side of the glass to shrink more rapidly than the other. If it already has a crack or a chip, that retraction may cause it to lengthen or spread. Auto Glass Now says that heat can 'absolutely' also cause a crack in a windshield. This is in part because windshields and some car windows are made of laminated glass , rather than tempered. Tempered glass is manufactured to withstand extreme fluctuations in temperature. But it's less than ideal for vehicles because it is more prone to shatter, such as when struck by a piece of gravel on the interstate. That's why experts recommend foregoing the car wash if you have a cracked windshield. A Costly Wash A cracked windshield isn't just a safety issue ; it's a potentially significant expense. A lot of insurance companies cover replacing cracked windshields . If you pay out of pocket, it could cost you several hundred dollars. The cost depends on a number of factors, according to AAA . These include your vehicle's make and model, if you go to an original equipment manufacturer or an aftermarket one, if your vehicle is equipped with any driver assistance systems, your mechanic's labor rate, and the state and city in which you live. What Really Caused the Crack? Although there is a possibility, albeit arguably remote, that @monsinooo's windshield cracked purely because of the temperature difference, most people in the comments weren't convinced. 'I live in Texas in triple digit heat and go through car washes all the time. Never happened to my car,' one wrote. At least one agreed with her take, writing, "Ummm science." A general consensus many shared was that she probably already had a defect in her windshield. 'That is not supposed to happen,' said one. 'Your window probably had a crack or indent somewhere.' A third user implied that there may be another explanation for the crack: The car wash attendants caused it. 'So that's what they told you?' they wrote. Fast cars vs. killer dolls: ‘F1,' ‘M3GAN 2.0' gear up for box-office showdown
Two major films are revving up for big debuts at the box office for the June 27-29 weekend, with Apple Original Films' ambitious Formula One drama F1: The Movie and Universal's campy horror sequel M3GAN 2.0 each eyeing strong openings. F1 is tracking to debut above $30 million in the U.S., with some forecasts suggesting that the film, starring Brad Pitt as a retired Formula One driver mentoring a rookie (Damson Idris), could start as high as $40 million–$45 million domestically and even race toward $50 million–$60 million if momentum builds. Internationally, where Formula One has a massive fan base, Warner Bros., distributing the film for Apple, is hoping for a $75 million-plus haul across 77 markets. Directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) and carrying a hefty $200 million production budget, global success is key for F1 to justify Apple's gamble on theatrical releases. The original M3GAN, released in January 2023, shocked industry expectations by opening to $30 million and legging out to $95 million domestically ($180 million worldwide) on a mere $12 million budget, fueled by its viral TikTok dance routines. This time, the PG-13 killer doll movie returns with upgraded thrills and escapist stakes, as the titular AI is rebuilt to stop a humanoid robot aiming for world domination. With a modest $25 million budget, M3GAN 2.0 doesn't need a blockbuster showing to turn a profit. SEE 'M3GAN 2.0' reviews say the sequel is both too much and not enough F1 is expected to dominate the domestic charts, propelled by Pitt's star power, Kosinski's storytelling expertise, and Formula One's global popularity (Lewis Hamilton even serves as a producer). While F1 seems geared to attract older male audiences, M3GAN 2.0 is strongest with younger women and remains a social media sensation. Both films will face heavy competition as Universal's Jurassic World: Rebirth roars into cinemas on July 2, along with holdover hits like Disney/Pixar's Elio and Sony's 28 Years Later. Gold Derby readers predict that F1: The Movie will win the June 27-29 weekend with between $25 million and $50 million domestically. After strong test audience reactions and early previews, F1 is poised to dominate the box office with a projected opening of over $40 million. M3GAN 2.0 is expected to scare up enough fans for a strong second-place debut, bringing in over $20 million. Meanwhile, Universal's How to Train Your Dragon remains steady in its third week, giving the killer doll some competition as it eyes $20 million as well. The live-action remake has already amassed an impressive $200 million domestically and $376 million worldwide. Rounding out the top five, Disney/Pixar's Elio and Sony's 28 Years Later are set to continue their box office battle from last week. Squid Game's final season hailed as 'harrowing and heartbreaking' by critics - with an ending 'so jaw-dropping it beggars belief'
Squid Game 's finale season has been hailed as 'harrowing and heartbreaking' by critics - with an ending 'so jaw-dropping it beggars belief'. The hit series quickly became a global phenomenon after the very first season premiered on Netflix back in 2021. While fans had to wait three years for the second season, the third and final hit screens on Friday, June 27. Squid Game season three has been praised by critics and received some raving reviews for its thrilling tale, which scores a whopping 88% on Rotten Tomatoes. Metro rated the show 4.5 out of five stars and gushed how the ending made their 'jaw drop' and described the season as 'darn near-perfect'. While the Guardian rated a more average three out of five stars but raved the ending was so surprising it is 'entirely beggars belief'. Gizmodo dubbed the season 'harrowing' and 'heartbreaking' noting Squid Game ends 'this vicious final chapter in a memorable, very terminal way'. However, it notes that there also seems to be a 'tease for more to come' at the end. Meanwhile Indie Wire praised director Hwang Dong-hyuk's 'unflinching vision that carries Squid Game over the finish line'. However, not everyone was so impressed and the Hollywood Reporter dubbed the ending 'unsatisfying'. While fans have already shared their verdicts online and one penned on Rotten Tomatoes: 'So far so good, just watched the first episode! I'm still deeply connected to all the characters and can't wait to see what happens next. Will update my review as I keep watching.' Another added: 'The suspenseful directing, story, music, and emotional acting by the actors were all great, and the ending was also excellent. It was so fun that I regret not seeing it again.' 'Eps 2 and final eps were my favs. Had me on edge throughout. Final game was epic, couldn't guess what was gonna happen. Love! Heartbreaking but an apt ending,' someone else said. Though it didn't escape criticism and one viewer penned: 'Rushed season, lackluster writing, horrible ending. This season was so anticipated and the tools were there for a really good season, but went completely off the rails. Squid Game writer and director Hwang Dong-hyuk has revealed the real reason why the upcoming series of the Netflix hit has been split into two parts 'The character building, suspense, and drama brought people back. All you're left with at the end of season 3 is people who you don't recognise. Do better Netflix.' Squid Game writer and director Hwang Dong-hyuk previously revealed the real reason why the season has been split into two parts. Speaking exclusively to MailOnline at the Squid Game season three premiere, Hwang Dong-hyuk, 54, said: 'I originally didn't plan for it to be split into two seasons. 'I was thinking that it'd be a single one, but in the process of writing it, it came out to about 13 episodes, which I thought was too long to put out as a single season. 'And I also thought it was too long when you look at current trends. 'So I thought that we wanted to split it, and if we were to split it, at the end of episode seven, when Seong Gi-hun hits rock bottom after his rebellion failed... 'I thought that was the just the right moment to sort of dividing into two chapters.; All seasons of Squid Game are available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
