UNC football lands big commitment over ACC program
Bill Belichick and the North Carolina Tar Heels got some good news on Thursday ahead of the holiday weekend.
The Tar Heels added to their 2026 recruiting class in a big way. Four-star wide receiver Keeyun Chapman committed to the Tar Heels on Thursday, picking UNC over Florida State in a big ACC recruiting battle. Chapman made his decision on Thursday afternoon, getting a total of 18 offers.

He took just two official visits, going to Florida State and North Carolina before making his decision. The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Chapman hails out of Jackson, Alabama and also drew interest from Colorado, Arkansas, South Carolina and USC among others.
Chapman has a few connections to UNC, as well. His brother, Keegan, committed to UNC on Friday and his teammate, Jamarrion Gordon, committed to the Tar Heels last Wednesday.
The four-star recruit is ranked No. 188 nationally, the No. 28 wide receiver, and No. 11 player in the state of Alabama per 247Sports. He's the 30th player to commit to UNC's 2026 class and the highest-ranked player to do so. UNC class is now ranked No. 18 nationally.
