Pop star shocks fans with extreme weight loss amid Ozempic rumors
Kim Petras has shocked her longtime fans after stripping down to a G-string to show off her shrinking frame. The transgender pop star, 32, dared to bare on Thursday by posing half-naked in a series of scantily-clad photos on Instagram. The Head Head Honcho hitmaker wore nothing but a pair of sunglasses, boots, and a skimpy thong in the racy images. Fans couldn't help but notice how trim the German songstress looked, with one writing, 'Yes skinny legend!' Another commented, 'Her thong straps look like they're sliding down.' A third wrote, 'Not body shaming her at all, but genuinely concerned about her weight.' Observers have long speculated that Kim may have dabbled in Ozempic, but the star herself hasn't confirmed the rumors. Petras first raised eyebrows that she may be using Ozempic after debuting a new look last summer. Fans described the Unholy singer, 32, as 'unrecognizable' and suggested she may have tried a weight loss drug. Dr. Adam Rubinstein agreed, telling last year: 'This is a pretty clear body change that happened over a year, and I think it is not unlikely that Kim used Ozempic or some similar weight-loss drug. 'She has really thinned out, her thighs even look slimmer from one picture to the other — and that is very hard to achieve. To get your extremities looking thinner, that is a significant amount of weight loss. 'At 32, your metabolism is still very much kicking — so if you use these medications, then your body is really primed for weight loss, and you can get results like this.' In April last year, Kim canceled all of her summer festival performance dates citing 'health issues,' but didn't specify the cause. Dr Rubinstein said they may be linked to weight loss drugs, if she had taken them, saying: 'These drugs can cause nausea, and sometimes can have longer lasting effects on the speed at which food moves through your tummy — making it harder to eat, so you can have some cramping. 'There have been reports of pancreatitis too, which is difficult to go through and requires a rest to your diet, to your body.' He added, 'It is a painful condition, so the idea of getting up on stage or even in a crowd is not a great one — especially when you are in that kind of pain.' Kim is currently in the midst of a new music era after returning to the charts with her latest single Polo. She previously called the edgy club track a 'reset,' hinting that her new music may contain some unexpected surprises. Petras shot to worldwide prominence thanks to her appearance on Unholy, which was released in September 2022 as the second single from Smith's fourth studio album, Gloria. She made music history on February 5 when she became the first transgender woman to win Best Pop Duo/Group performance at the Grammys. During her emotional acceptance speech, the German singer-songwriter thanked pop music icon and LGBTQ+ advocate Madonna, and paid tribute to the late artist SOPHIE for inspiring her. She said: 'I'm the first transgender woman to win this award; I want to thank all the incredible transgender legends before me who kicked these doors open. 'SOPHIE especially, my friend who passed away two years ago who told me this would happen and always believed in me. Thank you so much for your inspiration, SOPHIE. I adore you and your inspiration will always be in my music.'

This Summer, the Classic Polo Shirt Is Getting a Rethink
You wanna get me out my polo shirt? So goes a saucy lyric from the new Kim Petras song 'Polo,' an ode to the unlikely allure of a classic polo shirt. 'I got them alligators left and right, my Ralph Lauren, tight and teeny,' she sings, nodding to styles by Lacoste and Lauren—two purveyors of the enduring collared tee. First designed as a practical tennis shirt in the 1920s, the polo has since become an everyday fashion staple—and now, even an unexpected sex symbol. After all, it's not only Petras making the case for it: a number of modern-day heartthrobs have been slipping into polos lately, cementing them as a summer must-have. Long gone are the days of polos feeling like your local IT guy's uniform: These new ones are worn fitted or cropped and extra-tight—all the better for showing off your pectoralis muscles. At the spring 2026 menswear shows back in June, hunks like Manu Rios and Benito Skinner wore their polos in peppy shades of pink (Rios) or black and sheer (Skinner). Compared to the heyday of polo shirts in the 1990s and 2000s, when the members of Boyz II Men and other stars rocked striped polos with baggy jeans—also see the entire cast of Jersey Shore and their popped collars—the new iteration of polos feels different. They still have that sporty spirit, sure, but the details (widened sleeves! Transparent fabrics!) make them feel elevated. No. 21 spring 2026 menswear Photo: Courtesy of No. 21 Comme des Garçons spring 2026 menswear Photo: Daniele Oberrauch / We also saw a ton of polos pop up on the spring 2026 runways themselves. At No. 21, a striped polo was tucked into a baggy pair of jorts with exposed boxer-briefs (very dirtbag-chic). At Comme des Garçons, the polos—made in collaboration with Fred Perry, an enduring master of the style—came in preppy color-blocked, checkerboard prints. These are pieces you can envision both the skater bros and fashion gays embracing. There is beauty in this new duality. It doesn't take a genius to understand the appeal of a good polo, either. As Rihanna has proven with her styling approach (see below), you don't need to pair it with much besides a great pair of jeans and a cool shoe (hers, a pointed snakeskin pump) to suddenly have a statement look that is also extremely wearable.

Outloud music festival in Boston celebrates LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month
The Outloud music festival is coming to Boston this weekend, featuring high-energy performances from pop artists like Kim Petras and "RuPaul's Drag Race" star Trixie Mattel to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. The festival has taken off in West Hollywood, but Boston represents its East Coast debut, just in time to wrap up Pride Month in the city. Performers will take the stage in East Boston at Suffolk Downs on Saturday. The former horse racing track reopened as a music venue a few years ago. "Coming together and facing challenges" Jeff Consoletti is Outloud's founder and he grew up in Milford. He tells WBZ-TV that this is "an exciting project to come home with." "LA has been a great home for me, but you know I love my Boston and New England roots," he said. "I really also recall my first live concerts, whether it was like attending events at the old Foxboro or Great Woods. The young producer in me really like connected to just regionally how the area comes together to celebrate music." Consoletti said Massachusetts felt like a "great East Coast home" for Outloud because of the state's longtime commitment to LGBTQ+ people. Boston recently declared itself a "sanctuary city" for transgender people and the broader LGBTQ+ community. "We as a community can't take a step back. We have to show a commitment to one another, to solidarity, to coming together and facing challenges," Consoletti said. "That's really what Outloud stands for. It is important to create spaces where community can thrive." Other artists in Saturday's lineup include Flo Milli, Rebecca Black, G Flip, Frankie Grande, Oompa, Big Body Kweeng, Hannah Rad and Math3ca. Tickets can still be bought online, starting at $69.
