Jamie Laing makes cryptic five-word dig at Spencer Matthews amid feud

Jamie Laing has shared his thoughts on once best pal Spencer Matthews after the former Made In Chelsea duo's relationship seemingly soured Jamie Laing has opened up about his tense relationship with former Spencer Matthews co-star Spencer Matthews. The former pals have reportedly been feuding in recent years, with many speculated reasons flying about. The once best pals have had tension since Jamie married Sophie Habboo. Spencer was surprisingly not invited to the duo's first wedding in the UK in 2023. Then, at the Spanish ceremony, Spencer reportedly acted in a bd manner. It's claimed that Spencer was also unimpressed with Jamie's charity run, with extreme athletic stunts said to have been Spencer's "thing." ‌ Despite that, Jamie raised millions for Comic Relief thanks to his efforts. Now, after being asked about their friendship, Jamie made a candid five-word confession. ‌ Speaking to You Magazine, Jamie called his fellow TV star "hard to get along with" as he candidly opened up on their friendship. "Look, what can I say? I love Spencer, I really love him so much, and I don't think he'd mind me saying this… um… look, Spencer's a hard person to be friends with," he said. "We were thick as thieves for a long time, but I think what happens is family and life. From my side, I have no jealousy towards him whatsoever. I only love and adore him more than anything in the entire world. I still consider him one of my closest friends, and I'm godfather to his daughter. But, yeah… I mean… You would have to ask him." ‌ Jamie reiterated his adoration for his once best pal before again adding it would have to be Spencer who answered why they are no longer as close as they once were. The reality TV star also recently opened up on how he and his wife broke Buckingham Palace rules with a cheeky Meghan Markle-inspired twerk. The moment left King Charles laughing with an awkward etiquette blunder. ‌ Shortly before attending the annual King's Trust Awards in June, the duo admitted that an initial faux-pas from Sophie, 30, prompted a subsequent photo in which the monarch appears to laugh at the couple. In the image, which sparked a social media storm, the pair appeared to poke fun at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's notorious pregnancy twerk video during their trip to the Palace. The moment raised eyebrows after they cheekily filmed themselves on the Grand Staircase at the Palace, which has been traversed by Kings and Queens, Princes and Princesses. ‌ While the moment of Sophie and Jamie filming was a breach in protocol, palace aides fortunately found the funny side. On its official Instagram account 'theroyalfamily' replied to Jamie's post, adding: 'We see you' accompanied by a pair of eyes and a wink emojis. The King's Trust entered the conversation in the spirit of the occasion with the quip: 'All of our attendees are very well behaved.'

Sophie Habboo 'mortified' after making King Charles mistake at Buckingham Palace

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Former Made in Chelsea star Sophie Habboo has shared an "embarrassing" moment with King Charles that left her "mortified." During last month's annual King's Trust Awards at Buckingham Palace on June 26, Sophie and her husband, Jamie Laing, were among the star-studded line-up of attendees at the event. The ceremony boasted a guest list including acting legend George Clooney and his wife Amal, Dame Joanna Lumley, Joseph Fiennes, and the ever-popular I'm A Celeb co-host Dec Donnelly—all there to pay tribute to this year's award winners. But for Sophie, the event turned into an occasion she'd rather forget, as she confessed she was left "embarrassed" by a mistake at the Palace. (Image: Dave Benett, Alan Chapman/) With the celebrities divided into smaller groups, Sophie found herself alongside Jamie, Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway, and one of the award recipients. Yet, despite being told only to shake the King's hand after he offered it, Jamie disclosed on their Nearly Parents podcast that Sophie seemed to have missed the memo. He amusingly recalled: "He kept looking towards Sophie. And as soon as he went towards Sophie, Sophie put her hand up—five times." Jamie went on to describe how his wife gradually became tired of repeatedly offering her hand to the King. Finally, he said: "And then what happened was, the last time he turned towards Sophie, she put out her hand—she didn't withdraw it. She just held it there. She just held it there and didn't move it." (Image: JANE BARLOW, POOL/AFP via Getty Images) Sophie confessed that, despite feeling "mortified" by the incident, when she eventually met the King, he graciously enquired about Jamie's recent sporting achievement, asking if he had recovered from his demanding ultramarathon. The King was alluding to Jamie's extreme Ultra Marathon Man effort for Comic Relief, which saw him run from London to Salford, completing an ultramarathon each day for five consecutive days. (Image: Dave Benett, Alan Chapman/) Jamie and Sophie, who continue to share updates on their Nearly Parents podcast, first met in 2017 while appearing on Channel 4's Made in Chelsea. Having tied the knot in 2023, the two former Made in Chelsea stars recently announced they are expecting their first child.

Jamie Laing and shares truth behind Meghan Markle twerk at Buckingham Place

Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo have confessed to breaking Palace rules with a cheeky Meghan-inspired twerk and left King Charles laughing with an awkward etiquette blunder. Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo admit a mangling of royal etiquette overshadowed their meeting with King Charles after he was pictured chuckling at them during a private reception. The former Made In Chelsea stars were received by his Majesty at Buckingham Palace in June, shortly before attending the annual King's Trust Awards the following day. And they admit an initial faux-pas from Sophie, 30, prompted a subsequent photo in which King Charles appears to laugh at the couple while greeting a procession of guests at the special event. ‌ The married couple filmed themselves recreating Harry and Meghan's famous 'Baby Mama' twerk in the heart of the royal residence but the playful video came as a breach of Palace rules as guests were asked not to use their cameras inside Buckingham Palace during the star-studded King's Trust event. ‌ Which sparked a social media storm by appearing to poke fun at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's notorious pregnancy twerk video during their trip to the Palace. They raised eyebrows by cheekily filmed themselves on the Grand Staircase at the Palace, which has been traversed by Kings and Queens, Princes and Princesses. Seemingly channeling the Royal couple, Jamie wrote: 'They said we couldn't film in Buckingham Palace.' While the moment was a breach in protocol and could have sparked a royal meltdown, palace aides fortunately found the funny side. On its official Instagram account 'theroyalfamily' replied to the post, adding: 'We see you' accompanied by a pair of eyes and a wink emojis. The King's Trust entered the conversation in the spirit of the occasion with the quip: 'All of our attendees are very well behaved.' ‌ Discussing her gaffe on the latest episode of their Nearly Parents podcast, an amused Jamie, 36, recalled how his pregnant wife had overlooked Royal etiquette by repeatedly shooting her hand out in an unsuccessful attempt to greet the Monarch. 'When you meet the King, you slightly bow your head, or you curtsy, then you hold your hand out and call him Sir afterwards,' he explained. 'Do not raise your hand and shake his hand until he's raised his hand towards you. 'He kept looking towards Sophie, and as soon as he went towards Sophie, Sophie put her hand up, like this... and then he turned away and she put it back down again' ‌ 'And she did this about three or four times, and then what happened was he looked at her again, because he's just being polite. You're meant to wait until he puts his hand up!' Admitting she was mortified by the incident, which was filmed by a Netflix production team, Sophie said: 'I thought I was missing my opportunity and I didn't listen to that, because they were talking and it's just noise in my ear. ‌ 'So I thought "he's looking at me, is this my moment, I'm meant to shake and curtsy?" And I was buckling.' Cracking up, Jamie revealed how Sophie resorted to robotically holding her hand out in anticipation of the King as he worked his way down a line that included beauty mogul Charlotte Tilbury, Hollywood star George Clooney and his wife Amal. 'And then what happened was, the last time, he turned towards Sophie, Sophie put out her hand. She didn't withdraw, she just held it there,' he said. 'She just held it there and didn't move it until he came and shook her hand. Just holding it like that!'

Fearne Cotton wears ethereal £89 dress that's still in stock

The fashionista nailed vintage glamour while attending a royal event last week Fearne Cotton has long been one of my favourite style icons. Her edgy, grungy fashion sense, often mixed with vintage-inspired pieces, always hit the mark - and her latest look is no exception. Last week, the presenter stepped out at the King's Trust Awards in a dreamy midi dress that I'm eyeing up for my own wardrobe. The dress in question is the Dandelion Midi Dress (£89) from high street favourite Sister Jane. Fearne styled the whimsical frock with a bubblegum pink handbag for a bold pop of colour, letting the dress's details speak for themselves. With its high neckband, flared sleeves and scalloped lace trim, the piece gives off an ethereal, almost fairy-tale vine - like something Stevie Nicks might wear. Sister Jane describes it as a 'perfect blend of vintage charm and modern romance', and I couldn't agree more. It's currently available in sizes XS to XL, although the site indicates that stock is low, so it's best to be quick if you're tempted. To style, try leaning into the softness with pastel heels and a vintage clutch. Alternatively, pair it with chunky boots for an edgy contrast. Shop the look £89 Sister Jane Buy Now on Sister Jane For more vintage-inspired frocks, I've had my eye on this vintage midi dress (£49.99) from ASOS for a while. The lace cut-outs and floral print give it an elegant edge, much like the Sister Jane option. Otherwise, Joanie is another option. The label, which Fearne has worn before, has a host of retro-inspired pieces, from jumpsuits to summer dresses. The Sister Jane outfit has no reviews so far, making it difficult to determine whether shoppers are pleased with its quality. My only gripe is that it's not the best colour for a wedding, although the fit and style are ideal for a summer celebration. However, it's best to avoid it, as it might cause problems with the bride. Otherwise, it's the ideal outfit for brunch with friends or a posh dinner. And with its romantic silhouette and just edgy enough detailing, it's no surprise that it's got Fearne's seal of approval. It's available to shop via Sister Jane here.

Kate Garraway says it's 'tough to balance the budget' amid £800k debts

Kate Garraway has said it's 'tough to balance the budget' after previously admitting she's been left with up to £800K in debt following the death of her husband, Derek Draper. Kate Garraway says it's tough to 'balance the budget' after racking up between £500,000 and £800,000 of debt while caring for her late husband, Derek Draper. Talking at the King's Trust Awards with TK Maxx and Homesense, the Good Morning Britain presenter said of the cost of care, 'It's definitely tough to balance the budget, I feel like carers often don't have a voice so I'm here to shout about it and the costs that go unnoticed. ‌ "I wouldn't want to be the chancellor right now with the costs going on overall right now.' ‌ Broadcaster Kate, 48, cared for her husband Derek for four years as he suffered from an agonising health battle after contracting Covid-19 in 2020 and being left with long Covid, with the family faced with sky high costs to look after him. 'Derek's care costs more than my salary from ITV and that is before you pay for a mortgage, before you pay any household bills, before you pay for anything for the kids, so we are at a crunch point,' Kate said before Derek's passing. Kate returned to work on Good Morning Britain weeks after Derek's death in January last year, and has since been an advocate for carers across the country. 'I think some people are probably a bit tired of me going on about carers and the lack of support, but I won't because they need a voice,' said Kate. The broadcaster has been supported by several of her colleagues amid the difficult time, and detailed her close relationship with former co-presenter Ben Shephard. ‌ 'Ben and I are great friends, I always see him in the studio on Thursdays because I'm in for GMB and he's in for This Morning, so it's lovely. He's actually not happy with me right now because we've been meaning to go for lunch and haven't yet. I owe him a lunch!' Hot off the heels of visiting Buckingham Palace a day prior to the King's Trust Awards, Kate said she was grateful to His Majesty for his continued support of her. 'The king has a very charming personality and he's always been so kind to me. He's looking really well and healthy too, which was really nice to see,' shared Kate. 'The Kings Trust Awards is always a very special occasion and now Good Morning Britain is part of an award too so I feel like I can get involved anymore,' she explained, referencing the show's involvement in the volunteer of the year award, which was won by Nabilla Zulfiqar. The King's Trust Awards, which began in recognise young people who have improved their own chances in life and had a positive impact on their local community.
