Cosplay in Australia just keeps getting better and there are so many opportunities to admire the amazing work of crafters, creatives and hobbyists. 'Business correct' Deadpool from Deadpool Was it Ryan Reynolds in disguise? No, but Angus Riddle had it covered with his take on Marvel jester, Deadpool. Princess Peach from Super Mario Bros. Alyssa O'Toole is an experienced cosplayer that loves to dress up as your favourite movie, TV and gaming royalty. The Matron of Ravens from Dungeons & Dragons and Naofumi Iwatani from The Rising of The Shield Hero Siblings, Jess and Matthew Woo brought a cool, calm and collected energy to their costumes and they didn't have to spend an arm and a leg putting them together. Springtrap from Five Nights At Freddy's 3 This build has plenty of moving parts but Joseph Walker's patience paid off. His 3D printed Springtrap was turning heads as guests walk through the door. The Lorax and The Onceler from The Lorax The funniest duo — Jorja and Braydan Robinson — took a big swing at iconic characters and totally nailed it. Daredevil from Daredevil Jay Vecchio's been cosplaying for over six years and he says he doesn't tire of the fun. New shows and movies give him inspiration to keep the costumes fresh and exciting. Lady Violet Bridgerton from Bridgerton It all started with dressing up as The Penguin to accompany her friend's Batman. Now, Janine Feodoroff has brought plenty of characters to life, from fairy godmothers to a yass-ified Pope. Luigi, Mario, Waluigi and Wario from Super Mario Bros Katrina Ikonomou, Georgia Ikonomou, Tyrone Ikonomou and Benjamin Cirnigliaro brought this family game to life and the gents were sitting pretty, not having to glue fake moustaches to their cheeks. Their costumes each range from whimsical to fierce. Tanjiro (x 2) from Demon Slayer and Piccolo from Dragon Ball Z It's not often you'll find two friends at a convention dressed just like each other, but Ali Ellabban, Toha Hidayat and Humza Rana seemed quite chill with it. Maybe their powers are stronger together? Doctor Doom from Marvel Comics Scott Henderson might give Robert Downey Jr. a run for his money with this detailed and functional costume. He can't really hold a phone in his hand, but who needs it when you have magic? Bishoujo Optimus Prime from Transformers Coming in all the way from Canberra, Anita Wen used a combination of made and bought materials to complete her outfit.
