Kitchie Nadal open to possibility of moving back to PH

"Anything is possible." This was Kitchie Nadal's answer when asked in "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Monday if there was a chance for her to move back to the Philippines. "We're open to anything," she added. Kitchie moved to Spain in 2017 with her Spanish husband, journalist Carlos Lopez, following the birth of her first son and has been based there ever since. According to Kitchie, she did not expect that her career would be the same again when she moved to Spain for love. "I was just happy to be living there and then nagkaroon lang ng opportunities eh. I don't know how it happened, basta nagkaroon lang ng demand to come back here and do concerts, and I said yes," she said. "Kaya ayoko ring magsalita nang tapos kasi parang, 'yun nga eh, 'yung concert, I didn't even think about that. Never in my wildest dream that it'll happen in my 20th year or 21st year." Kitchie marked her 20th anniversary in the music industry in 2024 with a concert, dubbed "Same Ground," at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City. The show featured Kitchie's good friends in the industry, namely Barbie Almalbis, Aia de Leon, Lougee Basabas, Hannah Romawac, Acel Bisa, and Mayonnaise's Monty Macalino. In June, she held another concert, titled "New Ground," at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in celebration of her 21st year in the industry. The OPM rock icon is known for the hits "Huwag Na Huwag Mong Sasabihin," Same Ground," "Bulong!!!" and many more. Kitchie and Carlos tied the knot in 2025. They have two sons: Keon, born in 2017, and Iago, born in 2023. —CDC, GMA Integrated News
