The win came after a late push from the Kings to cut an 18-point lead to one. Blue Devils finish off season sweep of rival Tar Heels, claim ACC regular season crown
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCT) — Another rendition of 'The Battle of The Blues' between Duke and North Carolina took place in Chapel Hill Saturday night, Mar. 8, 2025. The Blue Devils built a 15-point lead in the first half before UNC cut it down to a single point by the break. The Tar Heels built a seven-point lead in the second half and Duke answered with a run that swung the momentum and lead back to the darker blue in an eventual 82-69 victory. Four of Duke's five starters scored in double-figures as Kon Kneuppel led the way with 17 points. Tyrese Proctor and Sion James had 16 apiece and Cooper Flagg put up 15. The Tar Heels were led by senior R.J. Davis' 20 points and Ven-Allen Lubin added 11 as the only other UNC player in double-figures.
