Salman Khan Wears A Blue Sapphire Ring To Mumbai Event, Astrologer Reveals 3 Reasons Why

Bollywood star Salman Khan's latest pictures in which he was photographed wearing a blue sapphire ring at the launch event of season two of the Indian Supercross Racing League on Wednesday has caught the attention of a section of social media users and astrology aficionados. The actor, who starts shooting for his next film Battle of Galwan in the next 10 days or so in the freezing temperatures of Leh-Ladakh, is already a style icon courtesy his signature turquoise bracelet. Many bhai fans wear similar real/fake bracelets as a badge of honour. And since the Internet is curious about this gemstone, here's a deep dive into why Salman Khan was wearing this blue sapphire ring at yesterday's event. What The Blue Sapphire Is Used For According to Gurugram-based astrologer Sidhharrth S Kumaar, blue sapphire is a stone which is primarily ruled by Saturn, which is a planet of gain. "Saturn just turned retrograde on July 13, 2025. This can be linked to the retrograde of Saturn, which will be in this phase until November. This is something which is known to give very immediate gains, gains in the terms of financial growth, specifically gains related to business where the person is planning expansion," Kumaar told NDTV. Why Salman Khan Wore The Blue Sapphire Ring Kumaar said there could be three reasons why the Bollywood star, who will turn 60 in December, may have worn the blue sapphire ring. "With Salman Khan in the picture, firstly, he already has a business interest, so it could be that aspect as well," he said. Salman Khan's security was heightened, following the murder of his friend and NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in 2024. The Sikandar star hasn't had a great year so far, both personally and professionally. He has received continuous death threats from the Bishnoi gang and saw a shooting near his Mumbai apartment. On Eid in April, the actor greeted fans from behind a newly-installed bulletproof glass wall due to security concerns. He has been provided 'Y-plus' security cover by the Mumbai Police. In May, in separate incidents, a man and a woman were arrested by the Mumbai Police for allegedly attempting to enter Salman Khan's residence. According to Kumaar, blue sapphire is a stone which also helps protect the person from any evil eye or any form of accident with Saturn in retrograde at this point of time. "Salman Khan is wearing this ring as a precaution. He was born on December 27, 1965. So, currently his 59th year is running. That can be another aspect to wear the blue sapphire -- to avoid any misfortunes or accidents," he added. The astrologer said, thirdly, it could be because Salman Khan is currently going through a bad patch both personally and professionally, but "more on the professional side". "This is something I refer to as a midlife crisis. Blue sapphire is a stone which helps the person reclaim the height that the person was. This is more about bringing a new focus to the career and rejuvenating the career path." When a planet goes retrograde, it means it is closer to the earth and has the potential to have a quicker impact on the person, the astrologer explained. "This is the time where the person wearing the blue sapphire ring will be able to reap the benefits of his or her own deeds. Secondly, Saturn is known to be a planet of justice and this planet of justice is in the sign of Jupiter, which is by default a sign of justice. It enhances the karmic breakdown." The Shape of The Blue Sapphire The rectangle shape of the blue sapphire stone worn by Salman Khan also holds significance, said Kumaar. "The rectangle is a shape which is specifically used more for protection, the career fate and re-establishing public perception. This same shape is also worn by Amitabh Bachchan. "The stone is usually worn in the middle finger, as that finger is ruled by Saturn, and generally in the right hand when you want to direct the universe to give more protection to you. Right hand represents the logic reasoning, and the action part of the brain is the left part of the brain. It is more about aligning with the solar energies, aligning with the current pattern," he added. Salman Khan's Signature Turquoise Bracelet With The Blue Sapphire Ring The astrologer said both the gemstones are used to provide protection to the wearer. "Turquoise and blue sapphire offer complementary support. While turquoise is more about protection from black magic, evil eye and emotional cleansing, blue sapphire is worn to avert physical danger."

Why Gen Z In India Is Turning Back To Astrology And Religion

Through the advancements of social media apps and artificial intelligence, taking guidance by texting your astrologer or jumping on an astrology app can be done within minutes. Growing uncertainty and emotional toll are pushing a large number of young Indians to astrology and religion, turning it into a humongous market in India. According to Sidhharrth S Kumaar, an astrologer and relationship coach who works for NumroVani, Gen Z, who were supposed to break the conventional norms and adopt a scientific temper, are increasingly inclined towards astrology to get their answers and ride through the difficult times. 'A 25-year-old came to me asking, 'Why am I here?' and 'What's my purpose?' Their North Node was in the 9th house, which indicates a deep connection to travel, philosophy, and teaching. They left the session with tears in their eyes – not because they were lost, but because they finally realised they were simply being redirected," Kumaar told NDTV. Through the advancements of social media apps and artificial intelligence, taking guidance and advice by texting your astrologer or jumping on an astrology app can be done within minutes. That has given way to an incredibly large section of Indians seeking astrological insights daily and basing their life decisions on them. As per the 2024 study by NumroVani, 51 per cent of young Indians check these insights daily, while 88 per cent read horoscopes at least once a week, and 75 per cent rely on astrology for their personal matters, like love and marriage. The COVID-19 pandemic and its widespread impact, including job losses, health and relationship uncertainties, only bolstered the trend of Indians, especially Gen Z, seeking relief in astrology and religious practices. Apart from the rapidly increasing online consultations, Gen Z are turning up more frequently at traditional religious events, including this year's Kumbh Mela and Jagannath Yatra, and attending the Pujas and teachings organised by various religious Gurus in India. Some of them are even becoming Gurus themselves. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. Radhe-Radhe Guru Ji: How Gen Z Push Made Religion A Market Worth Rs 4.86 Lakh Crore In India

Sidhharrth S Kumaar is an astrologer, relationship coach, and psychic. He works with NumroVani, a Gurugram-based numerology company with a mission to 'empower businesses and individuals'. With over six years of experience, Kumaar has built a loyal following - both in real life and across social media. He consults more than 100 clients every month, most of whom are between the ages of 24 and 35. But his youngest client? Just 8. A growing number of teenagers and young adults are reaching out to him - often struggling with relationship challenges or grappling with identity issues. "A 25-year-old came to me asking, 'Why am I here?' and 'What's my purpose?' Their North Node was in the 9th house, which indicates a deep connection to travel, philosophy, and teaching. They left the session with tears in their eyes - not because they were lost, but because they finally realised they were simply being redirected," Kumaar shares. He also recalls a 14-year-old girl who had just come out of a brief but intense relationship. "She wanted to know why she gets so emotionally attached to people," he says. Stories like these - of people stuck in confusion about relationships, careers, or life - reflect a growing trend: young Indians are turning to spirituality to make sense of their inner chaos and emotional blocks, often using it as a way to disconnect from an overwhelming reality. With technology, AI, and social media, guidance is now just a few taps away. Whether you're scrolling through an astrology app or texting your personal astrologer for advice - you're far from alone. What The Numbers Reveal Data paints the same picture. A 2024 study by NumroVani found that 51% of young Indians seek astrological insights daily. Around 88% read horoscopes at least once a week, and 75% rely on astrology for matters of the heart. Digital astrology is booming, with platforms like Astrotalk and AstroVed offering AI-powered, personalised horoscopes and matchmaking services. The online astrology market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 14%, reaching over USD 750 million (approx. Rs 6,200 crore) by 2025. The pandemic only accelerated this trend - with online consultations rising by 20-25% in 2021 alone. Even traditional religious events are seeing a Gen Z revival. The recently concluded Kumbh Mela was attended by more than 400 million people - and a significant portion of them were young Indians. India's spiritual economy is evolving too. No longer limited to temple visits, it now includes digital services like virtual puja s, online pilgrimages, and astrology consultations. The religious and spiritual market was valued at USD 58.56 billion (approx. Rs 4.86 lakh crore) in 2023 and is growing at nearly 10% annually. Why Religion And Astrology Are Cool Again Millennials, for the most part, ran away from tradition. They chased career highs, buried themselves in long working hours, and quietly navigated mental health struggles without help. Gen Z, however, is rewriting the rules: embracing incense sticks, affirmations, gratitude lists, healing crystals, and birth charts. And they're doing it with pride. "There's no doubt - it's not just making a comeback, it's probably the next FOMO. Soon, people won't ask if you went out on the weekend - they'll ask if you aligned your karma for it," laughs Vanya Mishra, CEO and Co-founder of AstroSure AI, an app offering AI-powered astrology insights. According to Mishra, millennials buried spirituality under ambition and burnout. "But Gen Z? They're out of the rat race. They're in their own lane. For them, trauma healing is a priority. Millennials and their parents never even spoke about familial trauma - Gen Z wears it like a badge of honour," she says. Mental health expert Yuvette D'Sa agrees. "Gen Z understands both the empowering and problematic parts of religion. They don't just accept it blindly. They take what works for them - what gives them peace," she explains. In her view, this generation is honouring Indian traditions by reshaping them to fit modern realities. Kumaar sees Gen Z as trendsetters. "They're leading the digital revival of ancient sciences. Even late millennials - sandwiched between Gen Z and their parents - are beginning to turn inward because of it," he says. Mishra adds, "Social media has supercharged curiosity. And it's not just in India - the West is getting hooked on Vedic astrology too." Add Social Media To The Mix A quick scroll through Instagram will show you just how trendy astrology has become. Memes based on sun signs, retrograde rants, and celebrities sharing their spiritual routines - the stars are literally everywhere. Spiritual gurus like Premanand Govind Sharan (we all have seen his videos, he has 27.3 million followers on Instagram), or Aniruddhacharya Mahara, AKA 'Pookie Baba' (3.6 million followers on Instagram) are also becoming a part of this discourse with their own Instagram account sharing candid moments of wisdom. They further bring Gen Z and other younger generation's attention to religion and spirituality who follow Instagram religiously. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Bhajan Marg Official (@bhajanmarg_official) "Big names like Virat and Anushka, even Dua Lipa, are openly embracing astrology. That visibility is making spirituality aspirational again," says Mishra. And whatever is on social media and your stars follow is cool, right? 'Astrology Isn't A Trend Anymore - It's A Lifestyle Shift' What was once seen as superstition is now a daily part of self-care routines. From planning projects around moon phases to reciting affirmations during yoga, astrology is increasingly becoming second nature for many young Indians. "Young people today are using astrology and spirituality as tools to shape their identity and guide major life decisions - from careers to relationships, finance to health. For many, astrologers are their go-to advisors," Kumaar explains. Even choices like buying a wristwatch are being made based on astrological remedies now. At Mishra and her team created Agastyaa - an AI-powered astrological assistant - in response to rising demand for personalised, tech-savvy spiritual tools. The app's user data supports this shift. "Over 50% of our users are Gen Z. Relationship queries dominate. They chat with us late into the night, asking about their futures or just seeking emotional comfort," Mishra shares. Kumaar sees a similar pattern. "Roughly 73-74% of my recent consultations have been with young people. Once trust is built, they come back - some every week." According to him, astrology provides a safe, unbiased space for reflection. "It acts like a mirror, one that doesn't judge you. In relationships, friendships, even work teams, people are seeking energy alignment more than logic," Kumaar says. Mishra believes this shift is only going to grow, "Let's be real. Looking at the state of the world, turning inward might just be the coolest thing you can do right now. If something makes you feel better, or helps you grow - why wouldn't you do it?" Well, Gen Z seems to echo him.

Here's what you need to know about angel number 1010

Angel numbers like 1010 can show up on a receipt, a clock, a calendar, you name it. Whether you're aware of a specific sequence's significance or not, angel numbers often make you take a second glance thanks to their repetitive nature, clear order or symmetry. It can't fully be explained, but it's so satisfying — exciting, even — when the clock strikes 11:11 or we get to tap 1010 at the end of a phone number. It's rhythmic. 'These sightings can offer guidance, a push in the right direction or answer a question that you have been struggling to figure out,' Courtney Cunningham, certified crystal healer and co-founder of Moon & Stone, tells What makes angel numbers so significant when we see them, and how do they apply to so many people — regardless of denomination? 'Unlike other 'lucky' numbers, these are not linked to your zodiac, sign or numerology,' says Cunningham. 'Linked to ancient Greek philosophers, they are said to be sent by energy in the universe — some say spirit guides, others angels or some just 'the universe.' All you need to do is make sure you are listening and looking for the signs they are sending.' So, what should you watch out for if 1010 comes your way? Here's what you need to know about angel number 1010's symbolism in your life. The combination 1010 is an angel number that really earns its name. 'Combining 1 with 0, angel number 1010 generates a strong angelic message. It marks spiritual enlightenment and development, motivating you to start or intensify your spiritual path with optimism,' Sidhharrth S Kumaar, an astro numerologist at NumroVani, tells Angel number 1010 provides a bit of a check-in during your life journey. It also implores you to keep a positive mindset while navigating this journey. As Kumaar explains it: 'Seeing 1010 means heavenly direction, assistance and the attitude of fresh beginnings and opportunities, therefore inspiring you to welcome change with courage and passion.' You'll be happy to hear that angel number 1010 also symbolizes significant, exciting developments in your love life. According to Kumaar, if you're single, 1010 could suggest a fresh romantic chapter is coming or that you might run into that special someone. 'It inspires confidence and self-love, drawing the proper sort of love into your life,' he explains. Meanwhile, angel number 1010 encourages couples to work on their personal development and bond within a partnership. This shift could be through engaging in more honest communication or teamwork. Plus, Kumaar adds, 'It means that good changes are just around the corner, thus inspiring you to welcome them with hope and assurance to improve your relationship.'
