Nearly ₹1,500 crore transferred to bank accounts of 1.27 crore women under Ladli Behna Yojna, says MP CM
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said ₹1,543.16 crore has been transferred to the bank accounts of 1.27 crore women under the Ladli Behna Yojana scheme. It is an old spot and Narsingh Temple is located here, devotees come here to take a holy dip throughout the year, especially during the holy month of Sawan and earn virtue," CM Yadav told reporters. Earlier, CM Yadav participated in the Kanwar Yatra in Ujjain and also showered flowers to welcome the Kanwar Yatris. Yadav also highlighted that the state government would ensure tight security arrangements for all Kanwar Yatris, along with appropriate facilities. He further added that instructions in this regard were already issued. The Chief Minister welcomed Kanwar Yatris with a shower of flowers. He also performed worship of Kanwar, lifted it, and along with Mahamandaleshwar of Agni Akhada, Uttam Swami, began Kanwar Yatra by walking on foot. The Chief Minister said that the tradition of celebrating all festivals with enthusiasm has been initiated by the state government. With the blessings of God and saints, preparations for Simhastha-2028 in Ujjain are being carried out rapidly. "We are making all preparations with the thought that even if events like Simhastha are held every year after 2028, there should be no difficulty. Keeping in view Simhastha-2028, a 'Simhastha Dharmik City' is also being constructed in Ujjain for setting up ashrams and other arrangements for saints, so that convenient facilities can be ensured for the large number of devotees visiting Ujjain," he said. Addressing Kanwar Yatris, Chief Minister Yadav said there are many cultures in the world, and though there are 194 countries, no country begins any auspicious work by taking a vow with water. "Indian culture has always considered water as life itself, and a way of living. By the grace of God, we have been aware of the qualities of water for thousands of years." 'Sawan' holds a special place in Hindu mythology. Devotees undertake fasts and offer prayers to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva during this period. The chanting of Shiva mantras, singing bhajans (devotional songs), and performing Rudrabhishek (ceremonial bathing of Shiva Lingam with holy substances) are common practices observed with fervour across households and temples during 'Sawan' month.

Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav takes holy dip in Shipra River
Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 12 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav took a holy dip in the Shipra river at Narsingh Ghat located in Ujjain district on Saturday and offered prayers on the occasion. 'I try to take a dip in the Shipra River every year here. It is an old spot and Narsingh Temple is located here, devotees come here to take a holy dip throughout the year, especially during the holy month of Sawan and earn virtue,' CM Yadav told reporters. The CM also highlighted his day's engagements in Ujjain, including transferring the monthly aid of Ladli Behna Yojana. 'I will attend two to three programs here in the district, one event is at Madhav Sewa Nyas, through which our social activities are carried out. Ujjain is a big center of religious tourism and a large number of people visit, so a good place is required for accommodation. Therefore, the program is about its expansion. Similarly, I will participate in a state-level Nishadraj Sammelan program. Additionally, the Sawan month has started, and the monthly aid of the Ladli Behna Yojana will be transferred to women,' the CM added. According to an official release, the Chief Minister will transfer the instalments of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana, Social Security Pension Scheme, and Ujjwala Gas Cylinder Yojana into the accounts of beneficiaries during a state-level programme to be organised at Kalidas Academy, Ujjain, on Saturday. CM Yadav will transfer the 26th instalment of Rs 1,503.14 crore to the accounts of 1.27 crore beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana. He will further transfer Rs 340 crore to the accounts of 56.74 lakh beneficiaries under the Social Security Pension Scheme and Rs 46.34 crore for gas cylinder refills to over 30 lakh women under the Ujjwala Yojana, the release read. The Chief Minister will also perform Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth more than Rs 152 crore for fishermen welfare and distribute benefits to fishermen at the state level Nishadraj Sammelan in Ujjain, it added. Farmers are backbone of nation: Shivraj Singh
Putaparthi (Sri Sathyasai district): Union minister for agriculture, farmers welfare, and rural development Shivraj Singh Chouhan said farmers are the true strength of the nation and called for the empowerment of women to rise above poverty and lead dignified lives. Addressing an interactive session with farmers and women self-help groups (SHGs) at Pedaballi village in Puttaparthi mandal, the minister said that the farming community, which feeds the entire country, is a source of national pride and plays a crucial role in India's development. The event was also attended by state agriculture minister K Atchannaidu and district collector T S Chetan. Commending the local farming practices, the Union minister appreciated the natural farming methods suggested by district collector Chetan, stating: 'Natural farming involves lower costs and higher profits. It can become a model for the nation. By using modern technology, higher yields can be achieved even on small landholdings, opening many opportunities for small-scale farmers.' On women empowerment, minister Chouhan praised the efforts of SHG women, highlighting their progress: 'Our sisters are becoming self-reliant and stepping forward to lead dignified lives without depending on others. Their commitment to overcoming poverty and standing tall in society is commendable.' He recalled launching the 'Ladli Behna Yojana' during his tenure as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, underscoring his commitment to women's empowerment. 'Serving farmers is akin to serving God,' he added. As part of the event, a bank linkage cheque worth Rs 437.09 crore was distributed to 53,746 SHG members from Puttaparthi, Anantapur, and other parts of the undivided district. Earlier in the day, the minister inspected a mixed crop cultivation field practising organic farming in Pedaballi and also visited a photo exhibition highlighting the impact of drought on crops. Several senior officials, including joint collector Abhishek Kumar, joint secretary, Union ministry of agriculture Perni Devi along with local farmers and SHG members.
