A Place in the Sun star Laura Hamilton has announced she's purchased a property in Dubai and has been spending time there over the past year seriously looking at the property market A Place in the Sun presenter Laura Hamilton has taken to her social media to reveal some thrilling personal developments. Laura has been a staple on the Channel 4 programme for more than ten years, having made her debut in February 2012. In August 2024, Laura snapped up a holiday home in Majorca and has been busy doing it up, often sharing her passion for the renovation journey. The property expert even runs a dedicated Instagram account to document the transformation. She's been flipping properties since she was just 19. On Instagram, she excitedly shared: "I have some news and this is something I have been wanting to share with you for some time with you but it just hasn't felt quite right. As many of you know this time last year I brought a property in Majorca and it was a renovation project because that's exactly what I love. "However, things have taken a lot longer, when you're renovating a property you're waiting for various licences, permits and it is a slow process. The project is still very much underway it's just taking a lot longer than I anticipated", reports the Liverpool Echo. In a further revelation, Laura disclosed to her followers that she has spent the last year frequently visiting Dubai. She explained: "You might have seen that from my stories and posts that I have been doing. I have been coming to Dubai for many years and when you do the job that I do you love exploring the world." The property guru has disclosed her recent ventures in Dubai, having spent the past year "seriously looking at the property market here [Dubai]", engaging with various developers and exploring different locales. Laura shared: "A couple of months ago I purchased my very own property here in Dubai, in Dubai marina. I am here this week with the children showing them the property for the first time." She describes the four-year-old property as a canvas to imprint her own "stamp" on. The Channel 4 star expressed her excitement in a video caption: "I've been wanting to share this for the past 3 now feels like the right time to finally share it." She elaborated on her decision: "It's a move that's all about property, potential, and thinking internationally. A new investment in a place known for its sunshine, skyline, and serious opportunity."
