Bouncy, bold and literally cutting-edge, bob hairstyles have long served as a statement look. So when Jenna Bush Hager had her hair cut above her shoulders live on the 'Today' show last month, she said the blunt haircut 'inspired the country.' 'It's so cool,' Leslie Bibb of 'The White Lotus' exclaimed, clapping and squealing as Chris McMillan, the Beverly Hills celebrity stylist, clipped Hager's hair. The 'Today' show referred to Bibb's style as the 'blunt bob,' although McMillan earlier named it the 'c---y little bob' when he cut Bibb's hair, using a word that's considered either an obscenity or an endearing descriptor depending on the context — and somehow became a provocative way to explain the off-putting attitudes of women who wear the haircut.

First popularized by movie legend Mary Thurman in the 1920s, 'the bob' has rapidly made its way onto almost every star-studded scene and red carpet over the last year. From Hailey Bieber to Zendaya and even Nicole Kidman, there's been no shortage of stars who haven't taken the plunge, chopping their long ends into a blunt cut above the shoulders. Some like Selena Gomez have kept their ends trimmed just in line with their shoulders, while others like Keke Palmer have stuck to traditional measures, clipping their hair chin-length and even adding micro fringe à la Anna Wintour. Sofia Richie Grainge Got a Bob to Banish Her Over-Processed Hair
Getty Images Welcome to the bob life, Sofia Richie Grainge! The model and entrepreneur just got the trendiest cut of summer 2025—one you may have seen on a little show called The White Lotus. Though some people (myself included) cut their hair off on a whim, Richie Grainge had been thinking 'long and hard' about chopping her hair for awhile, as it was feeling dry and over-processed. 'I've done one too many keratin treatments on my hair for the past six months I've just been cutting at it, cutting at it, hoping that I'd get this dead away,' Richie Grainge explained in a TikTok documenting her experience, lifting up her ends to show us the damage. 'It's just not going away. I know what I have to do to make this hair healthy again and it's to start over… so we're cutting a bob.' It was time for a 'fresh start,' and Richie Grainge was ready to go all the way; she decided she did not want a lob, but a true short bob, and landed on a jawline-length French bob style cut by George Curran. And of course she documented the entire thing on video so we could enjoy watching the transformation. Richie Grainge was thrilled with the final result. Gone was the collarbone-length blonde hair and in its place, a sleek, cropped blunt-cut bob. 'I love my bob,' she said as Curran sliced and shaped. 'I freaking love it.' And she wasn't alone! After she shared pics of the new hair, White Lotus star Leslie Bibb, who wore what has become known as a 'c*nty little bob' in the third season and helped make the ultra-short style a major summer trend, warmly welcomed Richie Grainge into the club. Today host Jenna Bush Hager also recently joined the crew, having had her short bob chopped on live TV by Bibb's stylist Chris McMillan. Leslie Bibb Set the Record Straight on Why She Hasn't Married Sam Rockwell After 18 Years Together
After both starring in season 3 of The White Lotus, fans are realizing how sweet Leslie Bibb and Sam Rockwell are more than ever before. The duo, who have been together for 18 years, are a true Hollywood power couple, but have no plans to walk down the aisle anytime soon. As this week's guest co-host of the Today Show with Jenna Bush Hager, Bibb finally explained why they've never 'put a ring on it.' 'I would put him in my pocket and carry him with me all the time. I love him, [but] I do not want to get married.' Bush Hager then asked if it was something that came up at the beginning of their relationship. As it turns out, Rockwell even annoyed her by asking her over and over again if she was sure. 'He kept saying, 'Really, you don't want to get married?'' Bibb remembered. ''Stop asking me as if I'm gonna pull a sneak on you,' but he didn't want it either.' 'Maybe it's probably something about the way we grew up, but I feel like if it ain't broke, don't fix it,' she said. Bibb then went on to say that all relationships, regardless of being married or not, have their ups and downs. 'I think this is an ideal that has been ingrained in us of long hair, fairytale, that someone's gonna come in and if we're in a relationship, everything will be okay,' she said. '[But] it's not gonna be okay, stuff happens, and it's gonna be highs and lows.' She also added that she never wanted to become a mom. 'I just don't have that chip in me,' she shared. And, despite the 18 years together, it seems Bibb and Rockwell are keeping their spark alive. 'I do think it gets better,' she said. 'I think the intimacy of a relationship is sexy to me. You can all have all the hot sex in the beginning, but you gotta reinvent.' Later on in the episode, Rockwell joined both Bibb and Bush Hager for an interview. There, Bush Hagr asked Rockwell about his first impressions of his girlfriend. 'We had that kind of thunderbolt, like 'Dream Weaver' moment in Wayne's World when we saw each other,' Rockwell gushed. 'I found out that she studied in the same acting school that I did, so that was really handy.' Bibb, on the other hand, tried to play it cool. 'I thought you were really cute and I pretended I didn't know who you were,' she remembered. Speaking of their first date, Rockwell remembered that they ended up extending their date to dinner after their day date went so well. 'It's good, you were single, you were ready to mingle,' she told him. 'And I just put my little talons and I said 'No, you're mine.'' 'And they're still in,' Rockwell added.
