Miley Cyrus shares insights into her relationship with Maxx Morando
Singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus, has finally opened up on her relationship with Maxx Morando. The pop icon also teased that she's a "cougar" whilst discussing her relationship. She spoke about being older than her partner on a podcast recently and also paid tribute to the fellow musician, reports ' Miley, now 32, has been romantically linked to Maxx, now 26, since 2021. The Grammy Award winner previously revealed that she first went on a blind date with the drummer, who's in the music industry himself as a member of the rock band Liily. As per ' she spoke about Maxx whilst on the latest episode of the 'Sorry We're Cyrus' podcast, which is hosted by her mother Tish Cyrus, 58, and older sister Brandi Cyrus, 38. Miley teased on the podcast that the three of them are all "cougars". Miley shared that she is five years older than Max, but said they become four years apart for a brief period. It was noted on the podcast that their age gap is bigger than those in Tish and Brandi's respective relationships. Brandi is dating Matt South, 36, at the moment. Whilst parent Tish - who was married to Billy Ray Cyrus, 63, for more than a decade - is now married to Prison Break star Dominic Purcell, 55, after having tied the knot back in 2023. The discussion came after Brandi asked her sibling and mother on the podcast: "What does it say about the three of us that technically we are all cougars?" Miley then responded to the question by teasing: "So many things!" She went on to suggest that the age difference in her relationship is the biggest. Miley questioned on the episode, "Am I the landslide? Is mine the most? (sic)". Tish agreed with the suggestion, before her daughter spoke about Maxx. Miley said, "He'll be 27 when I turn 33, which I'm so excited for him to turn 27 because that was, again, such a great year for me'. The former Hannah Montana star said that it's the age she was when she began to "turn her life around". Miley however told her Tish and Brandi that she couldn't be with someone who had a different personality. She said during the discussion: "But I couldn't be with someone that doesn't sting. They would have been toast already."

Miley Cyrus premiered her visual album Something Beautiful on June 6 at the Beacon Theatre at the Tribeca Film Festival. Not only was Maxx Morando at her side during the event, he was all throughout the film, including in a steamy scene where the real-life couple does some on screen kissing. For her song 'End of the World,' the Liily drummer is actually seen in silhouette on the drum kit as Cyrus performs, his distinctive hairdo clearly visible. Morando makes another brief appearance in 'Walk of Fame,' leaning against a wall as she passes by, dancing across the Hollywood stars' names. In that video, she pays special attention to Arnold Schwarzenegger's star, according to People. Cyrus dated the actor's son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, in 2014 while separated from Liam Hemsworth. The singer's current boyfriend makes the biggest appearance in her final song 'Reborn,' according to E! Online. The couple kisses and enjoy some PDA, then are later seen side-by-side on a bed. After the visual album premiered, the couple was seen walking hand-in hand with Cyrus wearing a strapless gold and mirrored dress with a pair of pointed-toe gold heels, carrying a black clutch in one hand. In late May, a source told Us Weekly that the couple is doing very well even though they make few public appearances. 'Everyone close to Miley says Maxx brings out the best in her,' the insider said. 'They make a lot of sense as a couple.' 'They work very well as a team,' the source shared. 'Maxx shares the same passion for music, and he's one of Miley's biggest cheerleaders.' They continued, 'Miley's in her healing era. She's in a really good place after doing a lot of introspective work on herself and figuring out who she is.'

Morando is a drummer for Liily but has worked with Cyrus on her upcoming album, Something Beautiful. He even appeared playing the drums in the music video for its single 'End of the World.' 'They work very well as a team,' the source shared. 'Maxx shares the same passion for music, and he's one of Miley's biggest cheerleaders.' Cyrus is doing well going into this next chapter of her career. 'Miley's in her healing era,' the insider explained.
