The truth about Meghan Markle's 'bare-faced look': Makeup artist Daniel Martin reveals the products he uses to make the Duchess look 'all natural'

The Duchess of Sussex 's makeup artist, Daniel Martin, has revealed the secret behind Meghan's 'no makeup' look. The New York-based creative, who is one of Meghan's closest friends, having collaborated with the mother-of-two since her Suit days, shared the product on a Gloss Angeles podcast episode with hosts Kirbie Johnson and Sara Tan. 'This is a new product that's in my kit,' Daniel said before revealing it to be Live Tinted Hueglow, liquid highlighter drops that retail at $38 (£28). He continued, 'It does this beautiful glass. I used it on Meghan for an event, and it just gives your skin this beautiful; it's like when Pat McGrath did the whole mask that just made skin look like glass. It's that, but in a product. Co-host Kirbie asked, 'So you used that on her body?' To which he answered, 'I used it on Meghan's body, Meghan's face, because it just adds this radiance to the skin that doesn't look like makeup.' Daniel, who also did the duchess's makeup on the day of her royal wedding to Prince Harry, added that the item comes in multiple shades and that he used Golden Hour on Meghan, 43. 'I add it to foundation too if I want to a bit of radiance because the texture feels like skincare,' he continued. 'It's very compatible with makeup, and sometimes with makeup, things can get too shiny if it's already like shimmery, whereas this just gives it an added like lacquer.' Elsewhere in the podcast episode, the makeup artist discussed his social media presence. Before explaining that he doesn't plan to use TikTok despite having an account, Daniel said, 'I don't really promote work, I share my work. I share the situations I'm in with certain people. 'I don't create content specifically to try to get new business on that platform, and I think a lot of people are in that weird struggle right now. It's like, how do I show up in this space? 'And especially a fifty-something-year-old person, I don't want to come across looking so thirsty.' Daniel's appearance on the show follows reports that Meghan allegedly plans to add hotels and restaurants to her As Ever lifestyle brand. Meghan is trademarking her brand As Ever for 'hospitality services', The Sun first reported. This will reportedly include places to stay, as well as temporary lodgings and 'provision of food and drink', the newspaper revealed. Meghan could dish up a selection of her own edible creations, incorporating recipes she featured on her recent Netflix eight-part cooking show With Love, Meghan. Brand experts have claimed hotels and restaurants fit in nicely with the Duchess' business brand. Meghan touched on the topic of hosting guests in the first episode of her series, 'When I have someone stay, one of my favourite things to do is prep the guest room.' A second series of the show has already been filmed and is set to be released this Autumn, despite a series of less than ideal reviews following the programme's release in March. The show saw Meghan reveal her tips and tricks for hosting guests, as well as different recipes and party planning hacks. Her lifestyle brand's website states, 'As Ever is more than a brand - it's a love language. 'Created by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, As Ever welcomes you to a collection of products, each inspired by her long-lasting love of cooking, entertaining and hostessing.' Meghan's representatives declined to comment when approached by MailOnline. The news comes after Meghan took a break from her busy work schedule as she embarked on a trip to Disneyland with husband Prince Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The Duchess shared a series of special moments from their visit in a new post on Instagram. It appears the special time away was at least in part to celebrate their daughter Lilibet's fourth birthday. According to Meghan's post, it appears the family had a good time - sharing details of their trip, including some of the snacks they enjoyed. Notably, one picture show a large pile of corndogs and pickles on a table. It is not known what the family paid for their holiday, but the pictures certainly made it appear as though they made the most of their time away. As well as having a blast on numerous rides, both Lilibet and their son Archie, six, had the chance to meet Disney princess Elsa from Frozen. Meghan held her children's hands as they slowly walked over to take pictures with the character in a sweet moment. Meghan and Harry's kids also had fun on some rides at the amusement park, such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant and the Cars ride. The couple - who tied the knot in 2018 - also enjoying the offerings, including the Space Mountain ride.

Youth To The People Superfood Cleanser welcomes your five-a-day into your skincare routine with a kale- and spinach-enriched gel formula that features vitamins C and E. I use this daily and can attest that it effectively rids skin of makeup, SPF, and excess oils. It leaves combination and acne-prone skin looking brighter and more hydrated. Promising review: "So happy I found this stuff! I'm in my early 30s and struggle with sensitive, dry skin and acne on my chin and around my nose, and this product has done wonders for me! It smells fresh, and my skin feels clean but not stripped of moisture. A little goes a long way, but I will definitely repurchase, because my skin is looking better than it has in years. Also love that it comes in a recyclable glass bottle!" —MirMir Price: $16+ (available in three sizes and a refill option) The Ordinary GF 15% Serum refreshed the look of lackluster skin with a powerhouse (and now viral) blend of growth factors that reviewers say they can't believe work so quickly and effectively. Within just two weeks, it can help tighten and reduce the appearance of fine lines, dullness, and uneven texture. Promising reviews: "I have been using this product for a few months now and it is incredible. I'm 32 and I'm currently in law school. It's a very stressful and exhausting environment that has the potential to rapidly age you. I swear I look younger than I did when I started using this. I use it morning and night after I cleanse and let it dry before I apply my other serums. My skin looks so youthful and glowy, and my fine lines are gone. 10/10." —Mkwebb"Wow. This product has made a very noticeable difference in my skin. I see less fewer lines and it feels tighter and firmer. I love that it's lightweight and doesn't conflict with any other products I'm using. It will be a daily staple in my routine." —Apples12Price: $15.50 Ilia's Base Face Milk preps and sets your skin up for success when used with or without makeup, thanks to its super lightweight yet nourishing formula. It's designed to help strengthen the skin's natural barrier and draw hydration deep into the skin (with notable star ingredients like hyaluronic acid and prickly pear flower extract) to support the renewal process for a smoother complexion. See why it's worth the hype in this TikTok!I am in my early 30s and Ilia's Base Milk has become an essential step in my routine. My skin drinks up the lightweight (but moisturizing) formula, and I can tell the difference in my skin's texture when I forget to apply it prior to my Live Tinted tinted moisturizer or Ilia Complexion Stick. With it, my complexion appears more even in tone, and my products go on smoother and seem to last longer. Cakiness and dryness are diminished — plus the glow that's achieved when it's first a word? Luminous. Sometimes, I'll apply it just under some sunscreen when I want to give my skin a bit of breathing room from makeup, and I love the added hydrating benefits it offers without leaving any greasy or sticky residue. Needless to say, the Base Face Milk has quickly become one product that my skin can't live review: "Improved my skin texture and dryness so much! What people don't realize is this is NOT a heavy moisturizer or face cream. It's a base. You put this on right before you use a heavier moisturizer or face cream. As someone with severe dry and flaky skin. This added into my skincare routine has stopped all of that texture and leaves my skin more glowy." —chrissyqnsPrice: $28+ (available in two sizes) The Inkey List Under-Eye Cream helps to depuff and take down dark circles in one fell swoop. Created with a blend of caffeine and peptides, you can expect a more hydrated, wide-awake look. Promising review: "This stuff is incredible for the price. I don't have super dark bags, but at 33 I have 'baby bags.' This does the trick and minimizes the fine lines under my eyes, and even lessens the slight purple hue toward the corner of my eyes. It even helps my concealer not crease or dry out. For the price, I was wowed by the results. Don't sleep on this!" —sphillipsPrice: $11 And! Summer Fridays Jet Lag Overnight Eye Serum locks in moisture around the under-eye area with a gentle retinoid and glycerin blend. I apply this before bed and can confirm that it works as you sleep to help minimize the appearance of fine lines, leaving my skin more even and less crepey by the morning. Promising review: "I've been using this night undereye cream, and wow, it's so hydrating. I've already noticed fewer fine lines under my eyes. I should have taken a photo before use. I don't use many skincare products, but this is a win for sure. I'm in my late 30s now, and I will never get cosmetic work and rather use natural products. I love my mature skin. At night, I sleep with a humidifier next to me, and when I wake up, my hair is a total mess. It's frizz city. So I spray this all over my dry hair and comb it through. Through the blazing sun and lots of ocean splashes, my makeup did NOT budge."Promising review: "I've heard great things about this, and decided to purchase it as I will be a bridesmaid in a wedding soon. Promising review: "I'm so blown away by this product. I really thought this was going to be hyped up. I have combo oily skin. Lately I've been struggling with more breakouts. I'm also in my late 30s now so I'm dealing with fine lines. I've been on the search for a primer or moisturizer that would keep my skin hydrated but not make me oily and sit well under my makeup by helping blur my textured skin. I've spent a lot of money on a lot of different products and nothing has come close to what this serum has done for me. I was over the moon with just using this as a primer but to my surprise the skincare effects of this serum are also outstanding. I've used lots of different niacinamide and hyualuronic acid serums but after a week of using this night and day my skin has never looked better. My skin is more plump and the fine lines on my forehead are barely there now. My skin is much more evenly toned and brighter. It just has a healthy glow now and my skin texture is so much smoother.
