New Steelers CB Jalen Ramsey takes subtle parting shot at Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins' suddenly messy divorce with cornerback Jalen Ramsey was finalized at the end of June with a trade that sent the seven-time Pro Bowler to the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Wednesday, Ramsey spoke to Pittsburgh media for the first time and took a subtle shot at the Dolphins. "I can't necessarily say that I've played for a storied franchise like this yet," Ramsey told reporters, via the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. While there's no arguing that the Steelers, a team with six Super Bowl titles and nearly a century of seasons, isn't a storied team, the Dolphins have made their mark on football history too. Miami's 55.3 win percentage is fifth all-time (five spots ahead of Pittsburgh's 53.8 percentage) and the Dolphins have two Super Bowl titles, including one that capped the NFL's one and only undefeated season. Ramsey also had a more than three-year stint with the Los Angeles Rams, another team with a pair of Lombardi Trophies. Perhaps Ramsey has a lofty bar for his definition of a "storied franchise"? But his high praise of the Steelers inherently comes off as a dig at his prior stops.

Two Eagles games named among NFL's best of the past 25 years
Two Eagles classics land on a list of the top 25 NFL games of the past 25 years. These young Philadelphia Eagles certainly are spoiled, aren't they? Three Super Bowl appearances since the 2017-18 NFL season have led to two Lombardi Trophies and countless memories that will last a lifetime. No one is complaining. Those of us who are older have also appreciated this run. We've been battered by the disappointment that sometimes comes with being lifelong Philadelphia sports fans. Twelve teams have never won a Super Bowl. Some of them seem as though they're getting further away from having any real shot at accomplishing that goal. The Eagles, however, have continued to be one of pro football's model franchises, one that has gifted its fans and city with many great memories. A recent NFL ranking confirms the lasting impact of two Eagles classics In total, the Eagles have won five championships. Three titles preceded the 1966 NFL/AFL merger, with Philadelphia winning NFL Championships in 1948, 1949, and 1960. The aforementioned Super Bowls were won in the 52nd and 59th editions. It's impossible to count the number of classic wins we have seen. Two of those wins were mentioned in a unique NFL ranking. With a quarter century in the books, Sports Illustrated recently stacked the top 25 games of the past 25 NFL seasons. Two iconic matchups featuring the Birds cracked the countdown. The 'Miracle at the New Meadowlands' cracks the list at number 16 thanks to a come-from-behind victory and DeSean Jackson's walk-off punt-return TD. To no one's surprise, Philadelphia's shootout with Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, and the New England Patriots cracks the top five. It's a game that's first on Eagles fans' hearts but fourth on SI's ranking. "The Eagles' creativity won them this epic back-and-forth thriller. They unleashed the iconic Philly Special when Foles went to the sideline near the end of the first half, asking coach Doug Pederson to run the trick play. Foles moved away from the center and allowed running back Corey Clement to take the snap before tossing it back to tight end Trey Burton, who found a rolling Foles for the touchdown connection." Ranked ahead of Super Bowl LII are '13 Seconds', Patrick Mahomes' dagger in overtime to give the Kansas City Chiefs a win over the Buffalo Bills during a playoff shootout that went into overtime. That ranks third. Seattle's decision to blow the Super Bowl by passing instead of handing the ball to Marshawn Lynch found its way into the number two slot. Frankly, Super Bowl LII was a better game than both of those contests. Tom Brady and the Patriots' come-from-behind effort in Super Bowl LI ranks first. They erased a 28-3 deficit on the big stage, so we guess we can live with that. The only question remaining is as follows. Where on Earth is Super Bowl LIX? Maybe our views are slanted and our desires are rooted in selfishness, but one of the greatest upsets in league history should, at minimum, be top five.

Nick Foles is deservedly set to be inducted into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame.
Nick Foles will deservingly be immortalized by Arizona's Sports Hall of Fame. NFL ChampionSuper Bowl MVP@ArizonaFBall's Leader in Career Passing YardsWelcome to the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame, Nick Foles! Never has a nickname been more appropriate. Once Nick Foles returned to the Philadelphia Eagles and led the team that drafted him to Super Bowl glory, it was official. Saint Nick... That says it all. It has a significant tone to it. The name is also mentioned in conjunction with one of our favorite holidays. As the other 'Saint Nick' is credited with riding on a sleigh led by reindeer, Foles is the only man walking who can say he was the first quarterback to start for Philadelphia and win football's biggest game. That night in February, Super Bowl LII was a gift that keeps on giving to Eagles fans. Philadelphia has two Lombardi Trophies now, but you know what they say. You never forget your first. Foles was recently given another honor. He will be inducted into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame. This is yet another feather in the cap for what has been a respectable football career. Congratulations to Nick Foles. The City of Brotherly Love and the Arizona Wildcats owe him a debt of thanks. Now comes the more selfish question. How do we get this guy a bust carved and set in Canton, Ohio? Based on sthe tory alone, we believe he deserves one.

8 hidden facts and details of the Eagles' Super Bowl ring
Philadelphia unveiled their Super Bowl 59 rings on Friday night, and we're examining eight hidden facts and details about the glitzy design The Eagles unveiled their Super Bowl rings commemorating their championship on Friday night as players received their rings in a team ceremony. Players were sized for their rings and selected designs during the locker room cleanout and exit interviews with the media in February. The Super Bowl LIX Championship Ring was crafted by Jason of Beverly Hills, measuring 41 millimeters in diameter and featuring a total of 12 carats in diamonds, with a combined weight of 140 grams. The ring is composed of white gold and features a green sapphire, symbolizing the Eagles' performance. With training camp just days away, we're examining eight hidden facts and details about the glitzy design. Top of the ring The top of the ring has two Lombardi Trophies for the two Super Bowls the Eagles have won since 2017. One side of the ring has the 40-22 final score from February. The other side of Hurts' ring has his name and jersey number. Middle inscription The middle inscription displays the final score of all four postseason matchups, beginning with the Wild Card win over the Packers and concluding with the Super Bowl win over Kansas City. Wings that pop out The rings also include a mechanism that allows the 'WINGS' to pop out of the ring and expand. 18 wins on the way to Super Bowl glory Philadelphia went 14-3 during the regular season and then won four more postseason games. To commemorate that journey, every ring has 18 stones at the top. Player name Every player has their name and signature on the dazzling ring. Ten points of diamonds Philadelphia went on a ten-game win streak after starting the season out 2-2, and the franchise had ten diamonds placed at the top of the ring to commemorate the streak. Brazilian Flag Things started off with an impressive win over the Packers in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the team celebrated that achievement by including a Brazilian Flag above the final score from their four playoff wins. Coach Siriani's message We highlighted the wings that protrude from the rings, and they feature an engraved message from head coach Nick Sirianni. "You can't be great without the greatness of others" There are 0.9 carats on those wings to represent six sacks and three takeaways in the Super Bowl.
