West Coast rail passengers warned of disruption until end of day
Rail passengers are being warned of major disruption along the West Coast Main Line. National Rail said an incident between Rugby and Stoke-on-Trent meant travel was expected to be affected until the end of the operators and routes affected are Avanti West Coast between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street, as well London Northwestern Railway between Crewe, Rugby and London Euston. Avanti West Coast passengers are warned that stations between Rugby and Lichfield Trent Valley will not be served, however tickets will be accepted on London Northwestern Railway between London Euston and Liverpool Lime Street via Birmingham New Street. London Northwestern Railway passengers are able to travel on Avanti West Coast and CrossCountry trains between any reasonable route. National Rail added that it had requested for rail replacement buses to operate between Rugby and Stafford, however the service was yet to start. Train derailment causes chaos in London
A train derailed near Milton Keynes, specifically in Bletchley, causing significant disruption to rail services. The low-speed derailment occurred on Thursday with no passengers on board and no injuries reported. Major disruption is expected until the end of the day, affecting services from London Euston on the West Coast mainline. Trains to destinations including Manchester, Glasgow, Chester, Edinburgh, and Liverpool are experiencing delays of up to 90 minutes or cancellations. Passengers are advised to check for alternative routes and ticket acceptance on other services provided by London Northwestern Railway and Avanti West Coast.

Train veers off track forcing long delays for Euston passengers
Rail passengers are facing major rush hour disruption after a train came off its track closing rail lines. National Rail has warned of long delays for the rest of the day following the 'low-speed derailment' in Bletchley near Milton Keynes. Both stations are on the West Coast Mainline, the primary route for trains between London and the North West. It was not carrying passengers and no injuries were reported, the rail company said. Trains operated by London Northwestern Railway and Avanti West Coast could be delayed or cancelled. A spokesperson for LNWR said: 'We are working closely with Network Rail to resolve the disruption as soon as possible. In the meantime, ticket acceptance is available with East Midlands Railway and Transport for London Overground.' More Trending Avanti said in a statement that passengers could use tickets on the two services before and after their booked train as well as via alternative routes with other operators. In a statement, Euston station said: 'For safety reasons, all lines between Milton Keynes and Bletchley were temporarily closed and we have worked quickly to reopen two of the four tracks on the West Coast Main Line. 'Although some trains are running again, we expect this incident to cause significant disruption to journeys today and we are working to recover the timetables as quickly as possible. 'Major disruption' after train derails near Milton Keynes

London Northwestern Railway contactless customers overcharged
