The Top 10 TV Friend Groups We Want To Be In

Some friend groups exist only on screen, but their impact? Very real. Here's my very biased and emotionally driven ranking of the best fictional friend groups to ever grace our screens — and yes, I still daydream about being invited out with them. 1. The Sex and the City Girls (Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, and Samantha) Four women. One city. Endless cosmos and complicated dating lives. They were messy, iconic, loyal, and stylish. They talked about love like it was a language, and friendship like it was their life source. If you say you don't want to be the mysterious fifth friend who occasionally shows up, drops one-liners, and gets a little bit of too honest sex advice, you're lying. 2. The New Girl Loft Crew They're chaotic. They're dysfunctional. They make up drinking games and still act like college students well into adulthood. That's my idea of perfection. 3. The Sex Education Squad (Otis, Eric, Maeve, and Co.) They talked through every weird high school moment and did activism. Talk about getting yourself a group that can do both! Also, Eric deserves his own spinoff. 4. The Plastics — but only if you're Cady Heron by the end of the movie Let's be real: We all kind of wanted the Burn Book experience just a little. You'd learn the hard way, but you'd come out stronger and even better dressed. That is a win in my (Burn) book. 5. The Friends Friends Yes, they were always at that coffee shop. Yes, the show hasn't aged perfectly. But yes, we all still low-key want to be invited to Thanksgiving at Monica's. Found family vibes, but with way too many love triangles. Can't guys and girls be just friends? 6. The iCarly Crew They basically invented the content creator lifestyle before it was cool (like, it's giving original Vlog Squad). They had a web show, chaotic energy, and deep ride-or-die ties. Spencer was an honorary member, obviously. 7. The High School Musical Gang (Wildcats forever) They broke into song and dance during lunch. And no one questioned it. That's support. I would harmonize in the hallway if it meant being accepted. Not to mention, no friend group at my high school was ever that good-looking, just saying. 8. The One Tree Hill Crew They were always falling in love, falling apart, and falling into emotional monologues at the River Court, but through it all, they showed up for each other. Whether you were Team Peyton, Team Brooke, or Team "Lucas just needs to journal," you know this friend group defined this era of television, down to the iconic theme song. 9. The Euphoria Girls — as long as you have insurance... Toxic? Yes. Entertaining? Also yes. You'll cry, fight, and maybe lose a shoe in the process, but you'll look great and have a better time doing it. 10. The Gossip Girl Inner Circle (Blair, Serena, Nate, Chuck, and Dan…kinda) Was it toxic? Absolutely. But did it look good? Every single time. This was friendship with trust funds, betrayal, brunch, and drama. No one trusted each other, but they needed each other. Besides, what else can make a friend group tighter than one common enemy? XOXO, forever. Would you want to be in any of these friend groups? Let me know in the comments!
